In this episode of Game Breakers, we take a look at glitches / exploits in the brand new Pokemon Sword and Shield! There are a bunch of pretty crazy ones found like flying above the map, evolving eggs, infinite watts, and a more. Enjoy!

I'm assuming that there's people experienced with game glitches and are good at spotting breakable features. There are definitely groups of people dedicated to purely glitching games lol
Same way people find stuff in souls-borne games do everything everywhere till something happens
Probably look at the game code and search for glitch stuff or something.

0:37 The season has ended, so ranked battles are currently unavailable. However, there is another, easier way to glitch your time: Join a Single or Double Battle in Casual Battles, when you enter a battle, turn on airplane mode and leave the fight. this will glitch your time !
What if u don’t have switch online?
Technically, the Pomog Berry glitch from Gen 3’s Emerald also allowed you to evolve eggs! However, it was much, much more tedious than this. It required having a party of all fainted Pokémon except the egg, and then battling with the egg against wild Pokémon.

@@MusharnaMushNot sure, but in DPP Little Cup, the glitch I'm talking about is actually crucial in order to get certain mons in the tier 'legitimately', like tri attack porygon. It's super interesting

Edit: Saying it's broken as Red Blue and Yellow was an over exaggeration. Of course nothing will ever be as broken as fighting Glitch Pokemon that have weird exclusive moves and can give you more Master Balls.

Ikr? Kung fu Panda is amazing. I even saw all 3 movies. Oogway is in the first one and also the one where he passed away. I haven't seen them In a while but I sorta have some memory as to what happens (in the first one, the other 2 I have little to no recollection as to what happens).

I used the egg exploit and got a level 1 hydreigon. It evolves from zweilous at level 64 I believe.

now that would be cool lol a missingno but they would rather hate on their fanbase and show a lack of integrity and loyalty to anyone who said fuck pokemon go this is bs i want real pokemon games i gotta catch em all not some of them. But truth is we are terrible consumers and ppl went out and bought it because they lack integrity just like the developers do. They share that in common. I wont buy another pokemon game i stopped supporting these games after X and Y because those were the last decent games to have good trade system, voice communication and a passionate presentation. I have long since lost faith in gamefreaks and these games present exactly my point. The integrity or passion that those old games show is not from hundreds of developers like switch has heart gold and soul silvers entire dev team could be counted on 1 hand. Best games in the series according to many of the fans to this day. SO its about that integrity and thats missing when you go paywall cash grab mentality and your goal is to rape the ppl on mobile devices not actually care wtf fans of your game think. This was all marketing not passion or integrity. Simply discriminate marketing tactics that Nintendo has always used against you. Gamefreaks has no more integrity than EA or Bethesda at this point. they are to gamers and games what Monsanto is to food and farmers.

Finding imposter ditto is fairly easy. I caught 30 Ditto and half of them have imposter.
Comic sans productions It’s only because Raids can easily give Hidden Abilities, for most Pokémon. Some Pokémon can only have HAs through transfer, or Wild Area Events.
I’ve only encountered ten or so Den Dittos and didn’t get Imposter. However, I’ve found so many other HA Pokémon through dens.

wow. i caught and bred/ev-trained/leveled a perfect salandit without realizing only females could evolve. mine was male. i used it in battles anyway because i really didn't want to raise another one. an hour later i stumble upon this video with a hack specifically with salandit! that I've never heard of. i honestly went into watching this video expecting hacks i already knew of but got a new one perfect for me 🤣.

Has anyone thought you could potentially get to the right side of motostoke early because of this out of bounds trick? I got softlocked behind the gate but if you get the angle right, you could get into that part early.

Has anyone encounter the glitching Gyarados yet? I've it seen in the wild area the Gyarados glitch out of water a few days ago when I was shinny hunting he spun upwards in the air then it spawned back in the water.

I had a weird glitch. I killed a wailmer, then it’s shadow followed me in the corner of the screen in the over world. It disappeared when I reloaded the screen.

It's actually the Eternatus battle that triggers this increase in watts, not the champion battle. During the interval between the Eternatus and Leon battles, I went to get some EXP candies to strengthen my team and each den I looked in had more watts than usual.
My take on the reason behind it is because Eternatus is the source of Dynamax energy, therefore having it in at least the box link will multiply watts in dens.

I have a glitch for you!! When you face gmax eternatus and there is that brief period when you cant attack, if you switch out your pokemon it will switch back to the original pokemon that was out on the battle field as if you never made the switch. for proof watch Adrive’s bugg nuzlocke episode where he battles gmax eternatus. this also happened to me when i played through sword myself
And the XP farming. Start and lose a ranked battle, place as many Pokémon in a pokejob. Preferably the max 30 and 10 star. Send for the whole day. Change date and go retrieve them for between 42k to 55k per Pokémon, per minute. Sometimes you can get 4 of them specific jobs. so it's really easy to get multiple lvl 100 :)

@@MrMaxoumixou Yes, the raid den exploit works too.. however I think the ranked battle saves more time. You need NS Online though...
@@peterobiano1687 It's only a few seconds saved tho, unless you farm hundreds of level 100 a day (which is beyond uselessness), it's not really useful to save up those seconds 🤔
@@MrMaxoumixouYah, but with the Ranked battle one, I just stay on the PKMN center until I leveled up my entire box to 100... As opposed to flying into the wild area to do the raid den exploit. I might be doing wrong though so not sure.. =)

This statement is not generally true, it can only change the gender if its evolution has a different gender ratio. He probably meant "any male Combee or Salandit." If the glitch also works for item-based evolutions and not just level-based ones, it could work to evolve a female Kirlia into a male Gallade or male Snorunt into female Froslass though.

