Can you only fill out the FAFSA if you do not want to request aid from the college itself? i.e. not fill out the CSS Profile? My college states they need the CSS & FAFSA if applying for financial aid, but wondering why they would need to know if I filled out the FAFSA. It might help in the admission process for need-aware schools if presenting myself as a full paying candidate?
