I find it very symbolic of her falling out of love and heartbreak with the emperor in this scene where she wakes up from fainting. When the emperor told her she was pregnant, the first person she looked to was Rongpei for confirmation, and then the physician for an explanation. Even in between the emperors interjection, she doesn’t interact with the emperor much before turning to the physician again. It’s a subtle detail, but really telling of how she’s beginning to feel about Hongli.
That was a great observation.

Another thing yo also see is how she counted on and really trusted Rongpei that she even fell into her arms In all actuality ruyi treated her differnt then other it was like rongpei was a sister she never had she treated Rongpei so well ❤🥰 I say it be pretty hard to find someone you trust
I hate how the emperor has no accountability! He constantly invalidates his Womens feelings and uses emotional manipulation by saying “don’t be upset or the child your carrying will be unhappy and suffer to”. Instead of recognizing that his actions hurt her feelings and by his own logic; he harmed the child to by making the mother suffer being compromised!!!! He never accepts his part!!!
He always misinterprets her concern and kindness to him.
Ruyi has a strong personality that speaks her mind always specially with the emperor.Ruyi is kind and loving person, always concern and loved by people around her.
Sadly, he was a very paranoid individual.

the sad thing is thats what he loved about her in the beginning and then it changed because he wanted to controlled everything.
@@yadulamchanegurung8323 you hit the nail on the head! He wanted control over everything as his reign progressed, his ego grew much greater and his paranoia increased over time. All these things led to his own self-deserved unhappiness, guilt and regret.
@@personn4902 I agree with you as well, its amusing to see on later episodes that instead of blaming himself for all things that happens to him, he intentionally chooses to either blame ruyi or someone else for it. He was so blinded by greed that he never hesitated to get whatever he wants even when it hurts so many people and in the end even himself.
