I'm 67 and I could demonstrate how to get up out of a bed of dead honey locust tree branches which have 2" thorns, with no one around at all. No cell phone. Every move was a poke somewhere. It seemed impossible, but I finally decided I could start throwing branches away from me so that the little area around me wasn't so thorny. Then I was able to locate a thick enough branch to help with leverage, but I had to get up on an upward slope. I felt SO POWERFUL for getting myself out of that predicament that day. I was glad for the muscle tone I had acquired. I had dozens of holes over my body, but I'm here!
I am 70 and have arthritis in my hips. I often feel that my legs will buckle under me. I had an incident as I was coming out of my bathroom into the bedroom where my feet just didn’t work and down I went. Very heavily but nothing broken, but the whole thing frightened me as I have a fear of falling and hitting the bath or toilet with my head. But I just waited until my heart stopped racing before I did anything. Then when I tried to get up I just didn’t have the strength. But as I was not hurt (though I had a massive bruise on my knee the next day) I decided there was no rush to get up. I was near my cupboard where pillows and blankets are kept so I just pulled a pillow and blanket out from the lower shelf and made a bed on the floor and had a nap for about half an hour. Then I was feeling better and was able to get myself up by holding on to the shelves until I was standing. Falling over is a damn scary thing.
I have had three pretty bad falls, I have had one knee replacement and need another one. I am unable to get on my knees. It’s impossible for me to get up that way. I fell outside and waited 2 hours for a neighbor to come home and get me up. My girls said I had to get a thing to wear around my neck or an iPhone watch. I got the watch, it detects a fall and I set it up to call the police, my son and my daughter. I feel so much better now.
This is my tip. My husband & I are in middle seventies. In January this year we made a new rule. Never to go anywhere in house or garden without our mobile phone. This came about after My Husband had a fall. I used that first option to get him up as he has had one knee replaced. Stay upright y’all☘️
Excellent tip, one in which I am going to adopt' starting today. I am just turning 70. Mind is still sharp but limbs are weakening and I have nasty arthritis in both knees. My fear these days is the fear of falling! Mobile phone from here on in!

How about if you fall down in the street, with nothing nearby to help you got up! That happened to me…..after a while a kind man managed to help me up! But it was a very worrying time
Your colleague modeling the fall recovery has an infectious smile. When she got up into the chair and smiled at the camera, the only polite thing to do was smile back at her. Thanks for starting my day off right.
I was, against medical advice, living alone when I had a TIA, which caused me to fall, breaking my favorite small table and dining chair. Oh, and three ribs. Fortunately I had recently subscribed to a “ panic button” service and got a 911 address so was able to get help on the way.
I had poliomyelitis as a child, and was in a frame, so, as I age muscle atrophy is becoming worse and my weaknesses are all encompassing. Your posts are SO HELPFUL and I watch them all with much gratitude. I fell heavily, off to hospital, fractured femur with a through and through, 9 pins in my knee and metal brace in the femur... left home in ambulance thinking it was perhaps a ligament or hamstring. Never got back home for just over 3 months. So THANK YOU for such helpful information...
I caught my slipper on the end of the rug and flew across the bedroom, landed on my knees and then down I went. After clearing my head of what just happened, I righted myself and used the 2nd method you showed. It took some time but it worked well. Thanks for video.
Thanks so valuable to teach everyone I first learned I could not get up having sitting down on a Rock years ago. Have fallen several times had to figure how to get up myself. Thank God I was able to and not seriously hurt and Alone. This is important information!
I've actually done the chair method outside. Where I live restaurants have outside seating. I fell, on the ground, was able to grab a chair and get up. So, yes, the chair thing works. Luckily I was not hurt by the fall.
I’m nearly 75, had tin replacement 6 weeks ago, fell up the small step, my husband and daughter in law where with me and tried to help me up I could not lean onto my knew knee yet and my other leg is a bit weak, eventually I scooted across to the step rail and there is a chain hanging on other side I grabbed both and hubby pushed me up from behind, thankfully I made it up, the new knee is still a bit weak and I couldn’t get my legs to work, was a bit of a shock for me. I wear an Apple Watch and it picked up immediately that I had fallen, I said I had fallen but was ok. I think the watch is a marvellous idea for us oldies, we both have one each, it has a walkie talkie feature and works for quite a distance, you do need the phone nearby but if it’s stuck in a pocket etc the watch is quicker and easier to use for us.
