For me, Isshin was easier than expected, especially during the spear and the lightning phase. I struggled more with Demon of Hatred, but literally just remembering when you can attack and which side to strafe makes every fight easier, and of course, memorizing attack patterns
It’s phase two, that’s really difficult. As I mastered the lightning attack pretty fast, it was all about getting him to that phase. Nowadays I usually first try him easily, as the possibility to fight him just randomly makes it easy to learn him. Therefore I’d rate slave knight Gael, higher than Isshin
@@forwardmoving8252 agreed, it was a pretty tough game, but none of the bosses took me more than 10 tries. can't say the same for pretty much any fromsoft game.
Isshin is probably the hardest final boss I've beaten. Another (not mentioned in the video) that comes to mind is Dracula from Castlevania: Dracula X (1995). This particular fight was primarily difficult because of the horribly designed arena, which consisted of narrow columns over bottomless pits. This meant that if you got hit by any of Dracula's attacks, you'd be knocked into one of the gaps and insta-killed unless you were crouched at the time. The first phase wasn't too bad as long as you were patient and didn't get greedy, but his second demonic phase is much tougher because he's more aggressive. Dark Fact from Ys I (1987) is also very difficult because you either kill him quickly or he'll annihilate you. He zooms around the arena like a DVD screen-saver, firing projectiles at you, and each time you damage him it destroys the part of the arena you were just standing on. If you're not careful, you can end up trapped in a corner of the arena, which is certain death. Finally, I'll give a shout-out to Minax from Ultima II: The Revenge of the Enchantress (1982). That fight can be infuriating because each time you damage her, she teleports to the opposite end of her castle, forcing you to track her down. If that's not bad enough, her Balrons are constantly attacking you the entire time, and Time Stops are paramount to putting some space between you and them. Ideally, you can cause them to get stuck in one of the chambers in the middle of the castle, but, even then, you still have to deal with Minax pelting you with spells.
I defeated Isshin(shura ending) and Isshin(Severing Immortality ending) in a couple of tries. My hardest has to be the Demon of Hatred. That 🦧 was way too hard.
@@KingofCurthes I definitely agree with Demon of Hatred being the toughest, as that was the most difficult FromSoft boss I've beaten to date. As far as final bosses go, though, Sword Saint was probably the toughest for me. Honestly, a lot of the hardest bosses I've beaten aren't final bosses: Nightmare King Grimm from Hollow Knight, Sisyphus Prime from Ultrakill, Sendai from Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, Sigrun from God of War (2018), etc.
Isshin took me like a 2,5 hours, but I'm glad because I learned him and now I'm able to kill him hitless on NG+7. Isshin is the best boss I've ever beaten and I still fight him every once in a while.
@@EasyMoney_SniperR Yeah, Isshin has a very well-designed boss fight that builds on everything you've learned over the course of the game and becomes significantly easier once you learn his patterns.
before the final confrontation with Vergil, there's also the Arkham one, which is so damn hard for the first time, and when you get to the 2nd phase, Vergil helps you beat his blobby cheeks, but in exchange of your style button...and that's what made that bossfight so hard, imo
The fear you get from Nyx Charming a party member and having them attack you is NOTHING compared to the sheer terror of your Charmed party member opting to just fully heal Nyx instead, lol.
I was literally shaking after i beat Isshin the first time. Took me almost 2 months and that says a lot. Hardest boss i ever faced in decades playing videogames. Radagon is difficult too, but after beating Malenia solo, melee, no spells, bell or ashes he was not that tough. But still a very challenging boss. Armstrong is insane too. When i see Isshin and Armstrong in the same thumbnail i know the list is good 😂
Honestly. When I got to him the first time, I just felt like I couldn't beat him. I wasn't talented enough. I missed too many skills. Didn't master enough. So what did I do? I restarted the game. That's how hard I felt he was. So I completely understand.

As someone who’s beaten the game twice, Isshin is probably harder on the bad ending, he can literally dodge your attacks and he gets fire based attacks on his second phase and the boss before him is much tougher than Genichiro is in the good ending
@@tuttiman55 i got the platinum trophy years ago. Beat the game 3 or 4 times (can't remember right now). Emma is tough, but i find this version of Isshin easier than the other one. Radagon didn't have to be that overwhelming. If a person did the side dungeons and extra things on the map along the way (there are a lot of them), by the time you get to him your character is really juiced and you have some leeway in the battle.
Isshin is the peak "one mistake you die" phrase. you literally cannot make mistake against him especially in his second phase or else you'll meet Genichiro again lmao. I love how you describe master hand as "a literal glove" when in context it would have made more sense to say taboo "pimp-slapped master hand, who is normally the outright final boss of the series." Describing him as a glove kind of reduces the significance of how easily taboo brushes him aside 😂

