It should be noted in the description and also pointed out by the instructors that this is the american style rumba as international rumba has different timing, steps and technique. Chances are if you live outside the US you'll be taught international rumba, it could get confusing for someone new to Latin dance if they are taught international and then watch this
Lovely Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you researched - Miyyan Wenacob Bulldozer (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is an awesome exclusive product for learning the rumba and other popular ballroom dances minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my m8 finally got excellent results with it.
Thank you for explaining this beautiful dance simply! I teach a Let Your Yoga Dance class for seniors, many with walkers, and we LOVE to rumba. We have re-named walkers "dance machines". You have greatly added to our joy of dance!!!
I learned to Rumba when I was about 15 years old, My sisters girl friend taught me, she did most of the work, We did the box step but she did a lot of dancing around me also lots of hip movement.
This would be helpful to me if you dance with your backs to the camera. Otherwise, there is right left confusion. I used to teach aerobics classes, and me turning around, so my students could follow me exactly without making the translation of, their right is my left. Please consider re-recording this video as I suggested! Your students will thank you!
Addendum: Or you could demonstrate sideways! That works also! I see another pair of instructors doing just this! So I will learn better from them. Otherwise, your video is very well done! Thanks for listening ... and ... KEEP DANCING!
No doubt you both are very smooth BUT you should be "mirroring" your movements to the audience. By that I mean, your right would be your audiences left. By that explaining the movements without indicating right-left UNLESS you are mirroring your movements. Traditional dance instructors do this.
Appreciate Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Miyyan Wenacob Bulldozer (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a good one off guide for learning the rumba and other popular ballroom dances minus the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my good mate called Gray after many years got cool results with it.

Interesting way of putting it.
@@MrChrisdube especially considering a waltz is in 3/4

Ima be pulling out all the rizz with these moves
I love this dance ❤💃
This has helped me review and remember my rumba step!
K, I followed along no problem until you said to hold hands at chin height. I have a couple of chins, which one do I use?
Very Insightful and well done!!
I love this dance 💃🏻
I just started taking dance classes. Your tutorials are so helpful. You both are great!
THANKS FOR SHARING
life changers i tell you... life changers
Nice and easy too follow.
Me gusta mas como para un carnaval o para bailar rumba 😅
For women, we do all the beginning instructions backwards?
Essentially, yes. Since the men go forward, then backward, the women, by definition, have to backward, then forward.
Is there a mirrored version of this somewhere? The Left/Right part is really messing me up.
I appreciate this video but I wish, while you continued to do the footwork, you would have kept the full body view. Thank you.
Someone please, what's the title of the song in the beginning and at the end?
Another angle would be appreciated.
I watched this because I am going to the finals I do dance lessons in Florida
Pedro Matias good luck!
I understand now. The difference between Rumba and Waltz is the difference between enchilada sauce and marinara, respectively.
Back towards the camera guys !!
Yeah. Or a spicy fast waltz.

It would be more helpful if you can show steps with your back to the camera.
The music seems more Brazilian then... Cuban .
bruh i have to do this as a dance assignment in class like did i ask bruh pray for me pls
Thanks!!!!
So the dance is Rumba, but the music is Samba?
What was the music that you used?

Woww
Moved too quickly off the step sequence, which would have been easier to follow if had been shown from the rear.
name of the song pls
I Don't Know Who Taught This Person, But He Starts With The Arthurer Murry Step, And Continues The Rest Of The Dance With The Fred Astire Syllibus.
Why his neck longer than my attention span
This man is meant to dance
Comment for algo.
Seems like if we learn one Latin dance we can dance all the Latin dances.
I hope that's the case.

Should really say that the Rumba originated within the Afro-Cuban slave community.

It is ugly yuck
that is wrong. the SLOW starts on 4th , not 1st beat !!!
Nejc Panič Nope, thats just in Cha Cha, Rumba is on the 1st :)

Ya'll have never published any helpful video, so just be thankful and appreciate someone's helpful action...