2nd text. Continuation of 1st text. Getting up was very difficult because I didn't have much leg and foot strength. If I had known about the 2nd video method I could gave grabbed enough cushions and pillows to build a staircase and push myself backwards and up onto the folding chair. (The chair I was moving and the chair with the gel cushion both swiveled and one also rocked so neither was good to get up on.) Unfortunately, falling put me into minor shock, then I panicked, and then I cried. I finally realized I had to calm myself before I could get myself up. So the presenter's advise to stay calm and assess the situation is right on the mark. I have one piece of further advice to help. Look around your home. Pretend you have fallen. Assess a location and look for ways to get up off the floor if you fall. Do this in multiple locations. See yourself falling and getting up in each location. Know ahead of time how you will do it. Get in the habit of keeping your cellphone nearby, just in case. I now have a rollator walker which has helped me keep my balance. I'm also able to walk better and longer so my legs are getting stronger. And if I get tired, I can sit on it and rest.
I recently fell hard, but I couldn’t use either method because I had badly sprained my wrist. My knees are also bad and can’t kneel on them. I had to wait for my husband to get home. He tried to get me up, but failed, so he called 911. They were able to get me up and take me to the ER for X-rays and evaluation.
I've had several falls, some quite painful. To me the idea of falling is very scary. Your recovery methods are excellent. My problem is that I can't crawl on my knees because its too painful, especially on hardwood floors. I've called 911 on two occasions. Advice: Always use a walker or rollator. Move slowly and carefully. Exercise your upper body to build arm strength. If you've got strong arms your chances of pushing yourself up are much improved.
Really great advice. After a fall you do panic. Now I have a plan. Glad you mentioned about alerting people around you. I always wear a whistle on a lanyard, having balance issues. Thanks again.
It was good to see a video that didn't show an obviously strong person demonstrating how to get up. These demonstrators looked like they were really working to get up off the floor. When I fell I found thound that I had to stop and think of how to make each move as I tried to get up. Fortunately, 2 daughters came to my rescue as they came to visit just after I slid off the bed.
Last fall I lay 5 hours waiting for ambulance to arrive with help, my problem is i can't kneel and hip problem ,my solution was to buy one of these blow up beds and when I fell again my Granddaughter arrived and managed to get me to roll me onto the automatic inflated bed plugged it in and up I went and as it was placed next to the settee found this allowed me to get upright again , there is some very good advice on this video that I'll put into practise if I'm unfortunate enough to fall again .
I've turned 80 now, but I don't sit on my Arse all day doing nothing . Always keep active, On my bycycle every day (NOT A E BIKE EITHER ) I want exercise, sometimes pulling a trailer, loaded up with timber for the wood stoves . Inevitably if you have a bike you will fall off it, touch wood I have never hurt myself, apart for a few scratches. Always keep walking, and keep your mind active. A lot of old peaple bring on health problems ,because of their lifestyle. I am a retired bricklayer started at 15 ,in my lifetime I've lifted some tonnage and I mean F/N tonnage ,but for the grace of the divine ime still in one piece .☺☺☺☺☺☺
Great information for the elderly and those with balance issues. It's so important to not panic if you're alone and fall. Getting up again is doable as long as you focus on every movement and stay calm. The older you are, the more likely you are at risk of failing. Thanks for posting these videos, I'm glad I subscribed to your channel. Do you have any videos that show someone how to help a person get up from a fall when they weigh more than you? That would be very helpful. Bless you for your time and compassion. More people need to learn about dealing with falling no matter their age.
02:07 This is interesting because most of we elderly cannot kneel due to the knees not being able to take the pressure for even a few seconds. However, it is easier if we have to, to be on all fours. The 'knee thing' is a trip. It is like one day you wake up and find out that you can no longer rest your weight on one or two knees on the floor anymore. It's so weird. It is a truly like, wait a minute...when did that start~?
When I worked in Florida, I began to believe that most seniors could just not bend their knees. Then I moved to Hawaii where even 90 year olds can do full squats. Clearly, not losing the ability to bend your knees has to do with the activities you perform in your 60's, 70's and 80's. If you never squat, then this really would be a lot harder.
@@neurolasticinstitute424 And just what are they squatting for in Hawaii? 😆 It might speak to weather and barometric pressure too, then - that definitely deserves a checking out. Some days my knees are completely free for movement (not kneeling w pressure on them though) and other days they quite literally will not bend past a certain point.
I tripped and fell outside on the top landing of the stairs going into a store. I landed on all fours, hands and knees. This was a difficult position to get out of. I had to roll over so I was sitting on the top step then I could use the railing to pull myself up. Good advice here.
