    Nice list. I have a male dovii growing out and is around 7 inches atm. I don't think the thing knows what relaxing is. As soon as there is any movement he gets pissed and starts shaking and shit. He's a sweet fish if you wanna grow something up that gets big as a loner.

      There not aggressive at all. The alligator gar get like 12 ft but are gentler than dolphins. Actually some dolphins can be nasty
      But yes u are 100% correct. People see big teeth and assume it's mean. I think any and all reported attacks by allegedly gars, turned out to be alligators, accidental bites and simply misidentification of unknown

  • @TheOmegaSanction
    @TheOmegaSanction 10 месяцев назад

    I see the term of "Aggressive Fish" As a fish that generally does NOT get along well with others in it's tank. ANY predatory fish will get aggressive in the presence of food and in the action of hunting and consuming it so this list doesn't really tend to the literal or actual term well. RTC's for example are docile as hell and don't mess with anything in the tank that it's NOT Trying to actively eat. You can put ANYTHING in a tank with an RTC so long as it's not small enough to fit in it's mouth. Is the fish aggressive? NO....but if and when its hungry if said tank mates are SMALL enough, they are in danger for sure.
    Legit Aggressive fish? Shit like a WOLF Chichlid, would be more so the case. Just angry af, for no reason other then the fact that it can and wants to be and just doesn't tolerate anything else sharing it's space for ANY reason. THOSE are aggressive fish and more true to the definition, there were some examples here though that fit, Like Goliath Tiger or the Wolf fish however.

    1. Should be Goliath tigerfish. They are known for their aggression, and seem to do it for the fun of being aggressive.
    Red devil and trimac cichlids are about as pissed off as any dovii and jaguar cichlid. Okay, perhaps a tad bit less, but really they could have been number 2, 3, or 4 on this list. As well as the jaguar cichlid I mentioned. Jaguars are basically dovii cichlids, kinda. I think it's one of or there closest relative. And the one I have my brother in law(jaguar cichlid) is so nasty and still young, under ten inches still. But it strikes at the glass when your anywhere close to the tank. For it thinks that the area around the outside of the aquarium is it's territory too.
    Also, piranhas, red bellied, are less aggressive than gourami's even. Some gourami's are actually kinda aggressive, especially the kissing gourami. Those things are nasty! But red bellied piranha are super docile, and actually very scared and timid. They get nasty when you have a pack of maybe 8 and definitely more. That's why they most likely shoal around in the wild. Cause safety in numbers.
    Instead if the red bellied piranha, you should have actually put "bucktooth tetra" aka exodon". They are another pack hunter, small, related to piranha too. But, tho the to can he timid. They will act out in fits of anger and devour their shoal mates if the shoal becomes small in numbers. And they do have a mean disposition. I had one with my African cichlids and he held his own and became one of the gang.
    Alligator gar aren't aggressive at all.
    Relative to it's size the "pea pufferfish" is about as aggressive as they come
