When Jimmie Johnson passed Kyle Busch for 2nd, he passed him on the high side in turns 3 & 4. What did he do to Matt Kenseth, went to the high side and won.
For some reason, this Jimmie Johnson photo finish doesn't get discussed with his others (Carl Edwards/Bobby Labonte in '05, Clint Bowyer Talladega 2011) Probably because the cirumstances felt different (Edwards going for his first win, Labonte's last great chance to get a win) whereas Kenseth was already well established with a boatload of wins.
'Just the way Carl Edwards beat him at Atlanta last year and just the way he came back later in the season to beat Carl Edwards...' Carl Edwards didn't finish 2nd in any of Jimmie's 2005 wins (Kyle Busch 2x, Kurt Busch, Bobby Labonte)

At around the 9:40 mark they're talking about the hall of fame being created and being in Charlotte, and it's absolutely crazy to think it's 2019 now and Jeff Gordon Roger Penske Jack Roush have been inducted. Sadly it's nowhere near as meaningful I feel as it would've been in 2006, and that's a damn shame. I really hope Nascar can figure something out and make the sport at least half as good as it was during the Dale Sr/Jeff Gordon/Tony Stewart eras.

I think thats the 2nd win for Darian as interm for chad. Head Start to Dominance from 2006 Daytona 500 to 2010 Ford 400
I prefer these boys over the nbc coverage but havin Benny Parsons in there with them would have been the cherry on top 😁😎😁