When we I fell, I broke my elbow & and I couldn't get up! I managed to drag myself to my apartment door, then I opened the door & shouted til someone came from another apartment & they called for help!
Great help, thank you! My problem is I cannot kneel as my knees are bone on bone so painful. Having strength in my arms is my help to pull myself up hanging/pulling on to something stable & trying to get up with at least one foot on the floor to start with. I carry my mobile everywhere at all times. Once I fall though, I take a couple of mins to assess my “situation” before seeing what’s necessary!? One lives n learns even at 78 yrs old! Blessings to us all! 😊
I fell on the road while walking my Golden Retriever....it was v difficult.. I had to ask a passer by to hold his leash and I had to go on all fours and stand ..
I wish I had seen this about 6 to 7 weeks ago. I was dragging a chair across my living room rug, lost my balance, and fell. I tried getting up too soon and wasn't able to do so. Then I started crying which didn't help at all. My knees hurt too much to on them. Then I spied my gel cushion on another chair. Laying on my side, I was able to push the 1st chair out of the way and grab the cushion. By putting the cushion under my knees, I was able to pull a folding chair close enough to use the 1st video method to get into the folding chair
I have an 2,4,8in Step Thing.I used that with my Walker to GET up very Rough..Make sure IF u screw up u can get UP and Not hurt yourself doing it. I cleaned my furnace and Fell getting UP .FOOLISH 😁😁😁😁
I have had to try and get myself up from the floor and my husband was not in the house. I have no phone since I cannot hear on them Anyway. I had to stay on the floor a long time and finally was able to scoot myself across the room to a recliner chair. My problem was that I am so weak in my arms that I could not pull myself up off the floor. That is a terrifying situation to be in I can assure you. I've watched your vids and applied it to myself mentally and knew they would not work for me. Just too weak in my arms and both knees very weak, one with a knee replacement.
The answer is don't fall! If you are a senior citizen and your balance isn't what it once was or if you have any kind of long term injury don't put yourself at risk! Use a walking aide! A walking stick(cane) a walker with wheels. Don't let other's opinions stop you. Your well being is far more important! People who mock those of us who use such devices have already had a fall- a mental fall!!!!
If you fall near a bookcase full of books, crawl or roll over to it and grab a lower shelf to pull the upper part of your body to a seating position with your legs still lying on the floor. Then, remove a book from the shelf, lean to one side and shove the book under one butt cheek. Do the same with a second book under the other cheek. You should now be sitting on two books that are side-by-side beneath your butt on the floor. Then, repeat the process with two more books. Keep doing this until the height of the books from the floor is the same height as a footstool. At this point, you might be strong enough to rest one hand on a higher bookshelf and pull yourself to a standing position. If not, keep stacking books beneath you until the stack is knee-high (aka the height of a chair seat). Note: Using larger books rather than smaller books works better. That's why it is beneficial to store large books on the lowest shelf of a bookcase. If you are prone to falling often, carry a charge phone with you at all times. However, it might be possible to roll or crawl your way to whenever your phone is located. Keeping your phone charging cradle on tables that are close to the floor will make it easier to reach the phone if you are still on the floor. Also, place the phone cradle near the front edge of the table instead of at the back edge of the tabletop near the wall. And if you really want to go the extra mile, keep a bag of trail mix or energy bars on your person or on lower shelves here and there around the house. Plus, bottles of water. If you are injured in a fall, you might appreciate them while waiting for help to arrive. Hopefully, you won't need to use the potty while you are waiting. Then again, wearing adult diapers might be an option.
a very frail senior helped me up using a book then a larger book, and finally a low footstool until i was up high enough to get one leg at time on the floor then she supported me while i sjifted to the bed.
I am 83 (soon to be 84) and a year ago I fell outside in the snow. There was nothing to hold onto and the snow made it impossible to crawl but I had my cell phone and called a neighbor. Never leave home without your cell phone.
I had two falls about 6 years apart. I needed help getting up and I wasn’t thinking clearly. Fortunately my daughter rescued me both times. Looking back I didn’t have the traction I needed to get up. The soles of my footwear slipped on the floor as I tried to get up. I should have thought to remove my shoes but I didn’t. BTW, my shoes were not normally slippery; it was the additional pushing somewhat latterly that made them slip. Among other issues I have imbalance for past 12 years due to a severe head injury. PT helps me stay upright.