Due to stop playing PS after 3 and casually playing Switch I’m only familiar with Vergil I replayed that fantastic game so many times I confirmed the best weapons against him are firestorm blades and ice one.
Last bosses in Kingdom Hearts Birth by sleep (psp) & The world ends with you (nin ds) are very hard. Final form of the final boss in Hard Corps:Uprising (ps3) is also completely brutal.
I would add Yiazmat, from FFXII. He has over 50 million HP and it took me 3 days fighting him to end that HP (since his HP is so big you can save mid fight). Also, when at low HP, he buffs and basically one shots characters each turn.
Going for S+ tier ranking in Resident Evil 2 Remake and only being able to save 3 times the entire game.. well let's just say I made the mistake of saving at the beginning of the final Labs zone area, so I had to redo that entire multi hour section several times because I didn't realize how hard Mr. X would be on the hardest difficulty when you can't redo the fight so fast and practice. He one shot killed me so many times, I really hated that boss. His charging claw attack can be incredibly hard to dodge, and it's a one hit kill if he gets anywhere near you.
I’m honestly surprised Ganondorf from TotK didn’t make the list; I know phase 3 is more on the easy side, but his first two phases especially pummeled me multiple times.

That lady with lightning on Lies of P should be in here. She was the hardest boss in the game
agreed, but they're going for hardest final boss. I think the nameless puppet was harder
Due to stop playing PS after 3 and casually playing Switch I’m only familiar with Vergil I replayed that fantastic game so many times I confirmed the best weapons against him are firestorm blades and ice one.
I can’t play the RE2 remake without hearing, “X GONNA GIVE IT TO YA!!!” every time Mr. X shows up xD
Cringe ass memes
Demon of hatred is a much harder boss than isshin
100% agree, but the video IS top 20 FINAL bosses!
Yeah but if you set your gambits right, you really don't have to do anything
Not the final boss
Surprised our boy Fatalis didn’t get mentioned 😢
For me, Demon of Hatred is the most difficult boss fight ever and he breaks everything you learn in the game + Midir from DS3
Not the final boss

I know that
Sifu's final boss broke me...
Samuel Hayden Seraphim Boss from Doom Eternal ancient gods part 1 was also one of the toughest final boss to beat on a higher difficulty level.
What about nameless puppet in lies of p?
Going for S+ tier ranking in Resident Evil 2 Remake and only being able to save 3 times the entire game.. well let's just say I made the mistake of saving at the beginning of the final Labs zone area, so I had to redo that entire multi hour section several times because I didn't realize how hard Mr. X would be on the hardest difficulty when you can't redo the fight so fast and practice. He one shot killed me so many times, I really hated that boss. His charging claw attack can be incredibly hard to dodge, and it's a one hit kill if he gets anywhere near you.
The amount of times I died fighting senator Armstrong is almost offensive
I’m honestly surprised Ganondorf from TotK didn’t make the list; I know phase 3 is more on the easy side, but his first two phases especially pummeled me multiple times.
He is so easy it’s not worth mentioning . Play more games instead of baby Nintendo games
@@barkley8285 nah
That fight was easy the fuck you mean “honestly surprised”
@@jds8438 well, just from the fact that I died about a dozen times, yeah, I’m honestly surprised
@@barkley8285 play the game before speaking , it will make you less cringe + he's not mention because this is a repost of the original video who came early after the game release. and honestly he have more his place on the list than some of those bosses mentioned.
Raven Beak was a bastard to kill. So satisfying once he goes down though.
The Sword Saint is def worthy of the top spot. Solid list
the top 3 should be FromSoftware bosses. Gehrman, Radagon, and Isshin.
@@TheGamingStorage69420 Orphan way before Gehrman tho Gehrman ain’t hard at all
@@miki49 is Orphan the final boss of the game?
Honorable mentions
ultimalius from final fantasy 16
Alpha ceph from crysis 3
Ayre from armored core 6 fires of rubicon
The dark lord from doom eternal the ancient gods part 2
gehrman from bloodborne
ultimalius was really easy on both normal and final fantasy mode
Unfortunately, the no DLC rule takes Dark Lord off the list.
This is final bosses
@@darkdragonmedeus705ok shao khan from mortal kombat 2011 instead
Yozora from Kh3 was one of the worst nightmares of every casual player
