The W. Hoffmann pianos are incredible! They offer some of the best cost-to-value ratios on the market in my opinion. Also, I will be sure to pass along your compliments to Stu on your behalf. :)
Thanks for the video. We had the opportunity to try a T177 yesterday and were pleasantly surprised by it. I'm wondering if you had the chance to try the T186? I'm assuming tonal characteristic would be the same.
I don't know why this video, or why this piano.... but even through my phone's speakers, I'm hearing this incredible "swirling" effect when you play. It's almost like a chorus - very 3D. It's beautiful! I don't hear it on the Visions or the Professionals.
Great presentation Mr. Harrisson. Lovely instrument. One question please. Are in the T Series parts made in Hailun, or is it completely made in Europe?
Thanks for the question! The T177 does not have its parts produced in Hailun, the Tradition and Professional Hoffmanns are all-European in both parts and manufacturing. Glad you enjoyed the video. -Stu
Hi , Stu. I always enjoy your video indeed. I really like your beautiful performance. Well, My mother and I are keen researchers of grandpiano and have been wondering which one is the best buy for a long time. We've checked plenty of pianos but its really hard to make up our minds. But owing to you ,we decided finally! To tell you the truth, we are going to get W Hoffmann T161. As you say ,it's incredibly wonderful. Especially actions and soundboard are terrific .It's worth choosing! Thank you so much !
Could I ask you one question? Are there any differences between the sound bord of T series and that of P series? The place where it grew or the kind of the material?
@UCOYudl3SCUJ8fVRHAtNWpLA Please, do you know the history of the W. Hoffmann brand before buying the Czech facility by Bechstein? Has there been some Hoffmann pianos before? Is it just they started this brand instead of Bohemia brand name? Is it just the line name? Thanks
Boy boy boy that’s nice. You’re a terrific pianist

Hi Stu,
Would you point me toward the other review where you say you just play the instrument please? Thanks!

Would love to hear a review on the T 161
We will definitely do our best to feature more reviews and comparisons on the wonderful W. Hoffmann line! :)
I find it has a better tone than the p 186...( from the recording)
That is certainly a fair statement. Every model has a slightly different tonal profile. Bigger or more expensive is not always the preference.

More “all playing, no talking” videos for acoustic piano please. ^^
Sounds like a speakeasy jazz piano
