PART 2 is now live on our channel!!!
please learn how to play the game before you post of a video of you 2 looking like morons not knowing how to play it at all.
Love wachting these kind of video's. I thought the game worked like this: move-unit -> do action -> next unit -> move-unit - do action, etc.. But I learned from your video you can move multiple units first, and THEN decide to attack. Which makes it much easier to gain support from other units. Hope you 'll return to HATE and finish an entire chronichle guys!
I wish we had time! Maybe we will bring it out again one day! Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for tuning in! Just a quick note that this is Part 1 of 2 for the King of the Hill scenario. We were not sure if splitting it into two would make it easier to watch for people. Part 2 will be out in a few days. ALSO in the future we will pass these sort of questions onto you through our Twitter. Follow us! @TTKTeam or TabletopKnights
Hey there, just discovering your channel with those Hate videos. Your production quality is top notch and I really like all the effort you put into making things as clear as possible for the viewer. I recieved my copy of the game but am still looking for people willing to get into this kind of games haha (The old boardgaming curse!!) , so in the meantime I guess I'll just vicariously enjoy it with your videos! Congrats again on the great work!! :)
Thank you heaps for the kind words. Finding people to game with is the hardest and one of the perks of having a RUclips channel with 5 or 6 members! 4 of those members I met online and are becoming good friends with. You should head online and try find some gamers in your area!!! Thanks again
We can't wait to play. We are all enjoying your campaign, kodos to you and your crew!
Thanks heaps! Just a small heads up, you cannot use Savagery as the same turn you gain them!
Hey guys great video once again. Love that someone is doing these seeing as we really need them! A couple of things i thought I'd mention. When the defenders youngblood 2 was killed by the attackers warriors 3 and 4, the youngblood should have rolled 2 defence dice as it had high ground. Pushing is definitely 2 dice not 2 automatic swords as the cube symbol indicates a dice roll.
Hey Michael. Thanks for pointing out that mistake for the Youngblood. Little things like that can be easy to miss! Next video should be up in 2 days or so! Thanks for your support man
I've played this map already and I think the guys played it correctly here (Or at least we did the same), the "hill" is just one flat plateau of the same level. Other maps have multiple levels displayed on the scenario dashboard. Still though some rules are tricky to follow in this game without FAQs :)
@@Sasquatch905 yeah you are right, its all one level. I have the 3d plateus so i was confused i guess. Have you played the hidden camp scenario?
@@TabletopKnights yeah keen as! Do a mecenary scenario
Savagery tokens can't be spent on the roll that generates them. Part 5 of resolving attack is generating results. The forge can be used at any time before generating results. Page 17
Oh wow did not remember this rule at all. That will be a big help in the future. Thanks!
All the extra savagery is surely gonna make a difference when you get to village upgrades.
Like this game but we really need a proper FAQ asap!
I read it as Push going off automatically without a need to roll and attack. The first sentence doesn't indicate rolling an attack to push. The second sentence indicates rolling an attack if a model is pushed off a plateau.
I think everytime we push we push off a plateau? Not sure cant remember
Round 1 Turn 1 - you can't use savagery generated by an attack die roll to then activate feats of savagery that then modifies that same die roll page 17 in rulebook.
Thanks for that. Had a few people already mention that one to us! We continue to do that in part two but wont do that when we record again thats for sure.
Great video guys! Starting my Chronicle tomorrow with some friends. Still learning so it's good to see your videos coming online. Just a quick note with regards to resources, I think you need to spend an action to recover from trees. Meaning you unfortunately would not be able to push or attack too?
Hey Scott. Thanks heaps for the comment. I actually found the spot in the rulebook that explains your question. "Harvesting a tree - Any Figure that ends its move standing a tree space may freely take one of its resources and add it to their pool". So a player does not need to spend an action to do that. Thanks again for tuning in!
Ah great! Missed that, I'll make sure to keep that in mind as I'll be playing Sarassa. Looking forward to part 2.
@@Sasquatch905 Yeah page 13 and 14. Another commenter said the same thing as it was listed as that in the beta rulebook
Hi guys. I've been waiting for this! Thanks for the gameplay with the lovely graphics. Super easy to follow! I think I spotted a problem at 31:30. The champion is moved and harvests a tree. That counts as an action doesn't it? He shouldn't then be able to push, right? I've only got the beta rules on me. It lists harvest as an action.
Also, do you have to be in the tree or just adjacent? Beta rules say you must be in. Thanks again for the video!
