Slide disassembly idea- put you hands and gun inside a clear plastic bag to remove spring tension parts. When they go BOOOOOIING! they wont have anywhere to go, except in your plastic bag.
12:54 "For some of you, it might be a crescent wrench!" Truer words have never been spoken! Why go find a hammer, when a crescent wrench is right next to you? Incidentally, one of the best videos I've ever seen on how to do a procedure like this!
I've tried several triggers in my Hellcat and the MCARBO one is by far the most comfortable and is easily what I consider to be the best of the bunch. Sold the rest and this one remains. Great upgrade!
@@rookiboi26I have the Apex, it is insanely good and I'm more accurate and fast with a sub HCP than with some full sized guns in great part to it. That said, it is not comfortable. I get a little pinch here and there from the safety blade. Have not tried any others on the HCP.
I installed the titanium striker assembly and the trigger and springs into my Hellcat Pro. I could to be happier. It is fantastic. I installed the striker assembly first and it alone reduced my trigger to 4.5 lbs and improved smoothness. Then installed the aluminum trigger and spring. I also adjusted out some of the pre-travel. The aluminum flat trigger is a huge improvement. The Hellcat is an incredible gun with exceptional grip, size, and capacity. For small gun it is easy to keep on target. . However, the 7 lbs stock trigger was a killer. M*Carbo has out-done Apex on this one. It is my opinion that this is as good as it gets.
Just installed mine that came in the mail today, stock trigger pull was 5.7lb average of 5 pulls, after install went to a 4.42 average of 5 pulls. Take up is shorter, installed set screw all the way and backed off 1 turn. Very nice. Will shoot this weekend and update accordingly. This is also the third trigger set I have bought from Mcarbo, all were excellent.
Great instructional video. Explained everything very well. Took me like 15 minutes from start to finish. No polishing or other touch ups done. Just installed the complete kit. Smooth, crisp 4lbs every time. This is EXACTLY what the Hellcat Pro needed IMO. Everything else on the pistol was just right... Except the dang trigger. Great job MCarbo on the FCG refit!
❤BIG THANKS to M-CARBO🇺🇸! I went to their website n bought A kit called SF hellcat triggers spring kit & steel sleeve which has all BUT the trigger and the fire-pin (does have the fire-pin steel sleeve). I just installed it today n cut down 1.2 lbs trigger pull 🎉🎉🎉(from 6 to 4.8, smooth), new pistol, I am HAPPY! PS: I think it’s only $60 w fast free shipping!
Just in time. Just got Pro yesterday. Triggered Glock like which means not great. Love the gun however enough that I’m gonna buy the smaller version this week. May as well doing both at the same time. I concur this is a great no BS video.
I just replaced my trigger with the full kit on my Hellcat Pro went together just like the video shows. The only suggestion I would make is when you are reinstalling the safety spring, spend an extra minute on showing the safety button orientation other that than great video and instructions are spot on.
Great tutorial, didn't skip any steps or go too far into details that don't matter. Was able to follow along and complete the whole job in half an hour, plus some cleaning time. The upgrade feels great too, can't wait to get to the range!
picked up your guys trigger right after i took home my pro when it first came out. been in love with the trigger ever since, now if only this video existed when i first installed it lmao
It lowered my groups from 4.5-5 inches to around 2.5 once average. Since the trigger is smother and easier to pull my hand wasn’t pulling down to the left as much.
I used Mcarbo parts for my Savage rifles and love the ease of installation and functionality of the items. The kit is on backorder, but I will definitely be upgrading my hellcat soon
This is honestly one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen, good lighting, good camera angles, entertaining and good explanations of everything going on.
Just got this kit and installed in my hellcat pro, makes a whole world of difference in the feel of the gun and this video makes it stupid simple to install. Got it done in about 10 minutes
BRAVO BRAVO Greatest ever product video EVER! the "special efx" sounds epic! Crap, I guess I gotta get a hellcat so I can have such an awesome experience! Thank you for a great product spotlight and installation video!
Once I get this hellcat pro I definitely will buy that kit once I break in however I pretty much enjoy ur video thanks for ur efforts and time demonstrating this to us looking forward to see more hellcat pro kit upgrade
Definitely prefer this trigger to other aftermarket ones. I only did the trigger shoe but definitely worth every penny. Only issue I had was I had to back screw out at least three turns for all the way in. Trigger would not reset otherwise.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge! Also great comedy at the beginning there. Despite this video being very informative, I think it is best if I send mine in for yall to do the work.
