I remember when I was a kid I wanted the 1st edition Crow. Every comic book store I went to was sold out. It was obvious the Crow was based on his life. I think we can all identify with certain aspects of his life, with me it's the lonely childhood.
First edition ? Jesus, it was a tiny first printing and barely any original Caliber 1st editions still exists. It was a Detroit and Greater Michigan and Canadian phenomenon and it was a very limited print. Printing was so expensive then. You must have been from Detroit to have even heard of it. It was not until the whole run was bound together as a single run that people wanted the original individual editions/issues(first prints)- because that was the comic book boom. Action Comics and Detective Comics and the Marvel 60's comics had jumped to ridiculous values and everyone thought their POS in a mylar bag(MINT- NEVER READ, IMMEDIATELY BAGGED AND SEALED).
. love this story. I loved crow since i was kid , and in some way , same kind of pain has been on me too , so i kind of cryed over my crappy destiny in front... Thank you James... .
