Welcome back to another video from Chelmswood Junction.
In this video we are out on location at Birminghams NEC for key model world live show 2023.
the event is not just a model railway exhibition their are models from airfix and there is radio controlled trucks and cars.
and peter watermans making tracks the final frontier but unfortunately when I was around the layout it was suffering from technical difficulties.

It was a fab event wished they had more like scalextric and maybe mecanno but they might do it next time.

Hi Peter, as one of the operators this afternoon on the making tracks layout I just want to clarify that before the world record attempt we were told to stop running the trains to prepare for the measurement train to be set off, as you can appreciate if during the record attempt the train had stopped the attempt would have failed so we had to make sure everything was perfect, there was a couple of issues which needed attention and they were being sorted just prior, I hope this helps explain why there wasn't any trains running for over half an hour or more mid afternoon.
It does and I am over the moon that you guys won the jackpot of the record I didn't mean to be critical I was so looking forward to seeing it in all it's glory but was worried it was going wrong for you all.

Thank you for producing a informative video of this new show at the NEC it was nice to get a insight into this new exhibition, as I have only ever been to the Warley Show and a few local ones in the MIDLANDS like Sutton Coldfield and Stourbridge, Kidderminster etc .👍
The way I looked at it it was for any modeller and I hope they care this on in the future but hope they add scaextric and maybe mecanno and even war hammer etc

Thank you for doing this video Peter, I just couldnt get this this weekend, so to see what it was like through your eyes is fantastic.
Pete did get the record so they must have got trains moving again. I know theyve had huge issues with shorting. I guess alls well that ends well I suppose.

As always thank you so much for your comments and glad you have updated me that they did get the award.
They did have problems all day think that with all the mobile phones and the structure of the halls didn't help as they use wireless controllers.
My next big event will be gets so hope I might see you their.
