A bunch of Hipsters trying to be into Soul. Any DJ worth their salt would have played the Original. But the crowd would not understand the significance so need the uptempo beat. FAKE as for the dancing..............................
Not a bunch of hipsters at all my friend,just a bunch of new soul ears ,most of these kids never heard this music before. Me being a Wigan casino, mecca,Cliftonville Hall, Stafford, oh and ritz Manchester veteran know a little about soul music, and so does the young kid who runs the place and it's sold out every time,what the aim was ,to bring new younger people into the scene so it carries on ,instead of a soul night with about 6 old geriatrics on the floor and the rest sitting round on tables getting pissed, so no there not what you say they are and the dj only plays original vinyls I know cause I collected em over the last 48 years,
