  • OrthoGraph's new 3D measurement function makes it easy to measure ceiling elements and lighting. At normal building surveying it is always hard to measure accurately or even in some cases roughly the position of furniture above the personal reachable level. Bringing ladders became the past due to the new feature of OrthoGraph and the Leica DISTO X3 and X4 products with DST360 extension.
From now on you should simply place down the laser distance meter on its stand to a position in the room, measure 2 corners and the floor and then you are ready to simply point and shoot any element in the room to measure its position. All elements are automatically placed down to OrthoGraph's BIM model in 3D, and you also can choose to snap the new elements to the floor, ceiling or wall, if you don't want to place them to their accurate 3D position.
This also helps placing down columns, beams and any furniture you would like to place accurately on your floor plan, BIM model.
This feature is available from version 2.0.22 with OrthoGraph Enterprise or OrthoGraph Pro subscriptions.

Hi I have a question for a survey of an external building, what error does this instrumentation have compared to a total station? Have any comparisons been made? are we talking about centimeters or millimeters? Thank you

What app are you using ? I thought I had all of them but I just opened my 360 - already have a x4 and am getting super frustrated - mine does NOT look like yours. I am a cabinetmaker - on PAUSE - and was excited about learning a better way to take site measurements ... I’ve watched every video on you tube and my disto plan app is missing the 3D / ortho tab that I keep seeing - or something ... any help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks so much

This is not the standard DISTO Plan app, this is called OrthoGraph. Try getting more information at www.orthograph.net/enhome.html and download the free 14 days trial from that page.

I'm using the Leica disto S910, but the orthograph application does not work. After calibration i put the red point into my room and point the device down towards the floor but nothing happens. I have bluetooth connection and the Disto S910 is in remote control. Im stuck with the red screen where the app ask me to aim my disto at the floor and tap the screen. What to do?

Leica DISTO S910 support is coming in the next update of OrthoGraph. Till today we supported the 3D measurement only with the Leica DISTO X3 and X4 + DST360 cradle, and this only for iOS users. Now it’s going to be expanded with this device on iOS. Check for the iOS AppStore for the update coming soon.

Why is this tripod so damn expensive??? The FTA 360 For the D series is a fraction of the price!

I've written a post comparing this disto to the Bosch, Mileseey and the ADA, as I've been using all of them it might be interesting for you to find an alternative, howtolearn.me/comparison-between-laser-meters-bosch-glm-120c-leica-x4-mileseey-p7-ada-cosmos-150/