That lady is not in her 80's so her legs are still strong to push up her knee, so is that young man. Legs get weak as we age and sometimes you grab onto something but pushing up with your legs is hard,
I an in my mid seventies and about 2 years ago started doing squats, foot position makes a difference, watch a video or consult a PT when starting out. It strengthens the thighs which helps a lot when getting off the floor.
I am 75, living alone in one of the last houses in a village. Fifteen days ago I fell in a narrow coridor paved with ceramics (cold) haveing no pants., and after three hours started to think that i'll be there until next day. After 3 hours i finally used 2 steps leading into a next room to stand up. Since than I try to have a mobile phone by me all the time..
I fall frequently. I am unable to kneel, so getting onto all fours is impossible for me. I have to sit with my legs forward and ‘walk’ my bottom backwards. I have tried the staircase method but don’t have any strength in my arms due to wasted muscles. All I can do is shuffle on my bottom to get to the phone. I would welcome any advice.
I fell , hurt my knee Bad . There were game wardens there, and I said " this is going to hurt" . People were there to help and yes I took were I was, and my experience riding Mountain bike and falling toward a bush and were I fall helped .
I believe that in this day and age, we should not always try to get up of a fall just in case some internal damages. Have a mobile phone always closed to you. Keep still and call for help. If no phone at hand, scream your lungs out until somebody hears you, day or night. I am 82 years old. God bless you all and keep you safe.
These are great instructions and perfect for someone capable of thinking through the steps, or following instructions from a helper. My mom's husband is in the throes of deepening dementia (I suspect Lewy Body because of his extreme rigidity) and it is all but impossible to get him to follow directions. She has had to call the squad numerous times.
I have had falls most of my life because of knee issues. Now with two knee replacements and one arm I have little strength in it’s hard to use these methods. What I’ve had to do recently is scoot on my bottom till I could get to my couch or bed then get pillows to put my knees on if I can’t get up using the couch or the bed because of my week arm then I use anything I can that isn’t as tall as what I’m getting up on and use that to put one knee on while I use the other to push myself up on the couch or bed similar to the second method but not using my arms.
Like a few who commented, having one knee replacement and one shoulder problem makes it difficult to get up after a fall. Am 76 & have had several falls last few years, mostly when out walking. No cushions ir chairs around made it scary and was thankful for people who came to help. Definitely carry a phone to call for help.
Well, I live alone and my knees both hurt so much that kneeling is out of the question. I've had to use my arms to try to get up whilst trying to place my bottom as near to the seat as possible. Then after trying to lift my butt up whilst fighting sliding off. It often takes me 10 minutes to use my arms to lift me enough to sit for a few minutes before I actually stand up. So, I am going to try the cushion method the next time I fall. Here's hoping it works. Thanks.
I fell in the shower recently whilst using a supposedly non-slip mat and it scared me. Fortunately I fell on my side and not my back. The next thing I did was order a pair of non-slip shower shoes from Amazon which I use constantly. I am still careful but at least I do not dread falling which at my age of eighty eight could be catastrophic.
I'm 71 years old and had I stroke this last February. The day I can home from the rehab facility I fell on the floor next to my bed. I have little feeling on my complete right side and could not get up. Also I had both of my knees replaced and it's quite painful to be on them. Needles to say it took a long time to get up because my right side is pretty much useless. What do you suggest? I am afraid to go anywhere or do anything because of falling.
Thank you so much for this video! I fall quite alot amd have an emerency button and the fire dept guys show up. I only weigh 108 lbs. and have no stength at all.
I just found your videos and subbed them. They are excellent. I scoffed at the simple 4 leg exercises until I tried them to find out how out of shape at 68 I am. There hard but work. Just doing the full set my legs are feeling it. I will incorporate them into my daily life. We take the simple act of walking for granted but when you retire and are no longer active everything just falls apart. Very grateful for this channel thank you!
You are so correct about no longer being active and everything falling apart. I heard a good tip recently about standing up and/or getting out of bed. The tip is that once you are in a standing position, count to 3 before beginning to walk.
Hi, I love your very informative videos. Thank you so much. Please do a video for someone who does not have the strength in their upper body to pick themselves up. What then in a case like that?
I am hampered in some of these techniques, because I have two prosthetic knees (from 2 total joint replacements on each knee). I can't kneel or squat. Any suggestions for me??
What about people who try to "help" you get up by pulling on your arms, trying to get you to a standing position? Getting on all fours I can get up, even if im just sitting on the ground working, etc. But maybe some instruction on the right way to stand by yourself once you are on all fours.
