I want to be hopeful, but historically I have found Ultimate Games to be great at advertising their product, and struggle to deliver. Hope I'm wrong

@ripperrex7883 they are a very small company, what else are they supposed to do? Not everyone has expansive worlds level of funding
Please see the difference between Publisher and Developer. I was and still am part of Ultimate FIshing series, especially the 1st one, and hunting is purely 100% my project.
@ripperrex7883 Yes we use some 3rd party models from GIM Studios and from other companies (we always said that) - but its not even half of the animals we have in the game. It's easy to acuse someone without knowing details. Right? Beside animals all equipment and other 2D/3D parts of "game" are made by us.
Ps. Our team is only 3 to 5 people, depends from our duties in daily jobs
One thing I will say is I appreciate how in-depth the species list is. One of my biggest gripes with COTW is how they just label moose, moose and every moose on every map looks the same, while moose in the "PNW", Yukon (Alaska), New England, Russia are all completely different species of different sizes with different antlers. They did the same with mule deer, bighorn sheep, black tail deer ect… wish COTW would add that bit of detail but that’s probably asking for too much.
Same with red fox. American red fox are a different species from European ones. They also look totally different, have different fur lengths and different colour patterns. Even red foxes in Yukon vs New England will look very different. Would be great to see better diversity within species in COTW depending on what map you're on.

Absolutely agree, wish diamond racks were map specific. Like a diamond red deer rack on cuatro is different from Te or Hirsh, would be super cool way to identify what map trophy’s came off.
One thing im hoping is that this game will have character leveling kinda like theHunter classic or cotw (idk if cotw has something like that). It would be really neat to be forced to go hunt a certain animal for a while in order to learn what that animal looks like and what not so you can actually get better spotting estimations, and better tracking animations
I am very excited to be hunting hippos I was hoping they would add them to the hunter call the wild but this game makes him look just amazing
Thank you for showcasing! I’m absolutely excited for this game! Hippos!?! Elephants!?! Jesus… I’ve been begging Cotw to do this type of map with 100% new species but they aren’t going to make an Africa 2 with BiG game. Love how baboon is an option thank god. I’m super excited for this game

I could not be more hyped. I particularly love that it has random spawns.

a big part of this will be resource management (in terms of the PC)... the more things you add, the more it will put a tole on the player's system and can make the playing experience bad, even if the game is good
Can live with one kidney.
Given the market we're in today, where hardware has pushed beyond software use, I'm hopeful that we'll have a developer who's not afraid to push the envelope. Long gone are the days of Crysis where you had to wait for the hardware to catch up to the software demands.
If this game gives me good ballistics, I can look passed bad graphics/whacky animations. But if you make the shot placement and ballistics true to life, TAKE MY MONEH.
Every hunting game needs the BIG 5 ....LION,BUFFALO, LEOPARD, ELEPHANT & RHINO ...it will make the player appreciate their majestic beauty

I sincerely hope that this isn't a case of way too much work for the devs to feasibly do before launch. There is a LOT that I could see going wrong that I hope gets avoided. Excited but weary

Haven't dropped a dime in COTW or WOTH since this was announced. We should be able to digitally hunt elephants and any other animal....

I love that they have the savage model rifles in the game. Hopefully, they'll have a good selection on which one you choose in what caliber, along with the heavy hitting rifles like the 416 Rigby, 375 ruger, 600 nitro and im pretty sure theres more good heavy hitting hunting rifle calibers that they might add in game. And of course not only the savage model rifles but other rifle brands that they'll might add in.
I like the scoping in here better then hunter or way of the hunter its more realistic, you any real hunter knows not to shove their face up against a scope.
Definitely will keep watching as this game expands in it's marketing and media. Excited for what it could be, skeptical about how it will turn out.

I already can barley play All the maps on CoTW and way of the Hunter (I’m new to it in general and bought every dlc so it’s all still new to me ) but I’ll buy it for the small game species alone

I just wish that they would have added a lot more antelope and gazelle to Africa.
Take a look at Ultimate Fishing 2. It's been in development since August 2022 which is odd since Ultimate Games state on steam that early access would last roughly six months and it's coming up on two years now and the game is still mediocre at best given the extensive development time. But we shall see I guess.
Un popular opinion WAY of the hunter had a ton of hype just to be a massive let down so I don't think I'm gonna like this game
The most important for me is to have many fur variations, rack variations and trophy lodge with release of the game. ❤And challenging gameplay.
Why are they calling a lot of species Californian this or that? Its just mule deer or black bears or racoons whether they are “ Californian” or not just seems dumb
They're making a concerted effort to include distinct subspecies in case the same species or genus may be included in another map.
California has a mountain range separating it and the species that live there. Sub-species......look it up. There are differences bigot.
I've been following this game ever since they first announced they are working on it. I think it has great potential to be one if not the best hunting game out there. I just hope what they promise will be what they deliver at launch
Didn't see a .375 but I'll take a .416 along for most hunts.

I’m very excited for this game, but some of the clips shown for their trailer put me on edge.
I'm hopeful, but I am expecting the worst and hoping for the best.
I hope cotw does another Africa map. I want hippos, elephants and greater kudu
I'm not sure whether to be excited or worried. They are promising and advertising so much, that it seems impossible to deliver, but the closer we get the more it seems that they might. And of they do this could be the greatest hunting game yet.

this game has so much potential hopefully it goes through differently would be nice to have more than just COTW. WOTH and classic to play for hunting games.

Man these videos are wildly optimistic, the graphics look worse than hunting games from 10 years ago and animations are clunky at best
The graphics are far superior to that of even COTW. What may be throwing you off is the art style, which, I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of at first. Grew on me over time.
UH even has fully modelled and detailed locusts. I don't know of any hunting game that's had that. Not even RDR2 went that far.

That's what I thought, but different dev and publisher. As far as I can tell this is the dev team's first game and the only thing I think the publisher is know for is ultimate fishing simulator

I'm just saying 470 nitro is good for buffalo in cotw but 700 nitro was built to drop elephant I mean it's literally a 1,000 grain bullet it would literally drop anything I bet in Jurassic Park 2 I bet the person who was holding the 700 nitro that got his bullets taken out of the shells it would have dropped at T-Rex right then and there no joke

I believe there are only going to be temporary waterholes after it rains, as the game has a dynamic weather system.

They're planning to initially release on pc somewhere in 2025 (prob 3rd/4th quarter), with playstation, xbox and switch planned at a later datef

Hey man, great video. But minor thing… please don’t call them silencers. Because it take a special set up to make a weapon anywhere close to silent! So if you could call them suppressors, just to not continue a misconception.
Silencer is literally what they are called on the original patent
