I’d been here July 2015!!!❤️🩹 One of the best places on earth to travel to! I love Lake Titicaca and the awesome mountains surrounding it! Would love to go back again with my family someday 🌿🌿🌿❤️🩹
I have been there and wanted to express the beauty to my family and friends and NOW for the first time I can do that! This has to be the best and most beautiful video ever of Lake Titicaca and the lifestyle of the wonderful inhabitants! Simply the best ever! THANK YOU for sharing this incredible video......You are amazing!!! Love and hugs from Samoa...Chief Tupa'i Bruno
There is some great stuff here, the terraced islands are very unusual, from what I could see they were not being used for agriculture any longer. The floating islands are interesting enough but there was a shot taken from up high showing the larger scale of Titicaca that was very impressive.
All pre-Columbian terraces in the Andes are mostly abandoned, about 60-80% depending on the place. Some are still used on the island but due to the low population they can't afford to maintain all of it, that's the main reason for the terraces abandonment.
@GamingTV It's spaced enough, even thinner terraces are still being used in the Andes to this day. Check out the terraces of Cuyocuyo, some are very narrow and are still being used for cultivation
@@stevehutchesson1321 Virtually all terrace building stopped after the Spanish conquest so basically all terraces you ever see in the Andes of Peru/Bolivia and surrounding areas are of Pre-columbian origin, the exception is some rice paddies built in places such as the very north of Peru but those are pretty discernible from Pre-Columbian terraces There are many reasons why Pre-Columbian terraces were abandoned and eroded all over the Andes, one of the main reasons was due to the severe population drop subsequent of the Spanish conquest that made many areas to regress into "despoblados" (wildlands), much more recent is the massive migration from the rural areas to the cities and towns, because of this many areas have now just too little population to properly maintain or cultivate the terraced areas (example:OP'S video), another factor is due to the introduction of modern technologies that made farming on flat areas much more profitable, so nowadays peasants cultivate terraces on a - relatively - large scale only in places were there are literally no other options available
Oh wow, this is a seriously good video - congratulations to the maker who obviously has a very good ‘eye’. It is all beautiful, but I think the shot that stays with me most is the one through the stone archway showing the path going onwards in perspective.....I wish it was on Magic Puzzles!
Excellent 4K video as always. I really enjoy your perspective. Brings back memories of bluest water on Earth and terrible altitude sickness. Puno doesn’t spoil the view. But I noticed some modern big structure on the north shore on my trip. Possibly big business or hotel. Sad.
Lake Titicaca, o Lake Titicaca, It's between Bolivia and Peru. Lake Titicaca, yes Lake Titicaca, With waters tranquil and blue! Lake Titicaca, o Lake Titicaca, Why do we sing of its fame? Lake Titicaca, yes Lake Titicaca, 'Cause we really like saying its name! Titicaca!

LagiNaLangAko23 It should be spring/summer there now. I wondered about that too.

Daniel, thanks for the info, I was not sure if they were old or more recent.

Amazing scenes ! they are combining between simple life and technology ( Solar power plate )
In some houses on floating islands people have satellite TV. Solar panels are the only source of energy.
You are so good at putting videos together you would make a great living in Hollywood.
