You are awesome, thank you
Sherlock Holmes stories have always been a favorite, and this format makes them even better for relaxation. The audio quality is excellent, and the narrator's voice is incredibly soothing.
I have fairly severe insomnia. I either can't fall asleep or I can't stay asleep. This is the first time in 3 weeks that I have gotten more than 2 hours of sleep per night. Thank you! You are a godsend! The only issue is finding where I fell asleep so I don't miss anything.

Try magnesium 😴
@rachelr2746 Trust me, all the supplements in the world have been tried. Sometimes they just don't work.
This is THE BEST!!! Thank you so much for using a black screen!!! Anything on the screen is so distracting when trying to sleep. Added this one to my faves! Thank you so much!
I’m glad you like it! And thank you for adding timestamps!! 😀
It's like going to sleep with Class. Thank you!
I love this!! So glad you enjoy it! :D
Thank you for these wonderful readings. I love your voice.
Absolutely splendid! Before now, I’ve never listened to an audiobook to help me fall asleep in my life. But tonight, this wound up being just what I needed!
Thanks Mike ❤️
This is my favorite reading. Excellent voice and pace of reading. If this is your channel, sir, may you do well. Thank you. ❤
Thank you sir for this audiobook.😊
Irene Adler is a fictional character in the Sherlock Holmes stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A former opera singer and actress, she was featured in the short story "A Scandal in Bohemia", published in July 1891. Adler is one of the most notable female characters in the Sherlock Holmes series, despite appearing in only one story. While not technically a criminal and bearing no malice towards Holmes, she outsmarts him and evades his traps. Sherlock Holmes refers to her afterward respectfully as "the Woman." ~ Wiki
I wish there were more stories with her in it!
@@sleepaudiobooks The story is also told in the modern British series “Sherlock” as the Scandal in Belgravia, and in the Guy Ritchie Sherlock movies, though in a limited manner. It’s one of my fave stories.
She is a brilliant clever hero with a status above royalty
Sleep audibook, nice title 😁
Thanks!
Really enjoyed this thank you 😊
Hello Cousins ! If you have a friend who is visually impaired I would suggest this video they were very helpful for me
Awesome story.Thank you so much. The dark screen also really helps❤🎉😊🎉❤
"You have a grand gift for silence Watson. It makes you quite invaluable as a companion." - Sherlock Holmes ... and that quote right there is partially why I decided to get a divorce
These are great, The Cat who series would be perfect for this
I will look into those! Thanks 🙏
The 5 Orange Pips is the Basil Rathbone's/Sherlock movie House of Fear. One of my favorites of his.
Thank you for this.
I'm glad you like it! If you have any requests, please let me know!
Fall asleep in minutes but its 10 hours long! I agree with first story "a scandal...
so, when I awaken during the night, there's continuity

Thanks a lot for listening! :)
Love you
Great. I love these stories. Dr. Watsons thoughts on Holmes can be pretty funny. Who is the narrator of these stories? I often listen to audiobooks based on who the narrator is.👍💤
Narrator is David Clarke! Just added to description :D
Thanks! I appreciate it 😁
Thanks for the great video. Well done.
Clan of the cave BEAR.
When will you do The Return of Sherlock? There's a libravox version of that book, too
We'll put it on the list! thank you :D

A humble suggestion: How about trying to find the excellent Graham Greene novel "The Quiet American."
I have tried to find it on RUclips, but without success. Maybe you are more clever than I am and you can find it.
I just saw a Graham Greene audiobook when I found this one…
Search “audiobooks” on YT. 👍
Someone really needs to get in the shower b
Any Graham Greene would be welcome. Brighton rock, our man in havana, the power and the glory, human factor ...... its a crime he didnt get the nobel prize despite being short-listed many times.
The #1 best tool that helps me sleep are these sleep masks:
amzn.to/3JnPOik
They are padded so no pressure on the eyes, and the mask shape + thick material blocks out all light. (other masks can leak light around the nose)
There's an adjustable strap so it's comfortable and I (Mich) personally take one with me wherever I go.

