is it safe to bake masking tape covered armature covered with clay?
I've never had an issue with baking the armature, I bake my sculptures at a low heat for a long period. Just keep an eye on your creations just in case :P
Hey, it's Thatgirlhidingthere from dA, thanks again for the tutorial! Wanted to ask, why do you cover the aluminium with tape? Won't the clay slip on it?
Hello ^_^ I mummify the armature for a few reasons, because its masking tape the clay sort of sticks to it better than just the foil. The other reason is that the foil tends to fall off in bits when I use smaller pieces so the tape holds it all together. The final reason is when I clay it up sometimes I wanna redo it so if I take the clay off the armature the foil won't embed itself in the clay if the tape is there , nothing worse than conditioning clay and getting pricked by foil XD hope this helps and thank you for watching

@@AaGolden6Gaming I would imagine so, Ive never used it but I don't see why it wouldnt work. Just keep an eye on it when baking. I'd love to know if it works :)

Do you have a picture of your dragon ? and its really difficult to replicate armatures and sculptures so don't worry if it looks different :)