Good job on the video! No rambling, I'm surprised. Straight to the point with just enough splainin to rather effectively communicate the dissassembly I and assembly. I could have avoided some tinkering if I watched this before I took mine apart a few times. Video looks good as well. Nice. I've got a competitors trigger so I may or may not get that but I'm getting the springs and striker for sure. Thanks
Great Video - looks like a great upgrade. Looks better than the Apex. Once I get some rounds through the Hellcat Pro, I will be order all those parts.....
What a great videos . I’ve already watched the other one on the channel like 3 times installed my own kit minus the trigger shoe and rewatched this one to see if it was as precise and it was. I installed the Apex shoe since a buddy had an extra one but it didn’t remove as much take up and doesn’t have a set screw. In all honestly if you have other color shoes besides black or an American flag design I would have the M Carbo one in it now. I have the red freedom flag Apex trigger. Please make an extended mag released and slide lock so I don’t have to pay 60$ plus for Apex ones. By far the best upgrade on my Hellcat pro!!!
Amazing video!! From start to finish I was able to completely follow along without getting lost. For never having disassembled a firearm completely, I was able to install this trigger in firing pin with no problem. Thanks!
Awesome tutorial! Had some trouble with the trigger setting screw and it did not stay glued in when I was taking the allen out (pretty sure a screw up on my end. I’ll let you know in a week or so on how the kit upgrade went!
I went though this installation 3 time now. I feel like there is some significantly sponginess to breaking the wall. Is there something I should be looking out for when installing to can lead to this?
Question for the pre travel soo for the least amount of pre travel you want to have the trigger bar as far down as possible then tighten the set screw? Idk why I’m confused about this part. I just shot mine and want less pre travel
Oh, so it sounds like you got the regular Hellcat instead of the Pro model like mine with 15 round mags. I don't know about you but mine came with a mag loader. That seems like that's what you need. On very rare occasions when encountering difficult magazines ,I brace them on a table top and press the cartridges down. You just need strong thumbs.
Just installed the striker set along with a DPM recoil reduction system and I’m excited to go try them out. I can already feel a good difference in the trigger just by dry firing it. Still on the fence about getting the actual trigger just because I want this to keep the stock appearance.
@ ended up getting the trigger as well and all together it’s perfect. I used the lightest recoil spring. After around 500 rounds I have had 0 light strikes or jams using all kinds of ammo. I prefer 124 grain ammo but 115 works just fine.
I don't get how so many people can be happy with this "upgrade'. First off, its stupid expensive for what it is. I'd also beg to differ on the "3lb" resulting trigger as mine is more like 6 after dry firing at least 300 times. Oh, and the trigger safety no longer works. I see I can fix that with a file, but for nearly $200 in parts I shouldn't have to. Had to take mine apart at least 3 times because replacing the mag disconnect is glossed over. The whole 'S down" is BS as both ends of the spring are actually open, one is just a little more open than the other. And no mention of replacing the C clip! Totally disappointed. IMO I'd have gotten the same or better results just by polishing...which I did WITH the mcarbo parts and I'm still thoroughly disappointed. I think many of the commenters are suffering from Placebo Syndrome. They paid for it so they think it must be better..even when its not.
It is an awesome package too!! It reduced my trigger to 3lbs I love it!
How did you get 3 pounds but he got 4 pounds
I bought the trigger but didn't know I was going to need the HellCat.. brb

Would you say it’s better than the apex trigger. can’t decide what to go with there is so man options wish I could test em all before purchasing.
@@rookiboi26 I don't know that "better" is how I'd describe it, but personally I like the MCARBO feel and function very much.

Any experience with the PRP trigger assembly?. I did the upgrade to my XDsc and really liked it. Thinking about doing the same to the hellcat.
@@j8nkies20 I like the feel of the MCARBO best, but the PRP would be a nice upgrade as well.

Please do an updated video for California compliant with magazine disconnect safety.
Yes I second an updated video for the CA compliant Hellcat Pro with the magazine disconnect. Not sure if that comes out easily or not.
Isn’t there a way to remove the magazine disconnect?