Brougham (carriage) is pronounced broom.
Thanks for letting us know! Had no idea
Brougham is pronounced more lilke brorm. Broom is close but not quite there.
When encountering a new english word it always helps to look it up in the dictionary as pronunciation and spelling can appear unrelated.

Anyone have the time spots for each story?
I can look into adding them in the future!
@@sleepaudiobooks that would be great!
@@sleepaudiobooks yes please. That way we can start at the next story the following night.

Cannot hear it .
Shouting " Fire " is hardly conducive to sleep .
Can you give me the timestamp? I keep notes on things like this in case I’m reuploading in the future. That way I can lower the volume in the audio file next time
Especially if you’ve had to evacuate like we did during the Tubbs Fire in Santa Rosa California. Many lost their homes and are still psychologically affected.
@@VickiEm3 I'm so sorry to hear about this. Do you happen to have the timestamp for when he yells fire? That way I can lower the volume if i re-upload this in the future
@@sleepaudiobooks 44:23 but it is not much louder than the rest of the audio
@@tdunbar6148 Thanks for the timestamp. If i ever reupload this I will make sure to lower the volume. (I have a spreadsheet where I keep notes like this) Thank you for the help!
Without farther delay?
I grew up near Philly. That's how I naturally pronounce further. But I can fake it if it bothers people
@@sleepaudiobooks Your narration is absolutely wonderful. Im working on a time stamp list for you.
I caught it too.
@@sleepaudiobooks, you do you, but it is noticeable, like a scratch in a record, it plays on and the rest is fine but you do hit that hard spot rather than a smooth flow. I hope this doesn't seem rude because I truly mean that you should do what makes it you, but many if not all will notice.
@@amandastakeonit7402 I've put in effort to change it in more recent videos
;)
Hold on a second. You're taking librivox free material read by volunteers and using that as your channel material?
Yes I am. I edit the chapters together and clean up the audio. I also slow and lower the voices to make them more calming. The audiobooks are in public domain. Librivox volunteers understand that means the audiobooks can be repurposed freely for commercial purposes. And I always link back to the original source (which is not required for public domain content)
Also I hired multiple narrators to create original works as well, and I have made no money from this channel after dedicating about 6 months to building it
@@sleepaudiobooks thanks for explaining
@@sleepaudiobooks : SUBSCRIBING. You sound like a dedicated content provider. I don't usually listen to Librivox audiobooks because they tend to have British books read by Americans and it just doesn't work. Some others are simply untalented readers. I hope you will keep that in mind when selecting content. There is a woman who reads Jane Austen books for them that is good but the speed is too fast. Perhaps you might consider working your magic on those. Thank you for nearly 11 hours of Holmes. I'm a light sleeper & tend listen to audiobooks on & off throughout the night. Ads wake me up so I hope your videos are ad free.
Music
I will absolutely be looking into adding music in the future. Thank you!
@@sleepaudiobooks Some of us, who enjoy the quiet presentation, would prefer not to have music.
No music. Not one note‼️ Just read please 💖

Thank you SleepAudioBooks for the great stories and the heart.
I can't listen to American or Australian accents, so I was going to just ignore this.
I’m glad you gave it a chance!
@Trish Traynor Well it must suck to be you. I personally enjoy all accents as long as I can understand them and more IMPORTANTLY, they have a pleasant speaking voice. In fact, sometimes when I can't quite understand what they are saying do to their accent it adds to the story and I spend the effort to understand that dialect so that I can enjoy the beauty of the human race and how we all have different quirks, mannerisms and customs.
This is an English accent 🧐
@@judikingsman6132 lol, people comment about audio books within the 1st few mins.
Tbf tho, I think @Trish Traynor was saying that she wasn't going to give it a chance, but she did and was glad she did.
Of course only Trish knows what she meant, but that was the impression I got from the comment.
The accent isn't Australian. The narrator is British.
What with the jerky upload
Sorry I don’t understand. What’s wrong with the upload?
