I hope you like them. I built the HV unit for about 2 years and it was a great little unit to build. The eight of us realy put 100% into building the best units possible. Love London and am proud to have built something that will get you guys to and from work everyday for many years.

@X2K9 CAF sub-contracted the traction system of the 5000 stock to Bombardier and they fitted it with their MITRAC IGBT inverters. The 2009TS is also built by Bombardier with MITRAC traction systems hence the similar sound.
wow, back when the trains were new. And you can tell not just from the video upload date but also from the lack of grime under the doors you can see as they open/close.
@X2K9 Some of the 1967TS has already been withdrawn (I'm not sure how many, but it must be over 10 trains now), but I think some units will last until next summer.
Well on the Piccadilly line, especially at Acton Town they need to LOWER the platform by about a foot. A huge step between the platform and the floor of the train!!!
Hmm...VVVF is just becoming the major trend for railways round the globe... Soon people would forgot about those GTO trains that served us in our childhood: like the M-Train here in Hong Kong that has been serving us Hong-Kongers since 1979 and the 3094 Stock that have been serving those in New Territories and Kowloon since 1983...as for Londoners, the 1967 Stock, the 1972 Stock, the 1973 Stock for the Tube; the C Stock, the A Stock, and the D Stock for Sub-surface routes. Don't forget them...
If so many people are on the train at the last couple stops on the line (crowded), then I imagine Walthamstow Central and/or Brixton would be full of passengers.
Since the Victoria line is on the most frequent lines in the world, they usually have to wait before entering the station due to the train infront still hasn't vacated the platform yet, meaning the y have to gain speed just to decelerate again
Its like that in most places on the tube. However, now they are putting in humped platforms as they refurbish the platforms. This allows for at least part of the platform to be aligned with the floor level for wheelchair access.
tiger fists Deep Tube normally has a lower carrage, so if they do stop at a sub-surface station, they are normally a foot or two lower then the plat form. the sub-urface duesnt even fit in the deep tube tunnels so no point goin in depth.
Yes this is excellent footage. I like these trains, I just wish they alternated with the 1938s just to get some balance between the old and the new :-)
Armann and Aaryan were the first to be the final four to the first round of the first game against new haven the first world championships and two in a game with an impressive
Love these new trains. Great that they have tried to make as much use of the space as possible. As I am 6 foot 5 these are the only trains I can stand up straight in without having my head in the light fittings!!!! Love the modern look of these. Not so sure about the design they keep showing for the older deep level tubes- "The Space Tube" or whatever it is called.
watching this after a few months after my summer holidays to london, i can still feel the air breezing from my face and smelling the rails
I hope you like them. I built the HV unit for about 2 years and it was a great little unit to build.

SgtMcNasty this is my favourite tube train!, thank you so much to you and your team for making this masterpiece!

You're a legend mate
This was the first ever video of yours that I watched and I finally rediscovered it after 11 years. I love the acceleration sound of the 2009 stock
WOW! i like these trains front end better then the other trains London Underground has!
You made this video when I was born
@Suly619 The S8 is articulated. The propulsion is different. 2009TS is also a tube train, while the S8 is Overground.
those motors sound absolutely amazing

I really love this video.I was on the 2009 stock all day today and there is not dat much 1976 stock
Rode them yesterday, and noticed the sliding doors rattling in their runners. They are not wearing well...
@X2K9 Some of the 1967TS has already been withdrawn (I'm not sure how many, but it must be over 10 trains now), but I think some units will last until next summer.
I've never been on the 1967 Stock because I was born in 2012 And the 2009 Stock I love the 2009 Stock
r/youngpeopleyoutube
2:05 I love these trains too.
The start-up almost sounds like an S8 stock
Yeah they're quite similar, pretty sure it was the same company that worked on both
@captaincoolpants11 i think theirs like 12 of them now & im not really sure
you could have filmed inside the train ( r they the same inside as the new met line trains )
Nope. This is the Deep Level 2009 Stock and are shaped differently to the Metropolitan Line's S Stock Subsurface trains.
Well on the Piccadilly line, especially at Acton Town they need to LOWER the platform by about a foot. A huge step between the platform and the floor of the train!!!
@Southernrailwaysfan Thanks Mate ! & I think they Might Withdraw the 1967 Stocks soon

Nice looking trains
6:27... Did that guy say WTF to you?
BurgerMan233
Vgf.
OOF
@louisevale2 nope that not me Im not one of those people who plants C4s on station property and blow it up just like in Call of Duty.
they sound like 5000 Series CAF trains for Washington Metro.
If so many people are on the train at the last couple stops on the line (crowded), then I imagine Walthamstow Central and/or Brixton would be full of passengers.
Are these the trains with "Automatic Train Operation"?
Yes, but partially.
Yes. The only manual input is the driver is having to push a button for the train to continue it's automatic driving after finishing a stop.
Yes for stoping at station that’s how they stop at the same place :)
@X2K9 No more 1967TS just the bombardier 2009TS
5:39 I would get a head ache from that, because look how hilly that is
Awesome video mate liked + fav is there quite alot of these 2009 stock running now mate on the victoria line?
Berlin has walk-through underground trains since 1996, so why did they build trains with separate cars in 2008?
They stopped doing separated cars in 2010 made trains and later.
Does anybody hear that lovely R160 Siemens propulsion somewhere in there?
Is there any chance of you actually boarding a train and filming from the lead car?
Everytime I go on the 2009 stock it always have to wait at the station for long, I think it's because the 1967 stock is slow
i discovered this channel through this video almost 7 years ago, make another one bro
This train sounds wicked awsome!
Saulracing: 2:05 "I love these trains"
I love them too
Why does the 2009 stock always come slow at victoria station
Jayvoltage253 because there was another train
Since the Victoria line is on the most frequent lines in the world, they usually have to wait before entering the station due to the train infront still hasn't vacated the platform yet, meaning the y have to gain speed just to decelerate again
Decent accelerate then decelerate motor sound: 4:21, 7:52, 8:52.
Its like that in most places on the tube. However, now they are putting in humped platforms as they refurbish the platforms. This allows for at least part of the platform to be aligned with the floor level for wheelchair access.
Who was filming next to u?
@Southernrailwaysfan At least 17 trains are in service (out of 47).
Ahh the amount of people that keep staring...
Saulracing: 8:52 I love this part too ❤❤
Saulracing: 4:14 I love this part ❤❤
I like the train even the aound of it!

