The thing about trauma is that to try to protect yourself from the psychological pain and horror of what's been done to you your brain will try to rationalize it and try to find ways to make it not that bad or even good so you can avoid the psychological damage. It's a coping and defense mechanism. The fact that you got pleasure from it is irrelevant but it is something that predators and lawyers will use all the time to delegitimize your argument. What happened is disgusting but it is not your fault. Never ever ever let someone try to paint it as such. I was never taken to counseling or to get any kind of exam for them my Mom just thought I was being difficult. @Madison Waycaster I've been through quite a lot of trauma, but the second trauma experience, my brain "forgot" a lot of things. Well, it didn't forget but kind of filed it away to protect me until my brain thought I was ready to deal with the trauma, I still miss certain memories. The brain is an amazing computer, basically. Had more trauma since then, but nothing that I've forgotten about "that I know of."

I was in a coma and suffered a stroke when I was 16 and basically all of my memories before that time, and many since are either fragmented or just plain missing: names, faces, place, events all simply gone. Omg, when you rationalized the trauma and said “it was fun” just open a floodgate of past experiences when I said the exact same thing but in actuality I was in an unsafe environment and convinced myself I’m safe in order to deal with what harm was happening so I can survive the situation and “move on” but I never really do. Wow! Those experiences triggered a lot of flashbacks of my own experiences. I don't think this behavior is relegated to just the industry. It is our society in general. Thus the #metoo movement. Little by little we are making progress as women. More of us need to band together and fight this treatment. Every situation she mentioned was about power and control. That's the driver behind rape. Take some self defense classes, start setting boundaries and stay sober. This is one way of taking our power back. Even if it means you have to beat the crap out of them. This happened to me, with a very wealthy man, who was a regular at my work. I naively thought we were "friends" and that he saw me as a "buddy" - no. We went out for drinks and I'm like 130 lbs soaking wet, he's a HUGE 250 lbs 6 ft man. He got me WASTED, so wasted I blacked out at the bar, woke up in his penthouse to him an*lly r*ping me. We blame ourselves because we were drunk, or had poor boundaries, or didn't notice the red flags. But only one person committed a crime, and it wasn't us.

So, it's probably not a good idea to get girls wasted so that you can have sex with them, and it's probably not a good idea to sit alone and drink with a guy at his place or your place unless you want to and are planning to have sex with him. It would help us avoid 90 percent of these situations because it seems to me in all of these situations, we are just relying on someone word and no one knows who to believe. The story this woman told is really a bit strange to me, I mean I get cult like behavior, and she was trying to play it off, but it opened up a lot of questions like she convinced herself that it was okay and she was talking back and forth and all of that? for Months? It just doesn't sound like aggressive behavior, she convinced herself that it was fun? I just don't think this type of thing would hold up in court is all I'm saying and we have courts for a reason. A person can't just make up scenarios that didn't really happen, if she went over there and sucked the guys dick and he didn't force you then that's not really "assault" or anything that is a choice that you made and for every choice there is a consequence. If someone really is hurting you or is making you feel uncomfortable you need to tell them to stop and forcefully leave if you have too and don't keep texting him then go back over there again and suck his dick again. Otherwise, it's not a threat. In court, if you shoot someone it has to be an equal threat to you. Like you can't just shoot someone dead for throwing a punch at you. Thats not going to help if someone is actually hurting you. Another thing too though is someone who slanders people and lies and exaggerates things so they can ruin peoples lives is also a very bad thing to do along with sexual assault so if she is doing that then shame on her. If the guy hurt her or took advantage of her then okay, I get it but to me it sounds like this is just her basically going off and sucking this guys dick, he didn't have much respect for her afterwards, she didn't like it, and now she is making it seem like this guy was doing some crazy "power dominance thing" when really he was just responding to a girl that he thinks wants to have sex with him. I mean some girls will literally do anything to be famous, she literally said she wanted to be "in with these people" and they were kind of "star makers" so she was actively looking for these people. It just sounds like she is painting a really pretty picture of herself to me in this situation and that might not be the truth.

As a man who works with children/youth I've heard plenty of young girls/ladies who've been moved from group to group home and have been repeatedly abused and assaulted by either the women who run the group homes, their family members who are women or both.

The thing about trauma is that to try to protect yourself from the psychological pain and horror of what's been done to you your brain will try to rationalize it and try to find ways to make it not that bad or even good so you can avoid the psychological damage. It's a coping and defense mechanism. The fact that you got pleasure from it is irrelevant but it is something that predators and lawyers will use all the time to delegitimize your argument. Well, it didn't forget but kind of filed it away to protect me until my brain thought I was ready to deal with the trauma, I still miss certain memories.

Wow! Those experiences triggered a lot of flashbacks of my own experiences. I don't think this behavior is relegated to just the industry. It is our society in general. Thus the #metoo movement. We blame ourselves because we were drunk, or had poor boundaries, or didn't notice the red flags. But only one person committed a crime, and it wasn't us.