I had a glitch where I was in the wild area during a snowstorm. My kanto meowth was at 1 hp because of false swipe. The next pokemon I faced was an ice type so it didn't take damage from hail, but then my meowth didn't take any damage either. I wasn't able to replicate it though so idk
I like how someone can ask for a level 1 fully evolved starter and you can bring said starter in Pokémon home but you can’t trade it even though they are asking for a level 1 starter

The issues I've seen aren't exactly game breaking but mostly polish, like how giving and removing items from Pokémon is always worded strangely and many NPCs don't seem to have gotten the memo you beat Leon and still refer to the player as Challenger.
I also noticed the Pokémon shown in the catching tutorial popped out of frame for me, bit odd.

Considering that the only way to get Mew outside of a specific event in the OG games was via a Trading Glitch that was purposefully put in, I can say it is highly likely that at least some of these were probably intentional.
I like how the biggest thing that bothers me is the pop in effects and background elements. Could they seriously not have given 5 more meters of LOD?

Here's 2 more:
In the hail, face against a wild Pokemon that knows bounce (in my case, a mantyke) make sure you're faster than it.
Once it uses bounce, it'll be damaged by the hail. Use toxic. Toxic will work.
Facing Hop when he's talkative, use a move that hides the opposing trainer (in my case, it was aurora beam) make sure it's a super effective or critical hit. It'll seem like the sky is yelling at you. (I'm not sure if this will work for other trainers)
I actually had this weird glitch that occured... I know you have to complete Legendary Clue? to get the Ultra Beasts and you only get ALL the legendary Pokemon from the 2 games, like Latias and Latios, they are separate, they come from one game while the other is in the opposite, but the glitch made me earn sword and shield legendaries... (Not the regular Pokemon tho) like I got Ho-oh on shield, how? Ho-oh only on sword, and I got all Ultra Beasts before completing Legendary Clue? ! Can someone tell me how lucky I am?

For the people who need to do the VS glitch but can't because the Ranked season has ended.
-Go into a Casual battle
-Turn on Airplane mode once battle starts
-You should be kicked out from the battle
And that should work for you.
So you're saying someone should do a casual battle, wait until the queue finds someone else, wait unil that person spends time deciding on which pokemon to use, and then disconnect. You're encouraging people to harm the experience of other players, so you can cheat. Are you really okay with that?

Glitches are different from exploits, they will patch glitches but not exploits because it uses the system against itself which is nothing out of the normal, but glitches are different from the original system entirely and will be patched in time. After all that said, the Watt Farming/Date Spoofing and Raid Duping are exploits not Glitches

I haven't tested it, but I've heard the ranked battle technique has been patched, since you now get booted from the server after a loss.

That animation glitch with Torkoal reminds me of a gen 7 glitch with Ninjask. If you used Leech Life to get out of the Red Health zone while fainting the target, it would freeze the wing animation so it would appear to be floating. Haven't tested it in Gen 8 yet.

Out of bounds glitch reminds me when i was playing ykw and i was heading to the tunnel in mt wildwood, i fell through the bridge but i then after a couple seconds landed back on the bridge since ykw is always prepared lol

I've managed to get a couple of weird glitches to happen. First, minor one, had a slight graphical glitch with the dex. Don't k ow how I set it up, but the cursor for the language selection was on an invisible language, and not highlighting the correct one. The other, had two different occurrences of shadow glitches. One crashed the game after a while, the other didn't. First had the shadows from my zacian and a wild sawk glitch out, so they stayed in the overworld, and stayed going into battles. They were frozen in spot. Crashed my game when I went over the motorstoke outskirts bridge. The 2nd one was a large square shadow, but that one righted itself. So weird...

Anothe glitch that AbsolBlogsPokemon found out about is a glitch where if you're quick enough,, you can level up a level 100 pokemon with a rare candy!! You just do the same egg leveling glitch as you did in the video

I don't think so, as you get the bike after the first gym. Maybe you could use the glitch to skip the mine by entering it without fighting Bede.
With the 'gender change' glitch, its actually about how genders are stored. There's a random number, and if its in a certain range that determines its gender. Female-only evolutions have 100% female ratio, so every number is a female. Azumaril changes genders this way as well, as it is another pokemon line that changes gender ratios on evolution.
I thought they patched it up with with azuilmarril in future games

Instead of turning your watts into pokedollars there is another way to get a lot of pokedollars in the game,
Battle in “The Galarian star tournament” for the first time (I’m pretty sure you have to win it) then boom one million pokedollars:)

worth noting, the egg evolution glitch has use for breeding pokemon like Toxel too, since it has to hit 30 to evolve, allowing you to in theory just hatch and breed if you get good at the timing.

I was to intimidated by raid battles, I only did one when I was done the game.
for the egg glitch, it doesn't matter if the pokemon above it can learn a tm/tr, it just matters what the egg pokemon could learn when hatched. As long as it can learn a tm/tr, you can view its stats and stuff and any other mons in your party don't matter. The evolving egg glitch only works if they're the same though. I was messing around with it but it just crashes if they aren't the same. :( I was hoping it would like change species or whatever haha.
Edit: You can also use the watt glitch to shuffle the raid den pokemon quickly. Haven't tried it with max raids, but I'm guessing it works the same.

Changing the date several times, joining a vs then leaving, shaking the tree etc I mean that’s an awful lot of steps.

With the fourth glitch that you showed off, for a brief moment, I thought it meant that I could get a male salazzle and my heart skipped a beat. Level one evolutions are neat and all, but a male salazzle would’ve really been something. The glitch, although disappointing to me, is still really interesting and useful though
