Running stock for now. Cant wait to see a full build episode. Great car for what it is. Fun part of the hobby is always buliding better. Steering and thicker diff fluid is my only real complaint
Great vid. I have also upgraded the steering servo and the aluminium steering parts. However there is no upgrade for the plastic setvo horn/servo saver. This seems to bethe weak link in the steering. It's way too soft with the new metal gear servo....is tgere an upgrade for the plastic horn that you know of?
Thankyou for watching Chap!, and your kind comment!.. I`m not aware of an upgraded servo saver, I have slightly stretched the spring to give it a little more grip, and im considering stretching it a little more, or looking for a washer to fit.. I hope thats helpful Chap!

That is AWESOME!! Amazing work! I’m working on the Aluminum parts on mine. When you did the servo swap, was that basically just remove and replace? There’s not a stock “clip” is there to remove servo wire? You had to cut? Any soldering? Are you using original transmitter? Would love more info. Really want mine to move this well.
@@cheggers1973 Great, I am just thinking in case of a serious front impact without that padding, servo and battery bye-bye? However I think this will only become a serious threat at 120 km/h plus speeds. So we still have some way to go before we get there, LOL!!! Anyway, I have a whole roll of foam door sealing strip lying around, so I cut off a piece and stuck it onto my servo between the battery and the servo.
Hi! Just found your video. Great job there! I have one question. I am slowly upgrading my 14210 and I got the same red tie rods. Just went out to try the car but they get unscrewed completely. How did you fix them? I tried even to start with a very open toe (tie rods totally screwed in) but after 3 mins of runs they get completly unscrewed and they fall apart. Tried to put the system together, run once more and the issue came back.... Your help would be very much appreciated!!!
I fitted the same servo, I guess I ordered the one without the servo horn/servo saver. After the upgraded servo I'm having issues with the servo saver, it just slips.
2:49 nice video. We are using the same servo… huge difference. Where did you get the aluminum front bumper? The original seems to be a weak part of this car
Cheers!... The middle part of the bumper is a 16207 bumper made to fit with a hacksaw and file.. the rest I made from some 40mm diameter aluminium tube,a hacksaw, file, sand paper and then pollished.

I know I’m a bit late to seeing this but I noticed you have a metal skid plate just below the front suspension. Is that a part you found or is that a custom one? Great video!
You need 2 hex / screwdrivers (14209 comes with Phillips screws, 14210 with hex scres). Insert 1 into the screw at each end of the red bar, hold 1 still while unscrewing the opposite end. Both screws have a LOT of Loctite from the factory, so you need quite a lot of force to undo. You should hear a "crack" when the Loctite bond breaks, then you can undo the screws. Hope this helps, good luck!

hi!, you can hear that its still doing it full range of movement, but the servo saver is slipping a bit under the load of static steering on the spot. remove the servo saver and stretch the spring with some plyers to about 16mm from its existing 10..11mm.. this will fix it.. put a tiny bit of threadlocker on the screw. be careful not to get any on the plastic. Does anyone else think that one should put a foam buffer pad between the battery and the steering servo?
I did see a few people have needed such padding.. thankfully I've not had the battery move, possibly due to how I strap it.

How did you set the End Play for the new servo?
You have to have a Transmitter capable of setting the rates and total travel... The stock transmitter doesn't have these options.
