The one failure of all the videos showing how to use one of these tire changes is that none of these guys explain Over the duck bill, under the tail, and under the duck bill and over the tail. That has always been the missing link in these videos. Thank you for your great explanation with clear videos.
I bought one off E bay, same make and yes, a little pricey but it works phenomenal, I changed the tires on my fifth wheel and put 14 ply tires on, it makes changing a breeze.
Can you repair tire bead with a chipped piece about 3 x 7/16 " in size? I've replaced one tire today from the damaged wheel on a new one. During installation, at the very end, I saw a piece of the very edge of the tire to be partly torn and messed between the tire bead area and the rim. I took the needle nose pliers and pulled out that piece tearing it off the bead. It is like 3" long and 7/16 " wide. I set the bead, though 1st the area was coming out from the damaged part, and it took me longer, but eventually the tire gave a typical click and popped into the wheel bead area. The pressure is constant, but I'm afraid that under the load of the car it develops a leak. I think maybe it is better to break a bead and glue back the piece, which was removed w/tire glue? Or if something like that happens to the bead, it is better just to replace that tire? The tire is Micheline Defender 2 in a very good condition, I replaced them just 1 year ago and the tire itself if only 2 years old. I would appreciate any opinions on that matter. Thank you for the great film.

Thank you so much for your explanation and installing the manual Tyre change out tool. I love it I like the item that tool, how can I order or buy that manual Tyre change out tool?
great video thx!!! Just an observation... these demos are always done with high profile and soft sidewall tire (205/75- B15) the trouble starts with van tires (the C's), reinforced motorbike tires (MitasEO7), combo's with inner tube (Harley rims with classic spokes), low profile car tires on alu rims (225/40-18 and larger) ... But again, your video is very good despite these annoying types of tires!!!
Thanks. Yeah, it was impressive how well this attachment worked. Plus it’ll save your rims. After pricing out the materials and time involved to build, purchasing this was the way to go.
It will work just fine on a R19. I had not tried a R20 with this setup yet so I cannot confirm this. The R19 was a standard truck tire, not a low profile.
What is the inside diameter of the main round tube? I have a Northern Tool manual tire changer which is a little thicker and heavier than the one from Harbor Freight.
If you can get it made and sold for 50 to 75 dollars a lot of us DIY'ers would jump on it. But at $230 plus shipping ,thats for somone in the tire changing buisness. But I doubt theyd be usuing a harbor freight or tractor supply tire remover to begin with. Nice concept tho
There's a family in Texas making these for around $115 shipped and they have outstanding feedback on ebay. I can certainly justify spending $115 for it but over $200, at least in my case, makes it kinda prohibitive.
I thought the same until I started pricing building one myself. After using this attachment, I’d never go without it. I guess it all depends on how much use you’ll get from it.
The only thing that can't be made quickly at a metal shop is the ducktail part. Maybe someone can just offer that part. I can't believe the cost of that adapter.
These manual tire changers, the base excluding this adapter, were $31 in 2021. Now with Bidenflation... $79.85. Inflation is NOT 6.9%, like the Press Secretary tells us.It's 55-300%
I added up how much one man on eBay has made it was over 160 grand for a foot of square tubing and a piece of plastic. Making them in his shop in his spare time lol it's crazy the money that can be made if you can come up with an idea.
looks worth it but no mention of the fact that it is Canadian made(a plus!) but shipping is exorbitant to the US. Canadians have a similar problem from the US. WHY IS THAT!!!
I made my own for $25 dollars I had the scrap steel just bought the milled duck head and milled cone… so why in the heck does this thing cost so damn much??? Now you know why the country has gone to crap from greed
Notice they don’t show a aluminum wheel,I used one on a aluminum wheel,& marked it all up breaking the bead,I hate taking my tires anywhere to be mounted because you always get cheated, but you have no choice if you don’t invest in the right tools,so I had one tire mounted, but couldn’t get it aired up because of the gap between the wheel & tire,so they charged me $30.00 to air one up & mount the other, guess I’ll have to buy a cheetah air blaster,to save money,it’s very hard to install tires with the bar that H/ F includes with tire machine, plus trying to use plastic on the ends to avoid making up the wheel.
There's another company that makes this very same mod, the price is a rip off for the content and not to mention that you can build the stuff for less than $70. Kinda scummy if you ask me.
Love your 80s informational voiceover

you haven't watched many videos then. I've seen several channels explain that very thing.

A lucid adapter is $150? Wtf... ummm.... ill use some long flatheads.

I did not watch the full video. How well does this work with lower profile tires.
Tested with 225/55/R17 performed well. I hadn’t tested with anything lower profile yet but I would imagine this would work pretty well down to 45.
Thanks again Deano! This is even better than the regular manual tire changer!
Your welcome!! For sure, makes an ok tire changer into a great tire changer.
Excellent but kinda pricey for me. I could see myself making something similar.
Nice video and product.

Wow very cool. Seems easier than the big machines that cost thousands..
Just built this for about $20 using what I had laying around.
Will it do drag slicks?
Max tire size?
Will it take R19/R20?
It will work just fine on a R19. I had not tried a R20 with this setup yet so I cannot confirm this. The R19 was a standard truck tire, not a low profile.
Where I can find one I need one oh my tires please

This is the Canadian dollars price on February 20, 2024: Swing Arm with Duck Head / Duckbill demount included with this unit C$229.99.
you can easily rebalance an old tire by marking the valve stem and weight locations , but how do you balance a new tire?
I use balancing beads. Work amazing, even when you’re tires get snow or ice built up on them.
@@DeanoOutDoors never heard of those .can you show me what your talking about
ECO Balance Beads. amzn.to/3KvTQV4 Check these out. You install them in your tires. The amount is determined by the size of your tire.
What is the inside diameter of the main round tube? I have a Northern Tool manual tire changer which is a little thicker and heavier than the one from Harbor Freight.
The inside measures 2 1/8”. I should had mentioned this in the video.
What about balancing the tires?
I have a manual tire balancer, but I prefer to use balancing beads.
Where can you buy this I

THAT kind of pricing is exactly what has made it so easy for Chinese imports to take over. Is it really $230 for the adapter alone? That's ridiculous.
how to buy that manual tire changer..here in the 🇵🇭
Does it work for tires 19 inch?
Yes, it’ll work on 19”.
Will this adaptor fit on the Harbor Freight tire changer?
Yes, it sure will.
Tool is very cool, but Pricey! If it cost around $60 I'd totally buy it, but for over $200 I'll wait.

Amazon sells it for 65.
very good explanation, thanks.
You need a cone for center of rim so the stock star thinking doesn't scratch the rim. I bought my Harbor Freight Changer for $75.
Yes, absolutely. I recently purchased one and it’s so much better. Thx for watching!
Very ezy and low cost ❤

Look on youtube for how to seat a tire bead, just need a can of starter fluid for the hard ones that don't want to seat.
