- OMG i cannot believe i let my Mom and Dad take off my makeup... my Dad literally snatched my wig off. march 31st is Transgender Day of Visibility and i will be celebrating my Trans identity all month long. i get asked so many question about my family especially my parents. if they are supportive? how i came out? what they think of me? i wanted to sit down and showcase what a supportive POC lgbtq+ family looks like. i love them so much i truly am so grateful to have such loving amazing parents :)

Seeing your dad take your braids out brings back a faint memory that I have of my dad combing the tangles out of my hair when I was a little girl. He was always in and out of my life and till this day I don’t speak to him. But that one memory popped in my brain and i am glad to have remembered it. You’re blessed to have such a loving father, please never take that for granted. 😭❤️

My family will never be as supportive of me as they were before started my transition... I started transitioning three years ago and my family still doesn’t even try to use my preferred pronouns.. I have three cousins who support me fully and that’s about it... My mom won’t even try and I live with her.. and my siblings just don’t give a fuck. And that’s all okay... because regardless I’m going to do what makes me truly happy.
