    Pretty much what I’m hearing is that no African-Americans work hard you have to be born a foreigner to be a hard-working person… Meanwhile, I was homeless for 20 years straight out of the foster care system, and now I own 2 homes and work 6 days a week

Nothing has been more inspiring in my life than learning about people like Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King, malcom X muhamed Ali, and so much more. All over the world, where black culture exists, it's beautiful. ❤ Bob marley always said one love for a reason. We are all one!

    I know both sides
    Foreigner’s definitely think they are better , being raised by Jamaicans I had to work twice as hard around family to prove myself , being stereotyped as a AA and that I was inferior. Truth is my dad is Jamaican so I’m known as a Jamaican to my peers never considered myself as a AA.     he didnt say black americans have no culture. he didnt attack black americans at all. he said they have no home base and they are (by no choice of their own) unfamiliar with their lineage and ancestry outside of what was imposed on them through slavery. what he said is true, all other people in america came by their own will and they have embassies in this country that represent their home countries and defend them. if a chinese person is hurt or unfairly incarcerated, china can intervene. same with a european or an australian, but for as long as africa is in a weak state and there is no connection between the diaspora then its going to remain that way.

Even if there is, AA culture and upbringing is significantly different from Nigerian, Ghana, etc culture. We are two different groups that share the same skin color. We can respect each other but also acknowledge we aren't the same.

      How are we going to trace our lineage back to where we are truly from if majority of the countries in Africa existed when our ancestors was in those lands? Mind you in most cases our ancestors was sold by enemy tribes who claimed the land for themselves so you might be connecting with the culture that sold your ancestors. Also, there was a bunch of different tribes that was sold into the slave trade and they all combined and became Black Americans, Jamaicans, Haitians, Dominicans, Caribbeans etc etc... Are we supposed to just pick one at random to identify as?

Let's take the ancestry test, read about our home, book a flight with a tour guide and go home. USA is also home but where we are truly from will make us understand better. None of it requires you to be arrogant. Burna Boy didn't say that Black Americans have no culture, this is true. What he said about building a bridge was also true. But the way he said those things and the tone that he used did come off condescending. On top of that, calling the people that you're trying to build a bridge to stupid is completely detrimental to that mission. Black people around the world are one people. However, African American culture is the #1 inspiration for world pop culture at this point and that needs to be acknowledged and respected at all times. Period.

    Michael Blackson recently spoke on this topic in a a Vlad interview. He basically said, there are a lot of programs in different African countries that are selling land at a premium to black Americans. The idea being, they lost their tribes and land, they can come back and claim what’s theirs. It was an interesting point IMO. I don’t think Burna Boy was trying to diss black Americans.

      It sounds generous on the surface but actually isn't the most well-thought out. A good percentage of AA are in low-income/middle class income. Over 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. AA don't have a surplus of disposable income to simply buy land, build a house, and bring their family across the country, especially if their occupation doesn't translate well in Africa. We appreciate African countries help and the AA families that can afford should take advantage of it. Just don't want Africans to have the perception that AA are just all talk and lazy.
