Mac has been amazing for Liverpool in that 8 role. Didn't realise he was so good.

Its easy to see why last year was the best ever season for Brighton when you see how much Liverpool rely on Mac Alliser now.

I think people are losing their heads a little bit over de zerbi. I think his comments have just been honest, he's said he doesn't know his future which is just the truth, his contract has 2 years - the truth, and him not wanting to extend it right now isn't evidence of him wanting to leave now. He came in and did an unbelievable job, if he goes he goes - there's no need for bad feeling he's not left us mid season taking all our staff.. the talk of napoli i think was meant more as a reassurance that he doesn't have his eye on a move - only napoli could make him think. I've got no problem with it. If a proper big club, especially one like Liverpool we all accept would also make him think. It's all media drama for me.. the stuff he says is often provoked by a leading question and his english (while good) doesn't yet have the nuance to express what he means.
The bias you guys have for verbruggen is bizarre by the way.. any steele performance that isn't 100% you pick up on, any verbruggen mistakes you ignore. He made a decent save but also kicked the ball out at least twice and conceeded.. they're both good keepers stop the obsessive banging on about them ffs..
And.. we'll get Europe in some form.. 💪

Just listening to talksport and they saying unlikely to go to Liverpool and de zerbi has "changed his tune" then proceed to play a clip from today that a day earlier they would be painting to suit their narrative in the opposite direction.. people need to stop buying into the bullshit the media peddle and also need to learn to not be so clingy and hot and cold when it comes to their club.. people look for stuff that isn't there, fill in the gaps themselves then get all worked up about nothing. Damning the manager/player that they've previously been singing the praises of..

Couldn't have said it better. People say de zerbi is 100% leaving no matter what happens, then when he's honest and says the obvious, that he doesn't know, and why, they criticize him for it.
Also, verbruggen isn't that much better than steele. Steele has made slightly more mistakes. It's not what costs us games. I don't get the complete 180 on steele this season. In what universe is he shit?

@@Eanakba I think people need to thicken their skin a bit, too drawn in by the drama the media and fans bollocking on at each other stirs up. Graham had a point with the history lesson..shouldn't have said it like he did but it's true, plenty of people already entitled. We've gone from this morning everyone slating him because he's definitely leaving to him talking glowingly at the press conference and a British record on profits that's going to be surpassed next year with just 2 sales.. we're in such an unbelievable place everyone needs to see it. On the keepers I think they are both at the level they need to be and the switches have been regular and not based on some kind of performance or punishment some people seem to think they are. They both bring similar things, obviously verbruggen is here for the future and possibly this new very rated keeper we're supposedly signing is due to fit into steeles role at some point.. all the verbruggen riders will be raging that this new guy is the one they want of course and start slating the shit out of bart...

RDZ currently is one of the most exciting managers and he has an exit clause and multiple top clubs are looking for a manager like him, so of course he will be asked about his future. He can either acknowledge the uncertainty or lie.

Agreed with how damaging RDZ's cryptic comments can be in press conferences. The comment he made about having to check with the Owner about the club's direction before deciding his future at the club sounded strange.

yeah, pretty weird since he was the one that insisted the rotation policy that slowly costed our form

Rdz ego got the better of him following the liverpool managerial speculation. Funny thing is liverpool aren't actually after him.

If the mistake didn’t happen it would be 1-1 but if salah who had 11 chances on goal put his shooting boots on he could easily have had 4. Make sense lads how would a draw have been a fair result. Salah new record 11 shots against a team. More than your whole team.

Pressure more on Brentford to win Wednesday but that should suit Albion 🔵 need to contain Bees front 3 - their Kildareman Collins 🇮🇪 can be got at - hope RDZ doesn't tweak the 11 too much - a win + clean sheet please 🔵🇮🇪 UTA

Expectations have risen so much that Brighton have lost the support that people like them so much because they are a mediocre team with admirable fighting spirit.
    Don't forget they were playing a club that got League Titles in 1900-01, 1905-06, 1921-22, 1922-23, 1946-47, 1963-64, 1965-66, 1972-73, 1975-76, 1976-77, 1978-79, 1979-80, 1981-82, 1982-83, 1983-84, 1985-86, 1987-88, 1989-90, 2019-20, European Cups 1976-77, 1977-78, 1980-81, 1983-84, 2004-05, FIFA Club World Cup in 2018-19, FA Cups 1964-65, 1973-74, 1985-86, 1988-89, 1991-92, 2000-01, 2005-06, 2021-22, League Cups 1980-81, 1981-82, 1982-83, 1983-84, 1994-95, 2000-01, 2002-03, 2011-12, 2021-22, 2023-24.
    And lost 2:1 at Anfield!!
Brighton haven't won anything other than a couple of league 3 and 4 championships!!
    Jeez! What do you expect!

Outcome bias is all I hear when you talk about the substitutions.
When Lallana comes on and plays well, you say he needs to come on sooner. When Barco comes on and doesnt play well, you say he shouldnt have come on.
Ex-post everyone can say what worked and what didnt, but managers must decide ex-ante. They have more information than the fans, but a player's performance depens on a million factors. Hence, the manager only makes an educated guess.
If Fati had come on and played badly, you would have complained about his sub. Fati didnt come on, so you complain about the lack of substitution.
    It is a cognitive error.
