As far as the flooring in the kitchen, I would absolutely hire someone! We did and are so thankful! I couldn't believe how long it took! They were very precise when they laid the tile-huge, long process! Worth every penny. I couldn't imagine doing that by myself. If you have to put it on the back burner for now, then do so until you are ready. It's a major purchase/project-make sure it's done right and it will last you forever.
Just keep in mind that it's a work in progress, it's in it's renovation phase...it's being done, but it's not the end result. That's what I do when I'm overwhelmed with projects that need finished. As long as you put time in whenever you can it's one step closer to the end result. At least you aren't leaving things half finished like some people do. I've seen all of your progress, you guys are doing GREAT!! 😊

Maybe figure out exactly what you guys want to do with the kitchen and start hiring for that! So exciting - kitchens are my fav!!
I like how the fireplace turned out. Suggestion: I think if you got a chunky contemporary fireplace mantel and spray paint the inside the fireplace black (with fire retardant paint) it would really elevate the look! They have some on Urbandi that are very affordable. Continue to enjoy the home renovation process it looks good!
Hi Renee! Luv the updates. Have you considered placing your bookshelves on an angle for more visual impact instead of everything being so close together. The fireplace wall is huge. I like paint choices 3 & 6. What about using cement board on the fireplace, then mortar, so you'll have a smooth surface.🥰 Feel better!🎉

We had to take it all back to the bare walls to insulate and we moved stairs and walls 😵💫 It’s stressful when you’re living in the mess and there’s dust literally everywhere! It takes time and patience but it’s definitely 100% worth it when things start to come together 🙌🏼 You guys are doing a great job. Get well soon 🙏🏼
The way you are breathy reminds me of how I was post covid. This latest variant is milder overall but it tends to leave its suffers with a parting gift of a sinus infection or bronchitis according to the urgent care docs I saw. I was left with bronchitis. There is a lot of other junk going around too, my best friend has her daughter in day care and they are sick every few weeks with something new. She jokes the daughter is a "virus collector" and they have accumulated them all.
I think the fireplace would look better if the shelf is black, and the floor at the bottom is darker that way the white can be the center of attention. & if you do a darker floor it’ll look amazing!

I grew up with an outdoor pool and I highly recommend not opening the pool for the year until most of the trees have dropped their buds / seed pods (ex: helicopter seeds)!!
If you dont want to spend for the floor now, find the one you want, buy a tiny amount of pieces to buy furniture accordingly and then when you're ready you can do the entire thing :) hope that helps

I think it's worth spending more for high quality flooring even if it means waiting a bit. I'd personally install real wood floors (not vinyl) in the kitchen and sunroom that match perfectly with the floorboards in the loungeroom.
It's hard and confusing doing rooms piecemeal, but you almost have to? Dining room chairs are on order, so you move on! You have to w I really around Sales, also.

They say no rewards 😅give the kid rewards 😂😂 my kid needed extra motivation having a wet pants was not a problem for him 😂😂 he’s fully trained now. What worked for him was a sweet/ jelly and a star on a reward chart. When he got 4/5 stars after getting any liquid in the potty he got to pick a prize from a bag. The prize was like bubbles, little cars,balloons nothing crazy expensive that’s what worked for him. He gets up now even in the middle of the night if he needs to go and goes in the big toilet by himself.

I love the idea of having one goal a month for the house. When you sit down and think about everything that needs done it can be so overwhelming..