Hey Chris thanks heaps for the comment and questions. Ill copy and paste a rule from the main rule book, "Harvesting a tree - Any Figure that ends its move standing 'ON' a tree space may 'FREELY' take one of its resources and add it to their pool." Key words are on and freely. Weird that the beta rule is weird but i guess they changed it. Thanks again.
Push is 2 dice attack. Defender rolls their standard defence dice.
Can any unit use push or just those with the indicated upgrade?
Great gameplay. Cant wait for round 2. Do you guys have the extra tribes? Really interesting in seeing how Um'tull and Vore'nash play out. The game has a lot of nice mechanics, and seems to give players many options to take, having a good balance between good/bad luck (which can be mitigated to a point) and tactics.
We didnt get the extras sadly. We just have the core box with the standard 4 or 5 tribes. We wanted to keep our first Chronicle a little more simple. So we are trying to do more simple scenarios to begin with etc. Thanks for tuning in. The next episode will be up this time tomorrow!
Been waiting sooo long. Part 1?!! Nooo.
Haha, well part 2 will be up in a day or two. It would of ended up being a hour and 30 minutes video, is that something you prefer for future note?
Tabletop Knights I think both phases together would be good. Keep it all together and simple. I would say the second part is equally as fun and important as the gameplay itself.
@@andrewmiller2236 Ok that is great feedback. Part 2 has the second part of the game and then rolling for scars!
Very keen to see the whole thing. Scars and all.
@@donstaunch7895 Uploading it now. Itll be live in just over 24 hours!
Thanks for the gameplay, I learned a lot from you guys… 2 hits over KO always kill or is just in this mission? I didn’t remember that in the roulebook.
That was specifically related to his Brutality Secret Mission. Certain mission cards and scenarios have an overkill achievement. Otherwise extra hits normally don’t have any additional effects.
42 minutes, wow! I also backed this game, but i had no idea about the round duration. I was hoping for ~20minutes per territory. Although it doesnt matter because i see it plays reeeeaaaally good. After having more experience, will you play with The sarassa?
Hey thanks for the comment! This is only part 1 of 2 as well by the way. The actual video was 1 hour and 30 minutes but we are cutting it into two in the hopes that it's easier for viewers to watch. If you keep gaining Savagery it really prolongs the game a lot. That plus thinking for a few minutes before each move, then rolling for scars and adding the scars, it's a long process. But a fun one! We plan to finish this 1v1 Chronicle then we will add more players into the mix and perhaps we may use Sarassa!
I think once people have more experience in the game you could probably smash out a battle in 30-45 mins... being new to it, and taking the time to talk to camera and stuff tends to pad it out a fair bit
I played the same scenario and due to some lucky/unlucky dice rolls it was all over in 30 minutes. Defenders team lost 6 figures ko'd. Attacker more on hill. Game over.
I really wish I didn’t miss backing this game. Do we know if it will be available on their website or anything?
Not sure if it will be on the website or not actually. All i know is that people have always said there will never be a retail version. Knowing the Board Game community, itll be sold second hand. Id probably go on your local board gaming Facebook group and see if anyone will sell theirs.
some stores were able to back this as a retailer pledge. my FLGS backed 6 core boxes and I preordered one. then they put the rest on the shelves for retail. I was able to pick up all the add on boxes as well, but had to pay $10 extra for each box over the $25 offered on the kickstarter. but still a very good deal
Is it me or is the dice tower frame actually flipped?
So the two overhead cams tj is on the right. But the dice cam hes on the left. We cant both reach it in certain spots.
Don't have the game yet. In this scenario you mention "pushing" can both Defender and Attacker do this? Thanks
Hey man. It just explains that you may use a push as an action and doesnt specify if its attacker or defender that can do this.
@@TabletopKnights thanks, i see that, it's probably best for attacker to try and attack over pushing, get those numbers down on that hill. Looking forward to conclusion, pretty close this far.
@@marvart Its uploading now so itll be up in about 18 hours when we release it!
@@TabletopKnights EXCELLLLLENT! HAAAAAATE!
How many more hours? HAAAAAAAATE!!!!
Looks like a solid game
7 die with your Prince against an Youngblood, and you use your re-roll??????
HAAAAAAATE!!! GOOD JOB GUYS!
Thanks man!
That will probably be the longest replenish phase ever.... haha!
@@marvart Rounds can go for a long time when you keep getting savagery. The conclusion and rolling for scars is coming in the next part!
@@TabletopKnights that's what I'm joking about, having to wait for the next vid! There great though, like the angles and rolls!
Haha yeah after next video we will start uploading them in full length. It seems to be the consensus across the board game community.
