Brilliant thanks.Just preparing for my first mace.Hopefully arrives tomorrow.Crossing my fingers that 10lb is not to heavy.Am fairly fit slight build 73y old male.Waiting for 7lb mace coming at end of month as a fall back if I am starting too ambitious.Found your videos much more inspiring than the ones by 15 stone muscle monsters apart from the Flowing Dutchman.Om shanti.

I liked the flowing Dutchman but was concerned when he just doubled his weights into unknown territory aaaaaaand he hurt himself. I’m 65 and I’ve run out of 2nd chances. This place is wiser, think I’ll hang here.

Loving the industrial background. I feel like some of Coil's more ambient work would be a nice soundtrack.

In your previous video’s you mentioned “Bus stops” along the way. I take these forward when I watch your next video, anchoring these points then working on the fluid motions in between, ending with a full movement. Perhaps we might meet one day in your class, we both know that’s the best way. Unfortunately it might be a very long time until that happens…until then 🙏

That is a iconic industrial site in Bellingham near the waterfront. It was a paper mill, now it is restored and will be our new waterfront zone.

Try with the smallest weight. It should be around 5lbs.
      2 Reasons
      1) It will probably be the cheapest and if it turns out you don't like working out with a steel mace you will have invested minimally.
      2) As a beginner one of the most important things is learning the correct technique. With the smallest weight that will be the easiest.
If you like training with steel mace and you have the correct technique you can buy a heavier mace at a later stage.

You should pivot on the balls of your feet to establish better balance, when you pivot or shift on your heals you naturally compromise your balance.
