Who's to say the best modern made violins won't have the same or better magic in, let's say, 300 YEARS!

Because Stradivari’s clients included royalties and most powerful and rich people of his time, they were great from the start. I have four magnificent replicas of Balestrieri violin and a viola, Willemotte Strad and Vieuxtemps del Gesù made by Italian luthier in Parma, they were excellent from the start and the oldest - 16 months old has developed tremendously. But those turned out exceptionally well, it is not the norm. Age and playing improves the instrument but a bad one won’t develop in 100 years.

@@myrnaadamone4378 same with musicians... There are some that aren't born to play music, and even if the were to practice for 100 years, they may sound decent, but they lack the essence to connect with an instrument to connect to people.

The tuning by scraping was great