That's OK if you have two good arms. I require both shoulders replaced as I have snapped tendons and rotator cuff tears in both arms. I have been waiting for several years trying to find a surgeon who will do the operations. Because of heart problems and high diabetes readings, they will not do the operations. I may now have found a surgeon who is willing to help me. I have been told I must lose weight, I am 17 stn, and my HBA1c readings are slightly high. I have had several falls but because of my shoulder problems I can not get myself up. I had to wait one day for several hours until my wife came back from shopping to get help. I have no strength in my arms, and I also have bad arthritis in my hands. I was a very active person when I was younger but just getting out of a chair is painful now.
Sorry to hear all of that. You are correct, not everyone who watches this video can benefit. My hope is that it will benefit a few poeple who need to get off the floor.
I considered myself lucky when I fell, I was able to pull my phone down off the bench. If it happened to me now, I don't know what I'd do, my cell phone is never within reach.
I work with adapted physical education students who have various disabilities, primarily autism and CP. I have always believed that proprioception and balance can be regained, as do you. I wanted to know if you feel that your program(s) would help those students with various issues, as well as orthopedic impairments. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you!
Yes. I work with clients with those same disabilities and it does work well. Balance challenge works, even if the client is doing nothing more than struggling to maintain their balance.
@@neurolasticinstitute424 I was hoping you would say that! Thank you so much! I will continue to follow you and eventually get into your program. I need this....but so do my clients! Thank you.

I think the watch is a marvellous idea for us oldies, we both have one each, it has a walkie talkie feature and works for quite a distance, you do need the phone nearby but if it’s stuck in a pocket etc the watch is quicker and easier to use for us.
Uni
I see my spelling is a problem lol I didn’t have a tin replacement,🤣😂 I had a knee replacement
2nd text. Continuation of 1st text.
Getting up was very difficult because I didn't have much leg and foot strength.
If I had known about the 2nd video method I could gave grabbed enough cushions and pillows to build a staircase and push myself backwards and up onto the folding chair. (The chair I was moving and the chair with the gel cushion both swiveled and one also rocked so neither was good to get up on.)
Unfortunately, falling put me into minor shock, then I panicked, and then I cried.
Good advice. Thank you. I’ve watched all your videos on avoiding falls and walking properly thank you. 🤞
Very useful. Had a bad fall last night. Had to get help from the emergency services after trying for an hour to get up.
Thank You so much for this valuable information. Many Seniors need people to send us helpful information. ❤
Fortunately, 2 daughters came to my rescue as they came to visit just after I slid off the bed.
thank you!
😮
Thank you so kindly. Your sites are a wonderful life-saver. Can not thank you enough. Best to you for your thoughtfulness.
I’ve had both my knees replaced so you can’t roll onto your knees because they are metal and it huts terrible.😊
My knees can't take my weight because of old injuries !😢😢
I tripped and fell outside on the top landing of the stairs going into a store. I landed on all fours, hands and knees. This was a difficult position to get out of. I had to roll over so I was sitting on the top step then I could use the railing to pull myself up. Good advice here.
When we I fell, I broke my elbow & and I couldn't get up! I managed to drag myself to my apartment door, then I opened the door & shouted til someone came from another apartment & they called for help!
謝謝建議!我將分享給朋友,我們都是近80歲的老人。🙏
First allow your body and mind to get over any shock or pain. Second control your breathing. Then attempt to get up. X
Thank you, this could be expected in the future, so nice to hear your explanation, Cheers! 8:35
thanks for talking clearly n no music to cover it up
I wish I had seen this about 6 to 7 weeks ago.
Very good tips worth trying. Thank you.
I fall often. I have found that if I sing whatever song comes to mind,it calms me and improves my breathing until i can get help or continue my quest
God bless !❤🎉😊
a very frail senior helped me up using a book then a larger book, and finally a low footstool until i was up high enough to get one leg at time on the floor then she supported me while i sjifted to the bed.
Thank you for sharing!
When you have afoot drop and you are wearing a leg brace. It is extremely hard to get your leg flat and straight because of the brace.
I am 83 (soon to be 84) and a year ago I fell outside in the snow. There was nothing to hold onto and the snow made it impossible to crawl but I had my cell phone and called a neighbor. Never leave home without your cell phone.
Very helpful thanks I've allready used this info very sucessfully
Brilliant Advice , and great information I ❤Love it .
Glad it was helpful!
I fell , hurt my knee
Bad .
