    We are having an issue with setup. New Hikvision NVR ordered ds-7716ni-i4/16p, ccameras are IP8M-T2669EW Amcrest. NVR will arrive Wednesday.

    Hi Good night, can i use DS-2CD1653G0-IZ in the expert mode, with the 7608 or 7616 NVRs.
    My experience is i can only set the basic (normal mode) motion settings, i.e. sensitivity. However when i url into the camera the expert mode is avaliable, but since it don't show up in the NVR it seems as though it does not work when configured on the camera, i.e. the 1-8 areas and percentage adjustment.

      Good morning Clement! If you make sure the camera itself and the NVR is running the latest firmware. Is it motion detection you are setting or another detection method like intrusion detection?

      I really want to use line crossing and intrusion detection but the cameras I have (DS-2CD1653G0-IZ) only supports motion so I am trying to use them but eliminate the false triggers.
      I will check the status of the firmware, update if necessary and see if that give me the options.

    He is alive 😀😀today I had a service call...customer have a camera on his automatic gates which is not working!! On NVR saying network unreachable...camera is getting data through Ubiquiti nanostation...on the camera side the nanostation power supply is working and the camera power supply is working as well!! but when I plug the laptop to SADP I don't see that camera on the SADP(all the cameras are static...8 all together)I discovered on the AP side of the Link that the POE port is not lighting(cameras and Links are connected via ex poe port) could the AP link be the issue in this situation?

    hik guru do you have a video on how to connect a backup power supply to my current hikvision cctv camera system>loadshedding in south africa is a killer and i need my security system to be on and functioning when the power is out in the area.
    how do I know the size UPS that i need?.

    Hi Hik, I'm planning to install x3 color vu turrets (G2's) The clients router is under the stairs so all cat6 has been installed to the cupboard under the stairs running into a switch, the system will be run from the hik connect app only, my question is..Do I need a specific Nvr with the accusense cameras, or will they run fine on any Hik Nvr, and would I need the 4G wireless network access Nvr or just connect a standard Nvr to the router?

      Hi gm, any HikVision NVR will do, you only need the AcuSense NVR if the cameras aren’t AcuSense. What mp are the cameras 4 or 8mp? If they are 4MP I would recommend the ds-7604ni-k2/4p, you can see a few nvrs on our webstore
      You wouldn’t need the 4g NVR as you’ve got internet in the property already. Just an Ethernet from the router to your NVR.

      Because they are 8mp, you’ll need a more powerful NVR, they only one suitable for x3 or more 8mp cameras is the DS-7608NI-I2/8P

      There’s a 4ch that supports x2 8mp’s but not 3, it won’t be able to cope

    Hi followed your video on setting up a Hikvision NVR ( thanks for sharing ) It all seems to work okay apart for I cant get a live feed or playback via a web browser. It seems like a streaming/ video problem as I can see the data on the HDD but when I try to play it, it says failed to play back and live view failed when try to look at live view. Tried different browsers, all the same. Works ok on my iPhone via Hik conect and works perfect via HDMI. The interface looks a little different ( not much ) to yours My NVR is a DS-7608NI-K2-8P and I'm only using 1 camera at the moment a Hikvision DS-2CD2385G1-I, just to get started. Pulling my hair out, I know I'm so close, but so far :D TIA

      @@alanmarklew6850 I think we all wish it would just work with all browsers, I mean, how hard can it be! The only browser it truly works with is internet explorer, if you’re on windows 10 you may need to type it into the search bar in the bottom left corner on your desktop and it should come up. From there your live view will work.

It’s not set up at the moment, was just trying to set it up on the “ bench “ so to say, but I’ll set it back up in the week with explorer and give it a try and let you know.       Hi! You can use the ivms4200 software for mac, if you search google for ivms4200 mac and download it from the official HikVision site

    I've paid a large amount of money for a hik connect system , 4 weeks down the line it's gone defective. Now the engineer will have to re format the hard drive. Apparently this is a known fault .

      Good evening Jim, you can very easily "reformat" the hard drive if that is the actual issue, yourself. I can guide you through the process if you like? I hope the engineer is coming out free of charge?

      @@HikVisionGuru yes, I am in Bournemouth and my cctv is monitoring my caravan up North. I can't get up there myself. Very annoying when is a new system.

      @@Jim_1955 Yes very frustrating indeed! As long as they are coming out free of charge then that is fine. A faulty hard drive is not a common issue, unless they have used a cheaper non surveillance type hard drive and it has already developed a fault as a result.
