Arcturus AK01 Project Complete Review - Mods and upgrades after one year of use

This video is my "Project Complete" review of the Arcturus AK01. I have been modifying, upgrading and fielding this AEG for about a year. In this review I cover the changes I made to it and how I overcame some of its shortcomings. Specifically I discuss how to switch the battery from being wired under the top cover to the stock tube position.

Hey, I'd really appreciate if you could provide an answer. I recently purchased an Arcturus AK01 and I want to convert it, as closely as possible, to an Alpha AK. So I am looking at the front rail and upper top cover. I already know I can change the AK 01 top cover with AK 04 but do you happen to know if a Cyma X47 (C04-AK) rail would fit on this?

Nice setup. From the sound of the trigger pulls, the shimming is a bit off. Reshimming the gearbox will greatly improve your ROF and trigger response, as well as increase longevity.

Question, how where you able to move the wires to the stock? I tried and I feel like the only way is to remove the gearbox any tips? Or did you cut the plugs and redo them once you moved it? Thanks
Edit) I just checked and seen the the wire is to short so I’m assuming you redid the wiring what gauge did you use?

16 AWG I believe.

Great review! Doesn't the aiming front sight block aiming through the optics? I was thinking of making the same set-up, and this is my only concern. It seems like the shape of the front sight (full circle) would overlap observation through the scope. I thought maybe I would even need to grind off the top part of the aiming front sight.

The irons take up the lower 1/3rd of the redthen. This is a common set up in real steel applications. I don't even notice them.

Wondering if you've thought about swapping the connections on the AEG and battery to deans (t-plugs)?

I used to convert my guns to deans but I got tired of it. I never observed any advantage that made it worth the effort.

Is the mount a AK-301M Front Biased mount? I’m interested in buying one but not sure Which one it is I see a lot of different mounts
