The future of elections and Australian democracy with Clare O’Neil and Tom Rogers

- On 25 June 2024, the ANU National Security College (NSC) - in partnership with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) and the International Institute of Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) - hosted a public conversation to explore the future of elections in Australia, and democracy more broadly.
The Hon Clare O'Neil MP, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Cyber Security, delivered a keynote address highlighting some of the challenges facing Australian democracy, following opening remarks from Australian Electoral Commissioner, Tom Rogers.
A panel discussion followed, focused on the future of elections and how public trust in the integrity of our electoral systems can be strengthened, featuring:
