Hey Nick, Thanks for all the informational videos you guys put out ! I'm (or at least thinking) suffering from breathing OCD in a way that i feel the need to control the breathing and can't "get" a normal breathing rythem. It is not the fear of noticing the breathing which wouldn't bother me but the fear of not breathing correctly/ not knowing how to. For example i currently forcefully exhale completely through the nose to a point where my abdomen is completely squeezed, only then "my body" lets me inhale again. Do you have any advice/tips to tackle that problem using REBT ?
    Thanks!

Hey Asperin! Yes the same principles apply , but you'll want to lean into not needing to take that large of breath. This will probably cause panic sensations, but overall it's the best thing for you.

Hey Nick! Great video and content ✨
I’ve been suffering with breathing OCD for quite some time now. You speak of getting comfortable with the discomfort. How do you manage daily task and responsibilities with chronic anxiety present?

Hey Lex - great question! So the first thing I needed to do was look at my life structure to see where it was lacking (hygiene, exercise, nutrition, stop smoking, stop other addictive behaviors, stop video games, work on sleep structure, work on anger, etc.etc.), which took time to see it all through. I am not sure when I had this realization, but one day it occurred to me if I wanted to be someone who got better I had to be willing to do what most people say, but won't do :-) This took time of course! You can get there too :-)

@@aguywhohikes1271 that is great! Thank you for sharing! 💓 because I often find it hard to stay present in what I’m doing while the cloud of OCD and anxiety is there.
