my mom had one of these back in college and sold it after one year. I wonder if people back then understood how valuable and special their cars would become. Especially nowadays since cars look like drivable shoes and bars of soap.

You build some of the best cars I've ever seen ! I'm on my way to Sweden to get that black 68 Charger !!Terrific camera work on the most awesome Charger I've seen . And I used to race in the sixties --Mopar mostly . But I have a 56 T-Bird with a 427 Holman-Moody engine in it . Called it The BlunderBird for attention . Ran some good ones !

Now that's music to your ears!! Loved every roarrin minute that beast was runnin. Great job on putting that screamer together. Some good stuff in there. The price of gas must limit how hard and how often you plant your foot into it. You guys pay a lot more than we do.
    Great car!!

idk if you got your answer but the compression is anywheres 11:1 on up and its a big block, on chryslers the distributer is in the front on the big block and in the back on the small blocks.

  • @paburrito
    @paburrito 13 лет назад

@silentsmokey a turbo, supercharger or other things gives you a max of 50 hp, in order to make a powerful engine like this, you have to do a lot of work in the engine block, i don't know, something like forged pistons, change the valves to racing valves, raise the compression ratio and other things that i don't remember, BTW that's you have to do to an engine to make all that power :)

This is a 1969 model. The 1970 R/t s had the side scoops with the R/T emblem on them and the grille is a open wrap around with no center divider.

@chizwizzler yeah the crackshaft drives the superchager but inside that supercharger is a turbine and at the crankshaft spins it it throws air outwards centafugal force more air pressure

@VIPBullseye what your saying is deffinetly true about the supra beating acharger on a road course but when it comes to the drag strip the charger would kill the the supra. no offense its just thats what each car was built for the charger was made for dragging and the supra for racing road courses but if you put some major modifications into that chargers chasis and suspension it can handle allmost nearly as well on the road course as your supra but thats with some major work done on it.

I been listening to muscle car sounds tonight and Finally a video where you can only hear her purr.. some videos add music, some videos people are gabbing.. louder than the car! Come on!
OK MOUTHS...SHUT THE TRAP AND LISTEN TO THE FINE ART OF MUSCLE CAR POWER. IT WAS HARD TO LISTEN to WHEN I HEARD JAWS FLAPPING, CLAPPING(B4 the end & not after)HMMM..ALRIGHTY THAN?!? Hear thumping of bass!
Sorry, but I became annoyed! Since I'm unable to go to the event and watch others don't even take time to watch & LISTEN n get pumped up! I know I do!
Yeah yeah I'm just as excited but please talk, clap and thump AFTER THE MUSCLE CAR IS DONE MAKING THEIR SOUND. if that's hard to do than next time just stay home and knit. and this is one of my favorite, She sounds purrfect!

The first try, were you keeping it going that long because you have to or was it a mistake? because that can flood the engine.

@REDsnip3r um gtrs already come with twin turbos do they not? and to get a NEW gtr to 800hp its actually very complicated cause of the engine management system. older gtrs are definitely more tuner friendly

@ARMONI555 psst just mess with the engine management/ turbo boost and add a cool air intake to a 2010 gtr. you can get 800hp+ pretty easily and have a car thats good for more than just straight lines like that charger. Though I would rather have a Veyron.

im afraid ill have to disagree there. in example, i cite the 1967 chevy z28, with its DZ302 with an 8000rpm redline, that were shifted around 7000-7500rpm at the drags. NASCAR engines also would fly in the face of the idea that their peak hp was around 4500rpm. My uncle also drag raced a 500ci bowtie block in a 1969 camaro that buzzed to 7000rpm and put down 1050hp, all motor.

so why is it.. whenever i see big chargers.. or any classic car with a big engine.. it takes forever to them to start the car up?.. like with one crank.. on.. that never happens..

I own a Supra, and a few of my friends own RX-7's (Series 3, 5, and 6) And though you can make them sound nice, they will never sound as nice as a beefed up old school V8. The V8 just has such a "Don't fuck with me" presence in the exhaust.
