Coach Javier Mendez is absolutely one of my favorite coaches in MMA. The Dagestani fighters call him the Real Mexican G. Haha they all have respect for each other.
I like how Javier keeps it real that khabib really the head coach during his career coming over here to America.. but Javier def earned there respect and gave them some motivation

Its not culture but religion : read the hadiths about the obligation of respecting elderly persons, but We r also supposed to respect rendez vous timing but no one is perfect except God WE make jihad to be better persons all the Time

I think AKA has been the most successful mma gym ever. They had Cain, DC, khabib islam and rockhold all champs. Khabib and Dc both are in the top ten when it comes to greatest mma fighters ever.

For me as a born Muslim whos born an raised in nyc... Much respect for these guys to experience this and speak honestly and openly about the Islamic culture and way of life as they see it which has gone a good way to counteract the propoganda from all the bs terrorism an negative stuff incorrectly put on Islamic faith Alhumdulilah
He never had the level of respect as a coach n most importantly as an elder or father figure like the way those dagestanis do to him,.. That's why he's happy with them
There is difference between greatest and best. Khabib is pound for pound the best fighter ever. As to Islam he can surpass Khabib in accomplishments if he sticks around.

The deep respect these guys have comes from islamic culture. Anywhere in the world with a strong islamic culture, the people are extremely respectful. And when society starts becoming more liberal people start losing that element of respect, i noticed that in many places
Xavier was basically disrespected by them clearly. I am sure they didn't apologize either. Xavier is just too nice to let it go. The Dagestani boys are humble to an extent but not really.

He credited everything to Khabib and late Abdulmanap, which they surely deserve. But Xavier has done a miracle with Islam's striking but he didn't thank him, didn't even mention him. Their show of respect to Xavier is just for optics for their muslim fans and other fans in general.
