Salaam. I am from saudi arabia. My question is - How can I terminate 1x 144F Fiber Cable in 6 different 24 fiber Patch Panel ? Can i take the buffer tube of 24 strands in Patch panel. Is it acceptable.
Hi Abdul Gaffar, It is not recommended to split the cable in more than one panel. The ideal solution is to terminate the cable in a 144-patch panel. But this does not mean you can not do it. You must make sure that the tubes are well protected in the rack and you have enough slag for the splicing and the future maintenance. You must confirm first with the manufactured if they will accept it as this may void the warranty. Another 2 parties that should approve this are the consultant and the client.
Thanks for posting
My pleasure!
