I feel like simply tying a knot rather than adding a ferrule doesn’t hold up as long. My doll (that AG restrung and knotted even) is already loose versus ones I’ve used ferrules on. 🤷♀️
I’ve been testing this theory for years and so far all my dolls I’ve strung and knotted have held up amazingly well over the last 10+ years. But it also might be the size/strength of elastic ag uses. The elastic I use is thicker and stronger and much harder to pull than what ag uses so that might make a difference too.
I have a $2 thift store doll her one leg is dangling by the elastic. I don't know if i should cut the leg or unstuff her and try fixing the leg with out cutting the elastic
