- Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer joined Sky News Australia to discuss a growing trend where lifelong Democrat voters are turning to the Republican Party.
His remarks come as the US federal election is less than a month away.
“Basically everyone that I know in my family who is not a crazy leftie - who is at least a reasonable, pragmatic, centrist, moderate, minded person - they’re basically all voting for Donald Trump,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

It’s so inspiring when you hear people wake up because it gives us all hope that humans are not sheep. As a Canadian who voted most of her life for a party that went authoritarian under Trudeau, I held back my vote when he rose in the party because I did my homework. I remember being upset with my sister who said she voted for him because he was the son of Pierre and was good looking……we had many heated discussions on how one should vote…..today she hates him because of what he’s done to the country and how he’s turned the party into a Marxist ideology. Perhaps Biden had to win in 2020 so Trump would be viewed in a different light at home and abroad. He’s a brave man and we pray he wins with a big margin next month.
