I use AP rounds as a AT main. It does not help me with kills, but it does drags attention from heli pilots, who normally stop harassing other players and gives them time to counter. It's a strategic move, not a frag hunter move.
It's the best place to test things out, use your old title to do it. It's the smart way to do so then when you implement into your new title it'll work and not be broken on release

Welcome to modern EA, same thing happened with their version of Battlefront 2. We finally got a bunch of fun updates and the game was playable and then they cut support once people are enjoying the game
The only time I had issues fighting Dozers was in hallways or places with no elevation (like empty rooms). As long as you had some boxes or anything for elevation or even a single pillar. Flanking them for a kill was easy, especially if you ran Concussion or Incindy grenades. Position your Ranger opposite of you was also a great counter when alone.
6:00 I've always ran AP ammo. It's always been useful. You can finish off low health vehicles, which can sometimes save you or your team mates life, or you can harass them and make them f*ck off.
I wonder if they're testing their bullet penetration tech like they had in BFV. In 2042 basically the only other thing you can penetrate is cockpit windows (and AP rounds are slightly better at this) Team switching would be good. I liked using the !assist command in BF4 when the other team was getting dominated. And on Karkand I'd often try to switch to the attacking team at the beginning of the round because I found it more fun :)
I've always used the team switch to hop on a side that is missing players or is losing so players bail. I'm here to play not some 7 year old thinking k/d is the only thing that matters.
Their should be a team switch option given but to the losing team. So if your team is winning by 150 points with 3/4 flags capped for x time a team switch button is given on the menu for those that like to give others a sporting chance.
Separating assets into different modes on a game which already had limited assets to begin with has to be the absolute dumbest thing I’ve ever seen to try to be pulled off in a video game. They should’ve put everything from portal in the main mode a long long time ago.

I absolutely dig the new XP rewards. Especially the air drop. Will benefit those legends that take the heli and go flying around the objective dropping ppl to help the team.
Coming from BF1, the notification in the HUD for pilots of air vehicles being killed outright is a god send honestly. Being able to quickly react to a notification and take control of a pilotless air vehicle is an essential skill to be quite honestly, and not everyone has that awareness.
i don't even use dozer but his shield should be on his back when he's not using (not extended like when u have it out) giving him a lil bit of cover from behind.

"Aligned collision on the Pondhawk to minimize players hovering on top of it." I don't think this is to stop riding on top of the Pondhawk (it's possible but unstable), but to improve the appearance in-game = less of a gap between players and the Pondhawk ? I could be wrong !

I still bought it I didn't play it I waited and waited for them to update and they started fixing this game which made me very grateful for spending my money for this game! I've been playing battlefield since battlefield 1942 PC. On console now .. PS4 pro to PS5. The only thing that brought me to the PS5 was hell let loose👉🏻 But I still love battlefield! I always run AP ammo as spare on plus menu on maps with vehicles, you never know when a low health one will pass near you. Also on LMGs when playing engineer in case I run out of rockets.
How did it take this long to fix? Dozer was OP from the start. Nothing took down that shield. It should do something, but not be invincible. Instead of Dozer being that powerful, it would have made more sense if it was Crawford, and the Mounted Vulcan. At least that thing didn't move. I use AP round all the time BUT only on Portal servers Mild HC more beacouse AP rounds only there can make some damage. On Dice servers AP rounds have too little damage , so no one is using it. On HC srvers AP rounds are good to have and you can make damage to vehicles

It was really only OP on the circle of hell variant of El Alamein because you could cruise in the clouds. But if an enemy jet came after you there was little to nothing you could do.
NGL that dozer changed is just a skill issue you can't turn fast with the shield anyways.. it's easy to just bunny hop past a dozer and just gun him in the side... but it's whatever only thing nice is his passive mainly.
You're not always in a position where you can bHop past and blast his ass. Sometimes you're in tightly enclosed spaced, and the mofo' jump scares you and kills you before you can do anything.

Those Dozer changes as SOOOO OVERDUE. Another thing reminding me how little they cared about the player base that was asking for something like that for 3 YEARS now. They even mocking us by acknowledging this by stating "...over the years with BF2042, have consistently seen players raise concerns about Dozer's efficiency...". They should have added ... "and so far, we chose to completely ignore them"... This honestly makes me really angry. And I think this anger is justified.
They should add into the game that if you lose your vehicle within 5 minutes of getting one, you're barred from spawning into a vehicle for the rest of the game. Time and time again I see people spawning into jets so they can get into a normally unreachable camping spot and crash them, or getting an armored vehicle and drive right into a cramped cap without any maneuverability and getting blown up.
I like the idea, but maybe an exponential backoff cooldown. First time? Maybe just bad luck, so only increase cooldown time by factor of 2. If it keeps happening in quick succession, then keep increasing the cooldown for that player. Truly bad players might only get 3 attempts, max.
Hey Ghost, good explained video about patch notes. I wish dice would let us have the ability to have a vehicle locked when you are using it with a squad mate, because other team mates will jump into it when you are repairing it and take off with it which is very annoying

Yeah it's hardly going to make a difference. Nobody is going to run AP ammo all the time with reduced mag size on the off hand chance they encounter Dozer. His shield is so dumb anyway, why does it kill you with one hit?

Update from a Dozer player. He doesn't seem any different to me. Just played a couple of rounds and had 10-20 melee kills a round. I PTFO very aggressive with smoke, and the changes seems to have no effect on my playing style. Sorry for all the Dozer haters.

No tv and lis change they didnt remove all damage on helicopter coming from ground (like turret lmg light gunner and nughtbird) not add a under radar protection against stinger not reduce recoiless muzzle velocity. I run AP rounds with the machine gun all the time you'd be surprised how many vehicles I destroy or harass

In my experience he only had to close 5m of that 10mtrs to actually get the kill.

No tv and lis change they didnt remove all damage on helicopter coming from ground (like turret lmg light gunner and nughtbird) not add a under radar protection against stinger not reduce recoiless muzzle velocity. Not reduced lock weapon like stinger and aa solflam range..Dice pls fix that clunky attack heli is so sad seen like this.. flying on fucking spawn all the time never push or be important for the match. Not add flying vehicle like apache on breaktrought or rush.. no Rush 2.0 great again gamemode. This is where to work DICE. Maps are trash make gamemode good pls
tbh im a pilot and firstly, stingers operate via THERMAL signature
but aside from realism, it would basically make the stinger useless because every good pilot knows how to fly low haha
@gkammy and the range of soflam+ rockets isn't that long. Pilots can easily skip to 550m when targeted as the inf. Are no where near as mobile.
@@aesemon5392 tbh the range doesn’t matter because every good pilot will just fly to a point where they are safe. (Or just keep their flares ready)
