My wife and I holidayed in Monte Carlo (Monaco) in 1983, months after Princess Grace died there. The principality was sad and in deep mourning. Years later, here in Britain, when Princess Diana died in a car crash, in Paris, the feeling of loss was very similar. Whatever the details of their private lives, the untimely deaths of those two regally glamorous women came as a visceral shock in their communities.

Some said Stephanie was driving. Yes, I think Grace deserved to be a Princess. She was in lots of great movies. Her career was not ruined. How do they know she slept with all of those men. Did they sleep under her bed? I hate how some people have to gleefully demean beautiful people. It’s not nice.

Grace Kelly is one of the most beautiful human beings - ever. She also adored her children and she had premonitions for years that she might die in a car crash (car scenes in To Catch a Thief terrified her). It’s so tragic that is what happened - a stroke that caused a car crash and young Stephanie was with her.

I was born in '76 and didn't know of her until I saw documentaries and such on classic Hollywood over the years. The only movie I know for sure I saw her in was "Rear Window" and I really enjoyed it. She was great in that movie. That said, she did hoodwink the prince, but you have to get it the way you can. No judgments because her hubby had his affairs too, I've heard.

Contrast Grace with Ann Margaret. Ann Margaret was even more talented with singing and dancing abilities. Ann loved Elvis who would have demanded she give up her career but she was fortunate that Elvis turned her down to marry Priscilla. Ann met a man whose own career was dwindling due to illness and he loved Ann so much that he devoted his life to advancing Ann's career. The couple stayed together through illness and injury with a successful marriage spanning decades. Grace wasn't so fortunate with her marriage. I would have loved to have seen Grace act again.

a lot of it may have to do with her name and how it is pleasant to say and it sounds pleasant and sophisticated, seriously. If you look at actresses who inexplicably never really went anywhere they usually had non-memorable names and the ones, like Marilyn Monroe, who hit it big, had catchy and fun to say names.

When Kelly's mother arrived at the shooting location, it was going to be untenable and he didn't want to deal with it. With his looks and stature, he could have any woman he wanted, so Grace Kelly with mom in tow didn't have to be an option.

"To Catch a Thief" was a great movie one of my favorites. Grace Kelly and Cary Grant obviously had a wonderful chemistry together. The fast driving scene in her Sunbeam Alpine was obviously simulated Grace Kelly was very much afraid of driving because of her premonition that she would die driving. I suspect the fear may have increased her adrenalin and BP resulting in the hemorrhagic stroke which caused her death going around a hairpin turn on a road very similar to the road in "To Catch a Thief". Many wonder why she was even driving on the day of her death, particularly a relatively large 11yo Rover P6 V8 which was not exactly built for tight winding roads.

Sadly, there are different goal posts for men than for women concerning sex. Grace Kelly was human and one of the most attractive women in the world. She wanted both worlds, the security of a long relationship and the excitement of different lovers. I have been hurt by women playing around. If she convinced Prince Ranier she was virgin, this emphasized her reputation as an incredible actress. I am glad I was never tempted by a woman as she was, I don't know if I could resist.
