Excellent video of your Crossfire. You covered outside, inside and engine while clearly explaining the who, what and where. You also paid homage to those that helped or guided you. The joke about the stickers adding 10 hp put a smile on my face. You seem like a cool cat in the Sunshine State. Peace!
Needswings is about to update their intake manifolds. To include a crossover pipe between the two manifold, which allows for maintaining boost in both sides, simultaneously. Versus, each manifold emptying all its pressure into the pistons which each stroke. Helps the supercharger maintain airflow, without increasing PSI or RPM of the screws.
I enjoyed the video man. Youve helped me narrow down a couple future cars. With the mods, is it fun? Is it something worth buying? They're becoming withing financial reach now for me.
Thanks Dude! And honestly, the manifolds didn't really increase the whine very much. The DCAI and the smaller pulley REALLY did the trick for increasing the supercharger whine
Howdy from San Diego....So I have a C32 AMG as well as a 99k miles, C55 with a Renntech supercharger/brembo's, monolites, the C55 is my long term project, it's not running. Has ignition/key issues I have to sort out..but I was wondering if you could give me some pointers on my C32....right now it's bone stock except for about 200lbs in weight shedding. I'm starting with a 61mm pully w/tune. My first question is this..would recommend gutting out my Cats and spacing my 02's to trick them ? what would you do after the pully and tune? or is there a better pully size and tune you'd recommend.
Sorry for never seeing this comment.. for an NA build i'd do the intakes and delete the cats with a Eurocharged ECU tune! That should 30 more hp and give a deeper sound
We've talked befoer about how differenet (bad) my exhaust sounds. I was talking with Woody last night, Waldig on the forums. He has a similar setup to you, always the best with Woody, since he builds it all himself. He has a muffler delete instead of resonator delete but everything else is the same. And he gets the crackles and deeper tone in his exhaust, like you. So, everything about the exhaust being eliminated, the sound difference between mine and yours (or Woody's) either comes from your 55 AMG fuel pump/injectors, or the 185mm crank Pulley. The only thing that makes sense to me in terms of changing exhaust noise, is the crank pulley. Mine is the 65mm supercharger pulley.
The Thomas when I went to the 185mm pulley and the fuel mods and a retune the exhaust tone deepened dramatically. The resonator delete really did the trick
Hi! Great car bro.. so my car engine is unsupercharger 2006 and I'm planning to get a supercharger and Install it in the car. will that work ?or the supercharger engine is different than the un- supercharger engine
Thank you very much! There are a few more differences than just the supercharger unfortunately! There is some fuel, cooling, tuning, and reinforced internals. It would probably be cheaper in the long run to just motor swap or get an SRT6, i hate to to say that but from what i've seen and experienced over the years that's the most cost effective route.. if you really want to do it right put in the 55 or 55amg motor... the engines are cheap..
Im thinking about getting srt6 that has 100k miles. Is there anything i need to check before buying. Common replacement parts around 100k. Thank you so much. Your srt is awesome
Garett Spor thanks man I'm glad you like it! And the things I'd look for would be for a failing IC pump . You can verify this by test driving the car for about 20 min and then drive it a bit quickly and make sure the supercharger still engages. The IC pump is most common failure and it's about a 140 dollar part. Check for valve covers leaking oil, also check the motor mounts. Test the mounts by opening hood and someone being outside looking at motor and the another person in the car. The person in car needs to put the car in drive and put foot on brake and rev motor to about 1500 rpm, make sure the motor is not moving around. Besides that this car is a tank and is bulletproof. Mine has 110,000 miles and they all have been spirited miles lol. I'm always available to help and answer questions. Join crossfirefourms online and srt6.com also on Facebook I'm coadmin of the srt6 page and the crossfiremarket page. There are tons of people who help !
You can visit the crossfire forums (dotcom) for an excessive amount of info, to include a whole "what to look for when buying" walkthrough. I'd say If it runs and drives, you're good. Everything to do with the drivetrain is bulletproof. The mercedes rubber suspension parts tend to go after 10 years, so those and the steering damper (20 bucks) will need to be replaced 9/10 times for best results. The key will turn weird unless somone has fixed it, fix is DIY project. Heated seats tend to go out. The weakest thing is probably the SKREEM. A hub of computer and electricity bits. That may go anytime, but if it runs and drives, you're good until one day those SKREEM solders may need to be redone.
The more original this car is, the better. Most changes won't produce significant improvements. Unless you add NOS and better rear tires, you won't affect drag times by more then a few tenths with 10,000 dollars worth of mods. So, look for an unharassed car.
Frank Miller exhaust work with the retune for sure added some torque in my opinion ! I felt it immediatly after installing the downpipes, the resonator delete just deepened the sound.

I just bought one I'm restoring appreciate the explaination of mods and numbers

How many miles when you bought it and how many miles on it now? any issues past basic maintenance stuff? Im looking at buying one under 70k miles
I enjoyed the video man. Youve helped me narrow down a couple future cars. With the mods, is it fun? Is it something worth buying? They're becoming withing financial reach now for me.
Are you the one I see on Garcon bridge in the morning? I have a crossfire same color.
Car is dope and fast. Blessings bro!
armonia numerica thanks so much ! And you blessing back to you too !
I’m going to have one like this someday but I’m going to black it out with some Forgez on the wheels
Nice Car! Great Mods. How much did the intake manifolds and intake increase your supercharger whine from stock?
Thanks Dude! And honestly, the manifolds didn't really increase the whine very much. The DCAI and the smaller pulley REALLY did the trick for increasing the supercharger whine
Please my crossfire is the normal v6 and I want to modify to supercharger please can you tell my which items needs ?? Thanks

Did you put a 61 mm pulley on it? I'm guessing you did fuel mods as well?
Is the srt6 reliable?
Thanks I appreciate that I'll hit you back when I get mine done
Frank Miller For sure. Make sure to sign up at srt6.com to get tons of info! I'm taking over the website next week!
What kind of secondary injection pump do you have?
badass crossfire bro. i have a 2004 na and can not wait to start builing it. anything youv seen through your days as an owner on what to start with
Sorry for never seeing this comment.. for an NA build i'd do the intakes and delete the cats with a Eurocharged ECU tune! That should 30 more hp and give a deeper sound
Ok I have a 65mm dual Cai and tune ran a 8.2 with a 1.87 60ft on stock tires Everytime out you think the exhaust will help
Frank Miller For sure ! I know I gained some low end tq with the catless downpipes and after the retune.
U lowered ??
How hard do you think it would be to strap that supercharger to a 3.6 Pentastar???

where did you get your tires from
Thanks, man.

Nice job Mark
thank you Paul!
Wow...
Hey whats up man, i have crossfire a well and im trying to make it faster but i dont know where to start ..any advise ?
Josue Acosta srt6 or NA?
What a hop
what did you do to the pulley next to the supercharger pulley?
Leonardo Ortiz-Miranda the Pulley Saver kit eliminates the Pulley
Hey how much do the exhaust help
Frank Miller exhaust work with the retune for sure added some torque in my opinion ! I felt it immediatly after installing the downpipes, the resonator delete just deepened the sound.
Tengo un srt6 en Guatemala pero aquí no venden nada para poder arreglarlo
Don't think I make the power you made though
