First of all, I'm a big fun and I love all your creations! Very useful this tutorial. Thank you for sharing! I love working with copper, but I used only wire wrapping technique till now. I know to solder silver, but for copper is more difficult, indeed, due to the melting point, which is higher. Your tutorial encouraged me to try. Thank you again!
Great tips, thank you.. May I offer a little bit of advice, the hottest part of the flame is the very tip of the blue flame, to close and you can loose heat, to far away and you have uncontrollable heat.....the tip is perfect...hope you don’t mind me saying this... Love your work xx
Wonderful tutorial! Please ALWAYS wear eye protection when cutting metal - else it can lodge in your eyes. So much to know about different metals. I love copper so glad to see this demo, many thanks!
Maybe the butane torch Im using simply isn't producing enough heat but I've tried this method to melt some copper on the tips of a copper bracelet I made and it would not melt no matter how long I held it over the two metals. Do I need to get a solder paste too to bind it with the copper? Thanks for any info ya'll!
Great video thank you!! So the copper gets a rainbow color from the heat and the citric acid removes it? How much water do you put in the citric acid does it not matter? Appreciated :)
@@MD-lj9jg I have accidentally, while getting a small thin piece to hot. If u do it you will probably ruin charcoal block as well. I kept my block in a tin box so if I over heat it like this I put the lid on to snuff it out or it might burn up to catch fire when u think its out.
Thank you! Great video! I have some of that copper solder that I purchased from you on Etsy - and it is very hard to cut small pieces off, but I definitely prefer it to the paste.
Как все волшебно затекает в нужные места😍. Вы чудесный мастер, спасибо что делетесь своим опытом, это очень ценно. А твердый припой это медно-фосфорный? Флюс не нужен?
I'm not that advanced yet but these tutorials are so fascinating to watch!
Thank you! :)

4:18 what is the stick called ?
Where can I buy the copper solder the one that is the color of copper when you heat it up? Please let me know it’s greatly appreciated!
You can buy it in my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/listing/702950865/thin-copper-wire-solder-18ga-square?ref=shop_home_active_2&crt=1
I noticed you didn’t use any flux with the copper solder. Is it not necessary? Your fuel is butane?
Thank you!
Yes, the flux is not necessary for these kinds of solder. The mix of butane and propane.
А на русском или украинском языке у вас есть канал?
Thank you. I've been taking a silversmithing class but silver is so expensive. I want to learn to use copper so I can practice with something cheaper.
Oh, I understand you.
@@OksanaTrukhan I'm glad. Your videos and blogs are really good.
I think you explain some of this better than my silversmithing teacher.

Thanks for the tips! I am repairing a bracelet. Glad to see there are a couple of options to go about it with.
do we need the paste when using the Felder94?
no need
Do you know if it is possible to use copper solder for “sweat” soldering?
I use a propane torch from Wal-Mart. There around $13 u.s.. I need a set up like yours❤ love your videos!!! U share the very important details!
Thank you! :) I'm happy to hear that.
Can you melt small scraps of copper with a propane torch?

@@mistydawn2717 Thank you for the sharing. So for this case, I will use a small crucible.

Температура лимонной кислоты не имеет значения для отъела))
Very informative! Thank you!!

Alan P welcome! many thanks for positive feedback!

Thank you!
شكرا جزيلا
Very useful!! Wire jewelry artist here, been craving the next step in the journey! Thank you for sharing your process
Thank you!
Оксана, а как вы удаляете светлые "кляксы" , остающиеся от твердого припоя харрис?
Я використовую надфіль, наждачку і гумові насадки для гравера. Але найголовніше - брати небагато припою для пайки.
Nicely done! Looking forward for some new videos!
Many thanks for your support!
