I agree with you on this one Ak. One thing though is that the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan’s parents are from the Caribbean. So I think he should apologize but also learn of the persons from immigrant families who fought with African Americans like the Hon. Minister. That could help his message.
Michael Blackson recently spoke on this topic in a a Vlad interview. He basically said, there are a lot of programs in different African countries that are selling land at a premium to black Americans. The idea being, they lost their tribes and land, they can come back and claim what’s theirs. It was an interesting point IMO. I don’t think Burna Boy was trying to diss black Americans.
It sounds generous on the surface but actually isn't the most well-thought out. A good percentage of AA are in low-income/middle class income. Over 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. AA don't have a surplus of disposable income to simply buy land, build a house, and bring their family across the country, especially if their occupation doesn't translate well in Africa. We appreciate African countries help and the AA families that can afford should take advantage of it. Just don't want Africans to have the perception that AA are just all talk and lazy.

Not undermining the work we've put into America tho..if anything it'll teach us to appreciate it more and in turn realise we are all truly the same when we come together to fight against the conditioning and western systemic oppression & intentional miseducation of the black race
@@moroxiii There is no tracing. Most AA came from West Africa. We don't know what city, what tribe, what family. Even if there is, AA culture and upbringing is significantly different from Nigerian, Ghana, etc culture. We are two different groups that share the same skin color. We can respect each other but also acknowledge we aren't the same.
@@moroxiii
How are we going to trace our lineage back to where we are truly from if majority of the countries in Africa existed when our ancestors was in those lands? Mind you in most cases our ancestors was sold by enemy tribes who claimed the land for themselves so you might be connecting with the culture that sold your ancestors. Also, there was a bunch of different tribes that was sold into the slave trade and they all combined and became Black Americans, Jamaicans, Haitians, Dominicans, Caribbeans etc etc... Are we supposed to just pick one at random to identify as?
@@down-b8197 definitely not expecting you to pick at random, technology has given us the advantage to pinpoint our ancestry with DNA tests. It's all about truly committing. Let's take the ancestry test, read about our home, book a flight with a tour guide and go home. USA is also home but where we are truly from will make us understand better. And not in all cases were our ancestors sold by rival tribes. A lot of them were forced, threatened and killed by the westerners. There is so much to do back home that if we commit some resources we might be able to create our own heaven In Africa
Damn. Respect to Ak for this one. Yes. FBAs/AA/ADOS or whatever the hell we are this month, laid the groundwork.

@@unreleasedcontent9316 How is brotha Burna ignorant, when he said he never stated that nonsense. It came from his own mouth so why apologize for something he never said ?
@@unreleasedcontent9316 Burna Boy's success has very little to do with America. As he said, Americans were the last to embrace his music. So he doesn't owe you anything. If you want to listen to his music, then great. But he'll always be a big star, regardless. Most of his fanbase is from and in Nigeria.
Work smarter not harder and if you're doing hip-hop, clothing, music, dance, lingo that's definitely "Black" New York American culture 😎
Black Americans had nothing to do with the success of this guy

He’s lived in London since he was 12.
This is probably the most enlightened take Ak has ever given. No 🧢
Its a terrible take. He doesn't address the point that Burna boy said he didn't say that.

@@adeyowodunni5011he ain’t no fkn jay z wen this tend ends so will he American made hip hop is what he wish he was
@@adeyowodunni5011 Ego has nothing to do with rapping and songwriting. Making music is about taste, perspective and originality. Having a hit is about how you package and market said song. None of it requires you to be arrogant. Burna Boy didn't say that Black Americans have no culture, this is true. What he said about building a bridge was also true. But the way he said those things and the tone that he used did come off condescending. On top of that, calling the people that you're trying to build a bridge to stupid is completely detrimental to that mission. Black people around the world are one people. However, African American culture is the #1 inspiration for world pop culture at this point and that needs to be acknowledged and respected at all times. Period.

I agree with you on this one Ak. One thing though is that the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan’s parents are from the Caribbean. So I think he should apologize but also learn of the persons from immigrant families who fought with African Americans like the Hon. Minister. That could help his message.
*A BURNA BOY AND DMX COLLAB WOULD'VE BEEN 😢*
The richest black person in the world is Nigerian named Aliko Dangote. Food for thought
AK show the video like he said? Dont just say he needs to apologise if he said he didn’t say it.
As an African hat has never interacted with a single AA, I admit that our perceptions of AAs are largely influenced by mainstream media and social media @@SpyJamz

Walking with no shoes is being in touch with the nature. It's cool actually. And Burna Boy don't need América. He's making a lot of money in Africa wich is a whole continent full of 1,5 billion people. So he's good, trust me.
@mbembaleba your colonizers still control Africa, and the music
We can’t build a bridge together if you’re denying what work we put in. Their entire sound and style is from the culture we created! Black Americans are different.
The success and publicity that the guy is getting right now is not because he is necessarily supported by the black American audience, so to come now after 12 years of work that he has done and try to take credit or try to criticize him is a bit lame, let him have fun and do his thing it is not necessarily related to a certain audience One way or another, the only question every person should ask himself is whether he connects and love his music, yes or no.
