Thank you for posting this nice video. I always enjoy watching Christmas Markets videos and I really appreciate your style of filming and sharing. I like how you show both the sights and vendor stalls at the market and what treats you are enjoying. Looking forward to watching more of your videos this year.
Love your narratives, honest comments and opinions! Also, good choice of music! This video is super helpful for my upcoming trip :) Thank you and Merry Xmas!
Hi Paul, Great, well presented video, thanks. I'm from Salford, but will be going to the Markets. These events are expensive to set, up, hence the prices. There's no pockets in a shroud. Enjoy.
I was there today paul.i go every year snd always spend far too much and always say never again.but i excelled myself today.idecidedto treat myself to some fudge and eventually fiiled up a bg bag and cost me£35 .i did enjoy my day there and watching yr video just now is great
Hi Paul, great video lovely Christmas Market. There is one similar near where I live in Southeast London. I do receive notifications for your channel. Best wishes from Joanne
I was there the same time as you paul. Wish I'd seen you, I'd have given you a wave. 👋 Not only did the stalls look good....the smells were lovely! Happy early Christmas 🎁
Came here last year and spent a fortune on French soaps that lasted ages. I loved the Mulled Wine, too, as it's certainly got a kick to it!! Thanks for showing us around the Manchester Christmas market, Paul.
Hi Paul thanks for showing us around the market. I love Christmas markets so this was right up my street. Thanks for showing us the stalls as well with things for sale. Those sausages you brought were definitely not worth the money! Thanks.
the singer took a while to warm up but i thought he conveyed the spirit of the song brave to sing in public-been watching for a while-enjoying the new varied content-you do get around!
The best way I like to see Christmas markets is via video and then I don’t have to spend anything 😂 But I’m a proper grinch 😉. Great video though and was nice to see my niece’s cake stall on your video. 👍🏻
Hello Paul how are you love your vidio of the Manchester Christmas market very interested and I love the Christmas tunes best wishes take care stay safe from Lynn x ❤😅😅😊
Do love Manny Markets. I was pleasantly surprised though last year by Blackpool’s markets although minuscule in comparison. But better prices for similar products and nowhere near as crammed!
Looking good but I would not pay £9.50 for CurryWurst that is outrageous Lidl sell it for £1.49 when they do an Alpen week so if they charged £6 there is still a very good markup on it. I suppose £6 for the lager isn't too bad in this day and age it's nice to walk around these markets but you certainly have to be selective in what you buy unless of course your wealthy youtuber.
Hi Paul, Wish we had one like that in Bedford. Looks like it's on a flat service. Places like that are always expensive. Looks so good. Thank you Paul.
I love Christmas Markets and was thinking about going down to Manchester or York but I think I'm done with travelling for this year, so maybe next year. We are going to do our usual Edinburgh, easy day trip for us but like Manchester and the rest everything is way over priced.
Ding dong merrily on high! Thanks Paul this has put me in a Christmas mood 🎄 I need a kick start. Wow spoilt for choice for food and drink and lots of lovely gift ideas. 'At least I can taste the Baileys ' 😂 you'd hope to at least get an alcoholic buzz for £10.50! Looked busy and buzzing, pretty good record 26 years . Hope you had a good time, thank you 🎄🧑🎄 x
We go to cologne Christmas markets been going since 2003 and to Berlin few time. I'm Manchester lad but been few time its to Expensive cologne is 50% cheaper
I don’t like it and won’t go. Total rip off. The only thing thst changes is the prices which just go up. Still people are daft enough to pay so can you blame them.
i didnt know manchester had a cathedral . least ive not heard of it having one before nor have i seen it. all the xmas markets are way expensive , leeds is the same very expensive. i dont go to them to be honest. ps love your channel and congratulations to the engagement at dlp.
If you don't like it, don't go..That's the issue though. My kids don't understand why they can't go but some of their wealthier friends can. It's a them problem, don't make it about us.
Seems to me nowadays that the prices are just gonna keep inflating and we the people are normalising it that being said I have been to Manchester Christmas market back in 2016 prices weren't too bad back then
We went today and thought it was the absolute pits. Never again. Ever since the German retailers stopped coming its just got worse and worse. I'd sooner go to York (and I say that as a Mancunian born and bred).
