Beautiful vid Stan! Glad to see the Powda! Been hard watching all the mud down the cat trails to the lifts the last couple weeks. That is some tight tree skiing in that cliff area! Nice job staying in one piece.
I now understand why it was essential to legalise pot in Canada….the lineups, the lack of base, trees so tight they are not really rideable…..you’d need to be well cooked to enjoy that!
Great one again Stan... I feel your pain!!! The same thing happen to me up at Jay Peak a couple of weeks back, could not ski the next day. Luckily I am getting much better after a few Physical Therapy sections, just got back from Stowe and first day was pain free but yesterday felt a bit tender again so I stopped early... plenty of sason ahead to enjoy!!! watch out for those trenches and keep it coming!!!
Wow! we were there from 18/12 to 3/1 and it was still brown to town just can't believe the transformation. We bowed out of the Creekside line on Boxing day at 08:45 not having moved for 15mins so props to you for having faith and patience. Would we have skied like you? Not a cat in hell's chance but really enjoyed watching you slay it.
Thx for posting the line because it gives destination skiers a taste of the growing resident populations of Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler, & Pemberton that are high percentage pow hounds, snow snobs. If you're a family looking to spin groomer laps on a mid-mountain lift on a pow day, then be prepared to wait. Massive pow panic.
😜 had to look for untracked snow with the amount of people up there so I strayed from the beaten path a little and risked it with the rocky thin lines.😂
@@stanrey7 I mean if you're gonna stand in the Harmony line for an hour, better make your run down count. I stuck out by Flute - main bowl was holding good snow even until 4pm last night. But, uh, new legs please.
Saturday was so dope! Couple bad line-ups but the skiing was absolutely stellar. Love a pow day in early Jan when the sun isn't strong enough to bake the snow yet. Was also on the Harmony program but went over to Flute when the lines got bad. Wish I was up today another 30cm and midweek... hope to see another vid haha.
Wow. I can't actually imagine what it must feel like to ski in all that powder. I've only been skiing a few times before and we didn't get any fresh snow any of the times. Going skiing in february so im hoping for a pow day maybe even half as good as this😀
@@stanrey7 I’m from Australia and I used to go there every winter about 20 years ago! We used to stay at the Shoestring Hotel down near Nestor’s. oh the memories. Had some amazing ski days there!!
Worst ski resort ever. Queues everywhere for 2 hours. I've been to way bigger and better ski resorts in Japan and Europe where the longest queues are 15 minutes
Best one yet! Skiing tight trees in powder!! 🙌
Glad you enjoyed that mayhem!
Amazing skiing! Glad some pow days have finally arrived. Thanks for sharing.
More snow to come! We need it up there. Cheers!
You sir...are a ridiculously ballsy skier. In a good way. Excellent runs!
Cheers!

Thanks 👍. It was a bit thinner then i thought it would be in there!

or just grow up here and it becomes the norm. haha

Ya those ditches come out of nowhere. Just pulled a a muscle or two but I’m all good! Have a great season!

ya big transformation for sure. we still need lots of snow but its a lot better then it was thats for sure.
I made the boot pack for vd trees that day (: was an amazing lap
Thanks for breaking trail! It was awesome!
Was such a great day, I was at the Creek at 5:50 and still not first . but first down whis bowl and Shale ;)
Those two runs must of been awesome! I bet they were worth the wait! such a fun day!
@@stanrey7you know you either wait at the front and get the best or wait at the back for sloppy 50thiest 😂. Either way your waiting

It was mayhem but worth the wait if you ask me! The line up on Boxing Day was less worth it.😂
Great Video. Unbelievable speed and co-ordination!
Thank you very much! Appreciate the kind words!
Holy shit. These Canadians go crazy for that pow. Thought it was bad for us in Austria. But never seen something like this
Pretty much all of North America is bad with lift lines like this. Check out some of the videos from Vail last year on a pow day
They sure do!
@@Phallas-vo9ncinterior BC isn’t too bad. Even Banff I’ve never seen like this
So much for the word "remote"
😂
Insane skiing
Hah! Well I guess that answers the question I had on Saturday of who put tracks on Staggerhome and Harmony Waterfall. Such a fun weekend up there.
😜 had to look for untracked snow with the amount of people up there so I strayed from the beaten path a little and risked it with the rocky thin lines.😂

