Casela World of Adventures is the most visited attraction in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean. Open all year except for Christmas and New Year's Day, the adventure park welcomes Mauritians and tourists of all ages since 1979. Overlooking cane fields on the west coast of the island, with the Rempart mountain in As a backdrop, Casela is probably named after "Lakaz-la", which means "The house" in the local language. Initially a bird sanctuary, the park born from the vision of a group of nature lovers who wanted to save the trees that grew on the site by creating a garden.