I agree, there are times when people fall without their phone.
It is good to minimize the furniture and other items and keep the routes open. Carpets can be tricky.
Very true!
Most walkers are designed for shorter people; i.e., mainly women. There are walkers made for taller people, but check.
Had a fall a couple of days ago. Fell backwards over a bollard. I just lay on my back for a bit while I figured out if I had injured anything.
What about those of us who had knees replaced and have been told NOT to kneel on our knees. It is very uncomfortable.
I can no longer crawl or pull up onto my knees and pull my body up using anything not even a chair.
I know the problem.
Yes too excruciating to put weight on knees.
New subscriber with Parkinson’s I really appreciate your advice thank you very much 😅
Thank you. Very helpful tips.
what about falling outdoors with nothing to grab hold of?
I fell in the garden, and could not use my knees. I had to use elbows to drag myself indoor on gravel and then find a cushion.😂
Wow thank you so much for posting these videos ❤so helpful love the cutie doing the demos hahaha love his smile❤
How about showing that with an 85 year old person?
That really is good to know.
Thanks.
Very good thought to get a cushion, blanket or something under you if possible.
Thank you very much
My wife, a polio sufferer crawls to the stairs and uses them to raise her body.
Good advice‼️
good clear voice n no music to cover it up
some vid - even language pronunciation got music
I'm 71 years old and had I stroke this last February. The day I can home from the rehab facility I fell on the floor next to my bed. I have little feeling on my complete right side and could not get up. Also I had both of my knees replaced and it's quite painful to be on them. Needles to say it took a long time to get up because my right side is pretty much useless. What do you suggest? I am afraid to go anywhere or do anything because of falling.
Thank you so much for this video! I fall quite alot amd have an emerency button and the fire dept guys show up. I only weigh 108 lbs. and have no stength at all.
Rather than a cell phone I carry a flask of Jack Daniel's in my bathrobe. Thus, if I fall there is no pressing treason for me to get up.
Tips: Crawl to a chair or other stable furniture. Take a hold and Get to the knees and Then stand up.
Hi, I love your very informative videos. Thank you so much. Please do a video for someone who does not have the strength in their upper body to pick themselves up. What then in a case like that?
Just say “Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up! “ 😮
I fall over constantly inside and out.
I keep my upper body as strong as possible. This way I can stand from a kneeling position.
when one has problems with their knees, without any strength in them, how can you get up?
I'd like to see this using old people as examples.
I am hampered in some of these techniques, because I have two prosthetic knees (from 2 total joint replacements on each knee). I can't kneel or squat. Any suggestions for me??
Carry your cell phone with you at all times, even in the bathroom. Sorry, I have so suggestions about getting up in your situation, unfortunately.
Yes, the second method would be best considering your situation.
You need strong arms especially for the stair method
Any suggestions for people with bad knees or bad hips??
Great,thanks.
Crawl to Stairs then Scoot up.Grab handrail then Get Up AFTER TIME SLOW !!!!
Many of us don't have stairs in our homes. but yes, that's the idea
Jim what if you've also drunk a bottle of single malt?
@@bertiewooster3326 Sit in chair or bed and don't move till morning.,.😝😝😝
@@bertiewooster3326 You feel no pain....
But the stairs are outside of my apartment, and I can’t reach the lock on the door,😢 😢😢so I can’t get out to crawl to the stairs 😢
What if you can’t get on your knees?
Great if u fall inside a building but what happens when u outside and there’s no other person is about and u fall in the road ??????
Oops I just say your new video on this! Thanks.
Thank you.
Thank you I have a birth defect and as I’m ageing I’m getting weaker a fall more your video if a big help
What if you can't kneel due to knee replacements?
What about people who try to "help" you get up by pulling on your arms, trying to get you to a standing position? Getting on all fours I can get up, even if im just sitting on the ground working, etc. But maybe some instruction on the right way to stand by yourself once you are on all fours.
It’s very hard if you have arthritic knees. Extremely painful. I also have two hip replacements which I am afraid of damaging.
@@neurolasticinstitute424 I believe it will.
What to do when you cannot get on your knees
I considered myself lucky when I fell, I was able to pull my phone down off the bench. If it happened to me now, I don't know what I'd do, my cell phone is never within reach.
Get a fanny belt and wear your phone.
One person's comment was she always carries her phone in a fannypack she wears all the time. That's a suggestion I'm adopting! 😊
I ordered a phone pouch on Amazon. I put it around my neck. There are many styles and price ranges.
