- The last few months have seen dramatic - almost magical - applications of expert generative AI released to the public. But what does this mean for healthcare and bio? Vijay and Marc sat down for a wide-ranging discussion on AI as an additive superpower…for healthcare as well as screenplays, music, and more.

Oh my god. I cannot listen to this interview. Vijay says "yeah. yeah. yeah. yeah. yeah. yeah. yeah. yeah." Like holy **** can you calm down? Heavens.
400+ times per transcript lol
When you are talking publicly with your boss...
Just realised that I'm doing the same. Lol
Having a hard time understanding or deciphering sentences, due to constant acknowledgement even while mark is still talking. The content is sooo good. Thanks so much! I wish you could re-upload it with some audio clean up
Love the content a16z homies, thank you. However, will someone use an AI tool, or edit the audio/video by hand, and re-upload this without the many affirmations while mark is talking? Minor bother but a grating one in my humble opinion. Thanks a16z homies, can't wait for ben's mixtape
Dang, actually, I see they tried their best haha
I found it unlistenable with all of the “yeah, yeah, yeah”. You can still hear it through Mark’s microphone even when they mute Vijay.
Exactly my thoughts. I had such a hard time understanding. Shame, since the content is really so good.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yeah yes yes yeah yeah yeah
"Yes, yes"
The host has the most annoying "yeah, yeah" tic, cutting into the flow of the conversation and making it barely listenable. Strong commentary from Marc, but much less impactful due to the host's need to show knowledge in the area
I'm coming here after trying to listen to the audio only podcast on Spotify because I first thought the audio may have been sped up and then realized Vijay's affirmations made it difficult to listen to. The audio in this video is occasionally better because Vijay's volume levels are sometimes reduced when Marc is speaking. It is WAY WORSE on Spotify because of the consistent volume of both people's voices. Slowing the playback speed to 0.75 actually sounds better. Still, I kinda just want to look for a transcript of this otherwise interesting conversation.

+1
Coming here from Spotify as well.. Thought my brain was melting for a moment.
Vijay: "Yes"
No one:
Vijay Pande: YES
Great talk thanks for uploading. Also, shout-out to the person who edited the audio on this one.
a16z? more like YAY 16z
first comment bruh
yeah yeah yeah yup yeah yup
How many times did he say yes lol
This was a very nuanced and interesting take on AI in healthcare. Also, talking Marc is much different than tweeting Marc :).
Talking slower would make the whole discussion a bit more meaningful. The listener gets no chance to make up his mind about the content
I'm exhausted...I had to resort to CC and take a mental break from the hyper-drive conversation.
Its great to listen to Marc ,thanks for bringing him again and again
AI akan terlihat memudahkan bekerja oleh khalayak umum saat semua peoduk virtual semua sektor berhasil dinanufakturkan dengan produk peralatan yang nyata yang dikombinasikan dengan semua permesinan
wow. just wow. humans sound pretty limited in relevance apart from the human economy. how do we take better care of each other. thank you for this conversation!
13:26 Marc asking about quality control of PhDs after published research papers with default ChatGPT responses are circling around twitter 😂😂
The interviewer is a “yes man”..LITERALLY lol 🤦🏾♂️
We're currently building a Personal AI Health Companion at Endurant Healthspan.
I can’t decipher much from this talk. Very disappointing. They talk too fast and jump around.
Man, Vijays constant "Yeah, yeah, yeah" is super annoying. The content was interesting but the distraction almost unbearable.
The yeahs and yes’ are extremely distracting and bothersome. Finding it hard to even finish listening. Such a shame, I was exciting to watch all of it 😢
So much yes yes yes, it's quite irritating.. hard to understand what's being said by Marc..
See you at Tech Week 🎉
Have heard that anesthesiologists are the "frat stars" of the medical world
In the future we will have a "health companion AI" that logs all your health information and develops new insights, reducing the patient's own cognitive burden.
See you at Tech Week!
Few yes we can barely hear other thoughts
You guys are talking too fast and not even considering the fact that some audience are beginners
The continuous “Yes”-es are really making this video hard to listen
Impossible to listen with constant nodding:(
Is there any gpt god who can remove those yeses?🎉
The claim that self-driving cars are safer than humans simply is not true. Without regular driver intervention, Tesla FSD would crash constantly. A 99.9% success rate means at some point on nearly every trip, you will crash.
if you try hard, and I mean really hard and ignore the affirmation deluge, you may find some good nuggets in here. but don't blame yourself if you can't, it will make you cringe so hard its painful
Why you keep interrupting by saying ....' yeah '..... Very distracting!
Awesome discussion.
See You at NY Tech Week
w.r.t. the doctors' GPT-3, maybe the letters should just be shorter...?
act unregulated = establish credibility

Love the intro, very polite!