Couldn't agree more! The line ups sucked but the skiing was well worth it!
A little late but such a beautiful bluebird pow day it's always worth the wait. 🙂
It was indeed!
Dood epic pow, tanks fo day share.
Thanks for Watching! glad you enjoyed it!
That cliff line was bonkers dude
Thanks doggy!
Skiing Rule #1: Try to ski like Stan Rey
🤣 that’s a good rule!
what a skier and what a place!! keep it up! I wanted to ask you, are these the new qst blanks for 2025?
Cheers! No they are actually prototypes for a ski that’s coming out soon!
Holy deep!!
It was indeed!

I hope you get a good pow day! They are a blast!
Whats the first location he went to?
Haha i heard “BD’s.” heading there next week and hiking that bit seems like the best pow
You’re not far off it’s call VD trees!
Incredible skiing bro. Love from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you 🙌! it was a fun day!
Great video Stan!
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers
Show the two mile long lift lines
sbout time i found your channel! love it
Glad you enjoy it!
PS your'e backyard is my dream! Ill have some golf content coming out in the summer maybe i should make a trip out east to hit the links!
I miss Whistler! You certainty like to be adventurous
It is an amazing resort but its even more fun when its less busy!
@@stanrey7 I’m from Australia and I used to go there every winter about 20 years ago! We used to stay at the Shoestring Hotel down near Nestor’s. oh the memories. Had some amazing ski days there!!
going here for the first time this weekend!!
Have fun!
thx for the video looks amazing! is this the peak side?
This was on harmony. Peak line was bananas and decided to stay on the harmony side!
@@stanrey7 oops yes just wondering the first part of the video where you were hugging the rock :)
I will be in whistler in 50 days do you have any nice ideas where to go/visit ?
If it's a pow day, then visit the lift line. The line will be available at every lift except magic chair & P2P.
Id recommend the Peak to Peak on a sunny day as well as the peak of Whistler! the views are amazing!
🤣
so much pow you can go right over the logs
😝
I pray that isn't how your lift lines look like every weekend/time it snows? Shocking beyond belief
It unfortunately is.
Have to pay me to wait that long, I'll pass, lol
lol would never wait in lines like that to go skiing ever
Dont come to Whistler then cause thats a regular pow day up here.
@@stanrey7 I won’t lol I’ll stick to lake Louise. Kicking horse and the surrounding hills
Nice work! What were the first few runs you did called?
You take goats path to VD trees!
Are the lines always that busy? I’m going in march
If it snows, then prepare to meet every pow hound from Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler, & Pemberton. It's insane, but it's fun!
On a pow day it can be for sure!
Where was that first run that you hiked up?
Goat path to VD chutes... Check the fat map
goats path to VD's is right!
Where was that cat track that that guy 360 off of
Thats right the bottom of harmony on the skiers left.
how do you get such good noise reduction
I’m just using the gopro max with wind reduction on!
how long dp these lift lines take?? looks like hours every time you need to take a lift!
It varies but they took anywhere from 30-50 minutes every time.
Jesus I’m not used to that lol. Everywhere In Europe or Canada iv been there has been 0 lift lines 😂
what camera do you use?
The GoPro Max!
is this the 98 or 92
This is a new QST 116 that will be coming out.
how can you ski that fucking good
Practice
practice, repetition and skiing since i was 2 so that helps!
Too bad it's "vile resorts!" I don't do any "vile resort!"
Ha i Don't blame you.
Worst ski resort ever. Queues everywhere for 2 hours. I've been to way bigger and better ski resorts in Japan and Europe where the longest queues are 15 minutes
Why would you want to wait that long. Forget about it.
You are not wrong but its the best resort terrain wise in north America in my opinion!
2 hour queues everywhere ? False
Read your About me: Pretty cool man! I’m 52 and just started skiing, I can see why you love it. Awesome
Cheers!
This is why you don’t follow tracks
That’s right. We’ve all done it though haha.