Looks nice, I been to the Birmingham one a few yrs back, back then they only had German stalls, whereas Mancs has got all sorts, I spied a Jamaican stall.. thats where I would head to first lol The Mancs market is soooo much better than Birmingham! Will be nice to visit with me grandkids :) Thanks Paul
How do you make that out as the Birmingham Xmas Market is the biggest and only genuin German Xmas Market out side og Germany and Austria plus a short walk away on St Phillips Cathedral Church yard there is a second English Xmas Market
@@peterwilliamallen1063 Ummm because I watched the video & spotted all the different food stalls!! All Brum has is German food & stuff.. what didnt you understand dude??? I dont gaf whether its the biggest.. its the most BORING!! Mancs offers soooo much more than German food & beer which I dont like!! Point is, as you seem to have gotten it twisted, is I prefer a xmas market with different food stalls not just German.. jezus how hard is it for you to get it huh? I aint bothered about cathedrals or whats bigger its what is on offer & you have quite clearly not got that have you zzzz Read me comment again have a think & come back with an apology or not, IDC.
@@ellem2293 The German Xmas market in Birmingham is not the only market, there is a second part of the Xmas market in St Phillips Cathedral Square Colemore Row a 2 min walk up Colemore Row with English stalls that used to be in Centinary Square and has moved due to all the building work going on arround it, Funny you find it boring yet tourists frtom all over the UK and the World visit the Birmingham Xmas Markets especially the Francfurt Xmas Market
Yes it's back. If you live here you often give it a wide berth..Come 22 Dec we get our city centre back.At the end of the day local traders are paying rent and business rates to the council.Would like to know how much we make from this disruptive binge fest.
@@whoknowswhere Yes I do have the choice, I recall some one buying lose sweets about half a bag full and being charged £11 and the store was a stone throw away from Tesco on market street where one could buy a Cadbury's large tin of Roses for £8 a no brainer. The trinklets and jewelry on display made in China I bet its just tacky rubbish.
Prices are scandalous! Just a cash cow now! I'll avoid like the plague!

I'll be going to Liverpool to the One next month
Love Xmas markets but so expensive
I've been to a few Christmas Markets, York, Chester, Manchester, Paris but I have to admit the best one in my opinion is Leeds! Xx
Thanks for sharing!
I agree and Leeds is great for shopping in general 👍
maybe the rent of area is expensive, cost of staff and electric generators add to it.
Will you be going to any of the Christmas markets in Poland this year?
Maybe not sure yet
Going there next week. Think I need a 2nd mortgage as I've been told food/drink is pricey!
Go abroad
If you don't like it, don't go..That's the issue though. My kids don't understand why they can't go but some of their wealthier friends can. It's a them problem, don't make it about us.
9.50 for currywurst, you can buy exactly the same in B&Ms for less than £2!
Turned notification bell to all
What a great market, you are from Liverpool do they have one as well?
Yes next week
9.50 to me is expensive, maybe the sausages are expensive to make?. is it too early to say MERRY CHRISTMAS yet?
I'm in York over Xmas 😊
Way over priced for what it is.and i understand all the costs the shed holders have.nice vidio.
What time do all the stalls open?
10am
I love one in wickham hampshire please
A great watch.
well said paul.. its once a year .. treat yourself x
Seems to me nowadays that the prices are just gonna keep inflating and we the people are normalising it that being said I have been to Manchester Christmas market back in 2016 prices weren't too bad back then
manchester xmas markets are a complete rip off, avoid at all costs! I Bruges xmas markets for me!! much better experience.. believe me!!
Nice ! But what about the cost of getting there !!?
Definitely not the best, that’s Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market by a mile!
Lovely markets but a tad expensive ok once in a while

It does not feel safe to be in a city these days, it is such a shame to see what our once safe country has become!
I'm not going id rather go to blackpool
Looks great but I am going to moan about those prices. I'd love to go but for me and lots of people its just unafffordable. Such a shame.
Fortunately I live in Thailand and don’t have Christmas out here it’s not the same
Thanks for video👍..I always like the xmasy music you play in these..Prices are a bit steep even for Xmas..Or am I just Scrooge in disguise 🤣
Yes Ebenezer lol
thanks for showing this. may I ask, was there a police presence around?? they mentioned there would be
Police, security and armed police