Does the 2009 have large gangways simmilar to the s stock?
no
The trains will be refurbished in the future to have a lot of important features to suit the needs for a 21st century rapidly growing capital.
Danny Polonsky no. The shape looks like the 1992 stock
@elevatorlover123 :D every1 love these 2009 stocks lol :)
@Jayvoltage253 its bcuz of the 1967 stocks
I've always liked the 2009 stock
But they won't be as good as the 1967 stock
OMSILondonLad, newer always means better.
You what now? You can take pics of trains, just so long you don't use flash (or a tripod on LU).. you can definitely film as well.
Seems As Those 'New Trains' Are A Bit Taller Than The Other Deep Level Units On Other Lines Because Of Tunnel Diamater
Yea the loading gauge in the victoria line tunnels is slightly larger.
Blackhorse Road is the least used station on the Victoria line. According to Wikipedia and RUclips.
I thought it was Pimlico, since it's the only station on the line without an interchange
xenon headlamps look awesome :)
Its very busy with the train coming in and out
new victoria train?
The 2009TS looks very simular to the 1992TS
Is this the S7 stock but with out walk through carriages?
Nope, 2009 and S Stock trains are completely different.
Well what are the differences. I mean the designs are kind of the same
The main difference is that the S Stock is a sub-surface train, and the 2009 Stock is a deep level tube train.
tiger fists
Deep Tube normally has a lower carrage, so if they do stop at a sub-surface station, they are normally a foot or two lower then the plat form. the sub-urface duesnt even fit in the deep tube tunnels so no point goin in depth.
Lol, found my old account, I'm a lot more educated now.
I like the sound of the 2009 stock.

@Jayvoltage253 u mean the 1967 stocks :)
you really missed Victoria station?
He didnt
@wheelpsych94 It's funny because I just got back from DC after half a year and now that you mentioned it I hear it too!
my favourite stock!!!!!!!!
@Cazkumali yes :)
Yes this is excellent footage. I like these trains, I just wish they alternated with the 1938s just to get some balance between the old and the new :-)
Can you travel between the cars?
No.
***** So the larger trains? How about the deep level trains?
***** Would be nice though. It would help ease up congestions.
+ The comerdy network and distric line as well
Ni
hi , can i use some of those on my video ?? :) i will write your name with it
@wheelpsych94 your right actually
@bbtvN lol kl wats it like in china is it nice ? :)
Victoria line and Jubilee extension are my two favourite parts of the Underground, the service is so quick unlike many parts.
Am I the only one here who doesn't like the design of the front of the train nor its replacement of the 1967 Stock?
What happenned at 5:40? lol.
@BenTesla1 thnks :) i'll have a look :)
They should use 2009 stock on other lines (Bakerloo and Piccadilly)
Etra Zombanya ウルトラ - アルバニー , the Picadilly and Bakerloo line trains use S7 Stocks.
S7/S8 would be too big for the tunnels. And they are sub-surface trains. Piccadilly and Bakerloo are deeplevel.
No the S7 is used on the Hammersmith and City, Circle and District lines. 1973 stock are used on Piccadilly and 1972 stock on the Bakerloo
Armann and Aaryan were the first to be the final four to the first round of the first game against new haven the first world championships and two in a game with an impressive
Etra Zombanya ウルトラ - アルバニー ,
Nice! Underground
1:07 the light turned big 😮
@AcetheHedgehog790 thats awesome dude :) ur videos r awesome ;)
These are 1992 stock trains. Not 2009 or 'S' stock trains. But they do look similar so I don't blame you for getting this wrong
SpringPanic4317 not. Look at the face
These arent 1992 stock, they look different. The title is correct as this is 2009 stock
No,it's the 2009 Stock trains,look at it.
must be crazy, handrails, colours, length and traction, it ain't a 1992 tube stock
I used to live here but now I feel sad...
@BenTesla1 its ok no worries
are the 2009 Victoria line trains driverless?
of course not!
luis halpern ⚾️🚞🚞🚞🚞
.xz, zmmsm.
1:58 you can barely see a driver. But these trains do have ATO equipped on them so they maybe unmanned in the future
These trains are actually Semi-ATO, which means a driver WILL need to be present as the ATO on the trains have no way of turning around.
The Anything Show They run automatically between stations but need drivers to avoid dangers
thank you and i went on 660 or 880 not sure to piddcauly circus and 160 to manor house and i live in Hensley Point
6:35 down 4:09 up hello there 5:34

2009TS and S Stock trains are nice
@LondonCityTour yes they do

my faviout line!! becuse of it trials.
The front looks similar to the S-stock trains
jarryd7470 yes it does, that’s because I believe the 2009 and s stocks were built by the same company
They also have similar motors since they was both built by Bombardier (probably spelt wrong)
I didnt even notice lol
opps I forgot about that station at the time
i dnt no about any of u guyz but i LOOVVEE TRAINSSS!
