The Desperation move wins again, Todd falling for Devon's tiring tactics after round 1, if Devon was any more side on he would be facing the same direction as Todd...
Now that's how the King's move should be, armpit stays above the table. I think Todd won that first round, but either way Devon would have come out on top.
i agree that Todd won first round. And that is unfair. Because Todd used a lot of energy in that round when he shouldnt. American armwrestling is a joke.

MT pulls his elbow off the back of the pad and anchors the inside of his arm on the back edge of the table then turns his arm open/out. With his elbow fused at a 35-40 degree angle he can't be beat in a best of 5. If the wal would go to a world standard of 7×7 elbow pad or8×8 is fair but 7×9 us unfair its cheating.1guy can run to anchor his arm off the back of the table and the opponent doesn't have the extra pad space to drive in & over to counter.the WAL Is a side show and get no respect from the real leagues & pullers around the world
I was waiting forever for this match and it did not disappoint! I was surprised to see Devon use the King's move. Then I remembered that he kept defending the King's move when Todd used it against him, so I guess it makes sense he would utilize the same strategy. Also, don't forget to notice them both power up at the 3:20 mark in the video.
The way Devon uses the Kings move is completely different to how Todd uses it. Todd just sits in the kings move and occasionally presses when he thinks he has an advantage whereas Devon uses it as a transitioning move to gain hand control and turn defence into attack. Yeah got to love the power ups.
@@YusufIslam1 if you look by the second camera angle it was not at the level of pad and if it was on pad level it will definitely a pin, thats refs poor judgement TODD had all respect
Shoulders above the elbow should be implemented for any type of defensive move when you are in a losing position.... Otherwise it should be called a foul. I don’t watch arm wrestling, I watch Devon Larratt and he’s unbelievable. How he can take everyone’s best pulls without burning out his arm is just absurd. He then goes on to wear down his opponents until they can’t keep going yet he remains fresh and strong. It’s a sight to behold. He just wears out everyone who faces him.
No chance against Dennis Cyplenkov ☝️ he comeback and in this year we will see, The Legend return, but now he have 60% of power from 2017 year, there is no person who could beat him from 2010-2018 years Dennis Cyplenkov was Prime
@@jonathanhauhnar4468 Many armwrestlers have a kings move. We must not believe that it is cheating, nothing prevents the opponent to do the same. Getting to master this technique is not simple and it's very risky. Yes thanks to kings move Larratt wins the first 2 rounds, it's all to his credit.
1st round 4:44, you can clearly see part of Devon's hand below the plane. Being that the camera is above the plane slightly, this has to be a pin. Remove Todd burning himself out for 30 seconds after that and Devon being allowed to start the second round with his right shoulder practically in the middle of the table and I think you have a different outcome overall.
@Rob K. Todd is an absolute machine and one of the very best in the WAL if not the whole of north america, but in no way does he have more table IQ then devon, love or hate Larratt he is unarguably the most technically minded arm wrestler in the super heavyweights and possibly the whole league.
Rob K. Devon is the the more versatile and better arm wrestler, the king’s move is a perfectly fine move , it could be abused (IE michael todd) , but devon didn’t cheat , his elbow was still on the pad , also , obviously you’re triggered that devon embarrassed todd and flashed him in the third , but it’s funny how you make fun of devon using it , but forgot that todd attempted to use it against mike salearis but mike destroyed him , did todd run like a little scared girl then? Because he did do the king’s move, I’m guessing you didn’t know that Ps , he made devon desperate? Yeah so desperate devon flashed him the third , that’s desperate alright , also devon beat todd after a month of not really training , and just traveling around the world pulling hundreds of people before the match , so devon had sup bar training and sore arms and still beat todd , so i think todd better never get on the table with devon not the other way around
@Rob K. You are the very definition of an arm wrestling fanboy tool. lol Guess we follow the trend and hate on a technique that has been used for years.

Not at all. I totally hate the King's move, but until and if the rules are changed you do what you have to as long as it's legal. I think the move should be baned.
Tomas Ferrales why do you hate it? This move is risky because you can break your arm easily. If you risk breaking it in order to win, you have the right to call yourself the king. Have you heard what devon talks about this move on his channel? Very interesting and true. Btw this move will not be banned because the rules already say as long as your shoulder does not go under the table line, you‘re fine. This rule was made because of Michael Todd abusing it. Devon stays above the table and he has nothing against this move and he explains why there‘s nothing wrong with it:)

MT pulls his elbow off the back of the pad and anchors the inside of his arm on the back edge of the table then turns his arm open/out. With his elbow fused at a 35-40 degree angle he can't be beat in a best of 5. If the wal would go to a world standard of 7×7 elbow pad or8×8 is fair but 7×9 us unfair its cheating.1guy can run to anchor his arm off the back of the table and the opponent doesn't have the extra pad space to drive in & over to counter.the WAL Is a side show and get no respect from the real leagues & pullers around the world
Haha, devon was wrong about Todd vs "his little brother" matt mask. USA
Holy!
8:27 even Devon couldn't hold Hutchings in a hook..wow!
He did but felt that Todd wasn't getting any weaker, so decided to go back to the Kings move (a more efficient position) to bleed him out.
Todd's a human honey badger. So resilient and stubborn in his pulls. Great!

Shoulders above the elbow should be implemented for any type of defensive move when you are in a losing position....
Otherwise it should be called a foul. If the arms are fully extended or very close to being locked out...they should call it a parallel pin!

Todd burned himself. It happens, he’s still a beast. Devon was born to arm wrestle. Both of those guys are badasses.

Who's here after Matt Mask vs Todzilla
@Rob K. 2019 and still thinking arm wrestling is pure brawn and no brains :D
@Rob K. Todd is an absolute machine and one of the very best in the WAL if not the whole of north america, but in no way does he have more table IQ then devon, love or hate Larratt he is unarguably the most technically minded arm wrestler in the super heavyweights and possibly the whole league.
@Rob K. you hella salty kid
Because he did do the king’s move, I’m guessing you didn’t know that
Ps , he made devon desperate? Yeah so desperate devon flashed him the third , that’s desperate alright , also devon beat todd after a month of not really training , and just traveling around the world pulling hundreds of people before the match , so devon had sup bar training and sore arms and still beat todd , so i think todd better never get on the table with devon not the other way around
@Rob K. You are the very definition of an arm wrestling fanboy tool. lol Guess we follow the trend and hate on a technique that has been used for years.

Incredible match!!!!
Devon's use of the king's move proves that he is adapting to whatever technique is needed to WIN!!!
That's the name of the game: WINNING PERIOD
and you also adopt weather kings move is good or bad depending on devon :(
He would have lost that first one without it no doubt
Yeah he said he's adapting. He used it successfully here. I'm glad it worked out for him. Nice to see him with cash in hand again.
