My father killed himself when I was 7, I was abandoned by my mother, my grandparents raised me, my grandfather died 6 months ago when I was 22, my cat died 3 months ago. My grandmother is the last one left.
Even though Adam has left TDG, the band still stays faithful to the punk-rock style that I've always admired. True, Adam's songs were truly emotional and tragic, and personally, Life Starts Now or One X are my favourite(s), but there's no denying in that this album, has maintained TDG's fame of being punk-rock, and even reflected the traditional melody and rhythm of their older albums. Great band.

The only songs I liked were Better Place, Blow Me Wide Open, Let Me Live My Life, and Fairy Tale. Everything else was a snore fest. They will probably get better considering this is only their first album.

This song made me think up a story about a villain who tries to redeem himself. He doesn’t understand why, but he always gets blood on his hands even when he never meant it. All it takes is one mistake and then his past comes spiraling in and takes everything away from him. Despite his attempts to redeem himself, he is now alone again.

I respect Matt to the fullest extent because he has a lot on his plate and Adam is one of the best singers in history. So for him to take the torch and keep tdg going was huge. Unfortunately I and people like me who grew up on one-x and the other classics have our expectations way too high, so Matt better bring it with this next album.

Matt was in a band called My Darkest Days before he became the leading member of Three Days Grace. He was in Darkest Days from 2005 to 2013. If you note in those videos, Matt's voice is soft and calming, and he has short, bleached hair. He sings and plays along with his band to create a unique identity for each song. Here in Three Days Grace, Matt just feels like he is copying Adam, and every song is just so simplified. Adam, Barry, Neil and Brad made their songs chemically complex. Each song was crafted to be different. To tell stories that reflected on the band's lives, mainly Adam's life. With Matt here, he forms a story to the songs and albums, but everything else just feels so simplified. Edit in 2022: I got this information from a video regarding Matt trying to be Adam's replacement. I think most of it clicked because Matt dyed his hair black and let it grow long like Adam's, he started getting raspy with his voice, and he kind of dressed like him regarding the leather jacket and cool black outfits. They used a video from My Darkest Days where Matt was singing softly, and he didn't look like he was trying to fit in at all.

As someone who has tried to commit suicide and in fact still thinks about it many times, I just want to tell you, although it may not help much, that it was not your fault, nothing was your fault, she just wanted to end her pain and I'm very sure she wouldn't want you to blame yourself for something that isn't yours. I am very sorry for your loss and I really hope that one day you can move on without feeling guilty, because just as your friend did not deserve to end up, you do not deserve to carry the guilt either and I am sure that she loved you very much and would want to see you well.

Matt was in a band called My Darkest Days before he became the leading member of Three Days Grace. He was in Darkest Days from 2005 to 2013. If you note in those videos, Matt's voice is soft and calming, and he has short, bleached hair. He sings and plays along with his band to create a unique identity for each song. Here in Three Days Grace, Matt just feels like he is copying Adam, and every song is just so simplified. Adam, Barry, Neil and Brad made their songs chemically complex. Each song was crafted to be different. To tell stories that reflected on the band's lives, mainly Adam's life. With Matt here, he forms a story to the songs and albums, but everything else just feels so simplified.
Edit in 2022: I got this information from a video regarding Matt trying to be Adam's replacement. I think most of it clicked because Matt dyed his hair black and let it grow long like Adam's, he started getting raspy with his voice, and he kind of dressed like him regarding the leather jacket and cool black outfits. They used a video from My Darkest Days where Matt was singing softly, and he didn't look like he was trying to fit in at all.

As someone who has tried to commit suicide and in fact still thinks about it many times, I just want to tell you, although it may not help much, that it was not your fault, nothing was your fault, she just wanted to end her pain and I'm very sure she wouldn't want you to blame yourself for something that isn't yours. I am very sorry for your loss and I really hope that one day you can move on without feeling guilty, because just as your friend did not deserve to end up, you do not deserve to carry the guilt either and I am sure that she loved you very much and would want to see you well.
