Dear Joe, this is amazing video, thank you for putting this up. However, I’ve found some discrepancies between the observation and theory calculation in it. For 6:20 in the video. The O-scope tells me that the experiment of V peak at 4V. When you set the frequency at 50Hz, with 47mH pure inductance circuit, the total current is 20.9mA. By calculation, XL=2*pi*f*L=14.77Ohm in theory and the current should be 4*0.707/14.77=191mA. It shows the same 10x discrepancy between observation and theory. Later on, the frequency was set to 110Hz in 6:55 in the video, the frequency more than doubled than 50Hz, which means XL should also be more than doubled. However, the current in the circuit only droped to 20.5mA. The theory current should be 4/(2*pi*110*0.047)=87mA. The dicrepancy converged a bit (20.5mA in observation VS 87mA). Have you got any idea why this happens? Thanks!
so when you increase the frequency during an inductive circuit; current decreases and resistance increases. What happens to power factor and phase angle when you increase frequency and how are phase angle and power factor related to frequency? I'm currently in the electrical program in states and I'm not understanding how frequency relates to impedance,angle theta, and power factors.
you can see here maybe, that the maximum frequency a computer can be is the inductance of the wire itself, and then it starts reactively decreasing the amps going through it.

What about the voltage?
The voltage will affect the current flow, not the inductive reactance.
