V saves the day against pickpockets! 👊 Just dropping a line to say sharing what happens helps others avoid similar tactics and I completely sympathize with expecting the worst. Maybe it has to do with previous experience (like when V shared about being followed years ago; Aimee Song also shared a scary Paris Uber incident a few years ago)... same has happened to me: pickpocketted in Vegas, another clearly casing my friends and I on a metro platform in Paris, getting grabbed on the subway in Tokyo (I stuck my finger in the guy's face and called him out in front of everyone), an attempted purse-snatching on Tower Bridge... it definitely puts you on your guard. 🤺 I hate to say it probably comes with the territory when you travel a lot because I think we're all ready for the world to open up again, but best to also be alert. Love the vid as always, and congrats on the continued growth! 👏

However, I then realized that some of the things that made your eyes light up, I would never want to wear, so maybe it is much less about the item of clothing as it is the relationship you have with yourself. Have you ever experienced this sort of anxiety? How have you gotten past the vulnerability that choosing clothing can reveal and allowed yourself to be confident in so many situations? Many years ago when I was there there was a young person (and a woman with a baby) physically managed to distract and physically separate the person who I was walking with and was tugging at my purse. When I got back to the hotel, the desk clerk said that tactic was quite common . Anyway you are both quite the team and Victoria your outfits are all so gorgeous on you!
Really appreciated the raw conversation about self acceptance and body image. It's so relatable and I Just love that you share the positives but also are real about your own struggles. Knowing that most women go through these internal struggles despite size/shape makes it almost feel less lonely - even though it's a shame we even have to feel that way still. Hopefully the next generation we can make change for women to come through more confident x

I had a terrifying experience in Paris last time. We were at this church up high on a hill and were walking through the garden section back down the hill on the stairs. At the time I had bright pink hair and these two men started yelling "hey lady gaga! Lady gaga!" We tried ignoring them but they kind of cornered my husband and started arguing with him. One of them broke away from the argument and was pushing me away from my husband and the other guy and was grabbing my hand and pulling my arm towards him. I looked down and he had this small rope with a loop on the end of it that he was trying to put onto my wrist!!! I took my umbrella and WALLOPED him on the side of his head and yanked my arm away. That's when my husband noticed what was happening and he came running over and we left quickly. Husband said it's a scam where they put the rope on your wrist and then demand you pay them to take it off. It felt really sinister and scary though. I needed a double scoop of ice cream after to calm down and let the anxiety pass. Paris is so beautiful but its definitely one of the cities in Europe that I don't feel so safe in now.

The tofu you describe sounds like silken tofu. It’s very different to firm tofu and is soft and “jelly-like”. Not usually used in curries!

At the time I had bright pink hair and these two men started yelling "hey lady gaga! Lady gaga!" We tried ignoring them but they kind of cornered my husband and started arguing with him. One of them broke away from the argument and was pushing me away from my husband and the other guy and was grabbing my hand and pulling my arm towards him. I looked down and he had this small rope with a loop on the end of it that he was trying to put onto my wrist!!! I took my umbrella and WALLOPED him on the side of his head and yanked my arm away. That's when my husband noticed what was happening and he came running over and we left quickly. Husband said it's a scam where they put the rope on your wrist and then demand you pay them to take it off. It felt really sinister and scary though. I needed a double scoop of ice cream after to calm down and let the anxiety pass. Paris is so beautiful but its definitely one of the cities in Europe that I don't feel so safe in now.
